We visited Dixie Pig while heading to Mississippi for the winter, and it was never a disappointment! The food offered there has great options to choose from - fish, barbecue, even the best pig fries! The fries and pulled pork are both in perfect portions and drizzled with house bbq sauce. It's delicious for both the fish and the fries dish! As always, the service is excellent with the staff as welcoming and friendly for a casual restaurant in NE Arkansas. Most of the customers were acquainted with everybody, giving the best ambiance and family atmosphere to the restaurant! Give this bbq place a try if you're visiting Blytheville!

If you're in looking for good BBQ, I would pass this place up. We were driving home from the south and wanted BBQ. I had the pulled pork sandwich, but didn't realize this didn't come with a side - so I ordered french fries and baked beans, thinking the fries came with it. I remember one of the sides being fairly expensive. He had the chopped pork plate. The pork was good, not fatty. But the sides SUCKED!! All of them. And worst of all, there was ONE sauce and it was hot and vinegar - it was not good at all. I read another review about the service sucking and I would agree with that. We were given one cup of sweet tea each and never received refills until we were leaving. This was not worth leaving the highway for.

Thank you Yelp for another gem! I rated it four stars because it should be at least a 3 star restaurant. I ordered the large bbq sandwich with fries. Cost- $6.75. As I was eating my sandwich with the STRONG vinegar "Original" sauce, I heard rumors of a "Rib Sauce" which is more thick. I would recommend trying the original sandwich with the RIB SAUCE. This holds par with most chopped beef sandwiches in Texas, and reminds me of the BBQ served in Baltimore. The sandwich was cooked perfectly and is served without sauce. The sauce is on the table and settles quickly. Put your thumb on the cap and give it a turn or two, it mixes the vinegar and water, and you are set. Also this place is rumored to be inspiration for the Dixie Pig referenced in Stephen King's The Dark Tower. I also had to keep myself from talking Aggie baseball with the table beside me complaining about Arkansas' team this year. Whoop! Gig Em! etc etc

Delta BBQ all made in house with a lot of history behind it. Good portions and prices with basic ole fashioned cooking. Loved the pecan pie. The staff was friendly and generous with us. The teens loved the crispy outside and soft inside buns. We enjoyed the pig sandwhich, BBQ plate and ham plate. All was delicious although I found the BBQ plate a little dry. But add their homemade Dixie pig sauce and problem solved. Add the BBQ or ham onto their buns and it's fabulous. Lots of quirky decor. Would go again next time we are in the area. Great people and lots of stories.

Local Bar with Massive Rib-eyes…read more Mcadoo's is an experience, and one you should explore if you are in the Blytheville area. I have, over the years, wanted to go and check the place out, but a combination of not being able to find it and not having enough time has always kept me from a visit. During my last visit to Blytheville, a business colleague and I decided to check this infamous establishment out and have a business dinner, beers, and rib-eyes. Mcadoo's is located in central Blytheville, across from the fire station, and it is in a simple metal shack, which can make it hard to find. There are no signs on the building, just the name written on the entrance door. Inside, you find a fully functioning bar with pool tables and plenty of tables to sit at. Mcadoo's has an old-school vibe as the inside is lit up by old-school red lights. Like bars of old, you can smoke inside; keep this in mind if you are a non-smoker or have allergies to smoke. Mcadoo's has a fully stocked bar, but it's mostly known for its rib-eye steaks. Our server came to our table and informed us that they had no apps and that our only options were rib-eye with salad, baked potato, and toast, or rib-eye with toast, as nothing else was available on the menu. The rib-eyes took about twenty minutes to arrive, and they were massive and cooked to perfection. The salad and the baked potato were fresh and okay, but the focus was on the steak. The steaks were juicy and tender, and they were also very affordable. The allure of Mcadoo's is the experience, the full bar and the affordable rib-eyes. It is also a favourite place for locals to hang out. Overall, a good experience and a great rib-eye dinner.

Miss Barbara is a most delightful hostess and owner. Looking for local color? This is the place. The entrance does not face the road so you will have to look for the building that looks like a body shop, but the spacious interior has a big bar and plenty of seating with several pool tables. Clearly this is a neighborhood hangout.

On this day of the week (Wednesday), the restaurant featured their fried chicken. A local resident had strongly and repeatedly recommended Mae's food. My friend and I both ordered the fried chicken. I'm sure glad that I did! It was perfectly breaded, seasoned, and cooked. We were given our choice of cut, and we both chose chicken breasts. It was nicely-sized and fresh. I would definitely recommend it, and I would order it again. For side items, the collard greens, sweet potatoes, and blackeye(d) peas were all delicious and properly prepared. I ate every last bit, especially since the portion sizes were a bit too small. I would suppose that tiny portions dramatically reduce food waste. The square of cornbread was quite welcomed. I had also heard that Mae's cooks up some delicious pork chops (on Thursdays) and meatloaf (some Fridays). I look forward to trying those as well. The building doesn't have central air conditioning, but rather a series of window units. During the height of summer, it can get uncomfortably hot inside the restaurant, so they do a lot of take out business. If you want to eat inside, be sure to pick a cool/cloudy day. Also, the parking situation is a bit chaotic, with no designated spaces marked out. It's kind of a free-for-all. The safest bet is to backup into an open spot, just for better visibility when you leave. I made the mistake of parking head-in. It took me forever to back out. The street that runs in front of the restaurant is full of fast and careless drivers. Be sure to take some cash with you, because this place doesn't accept any credit or debit cards.

Hash-browns were very delicious, and muffin was phenomenal. Country fried steak was underwhelming. Again, our waitress did the best we could ask for, exception to the coffee. Recenty Renovated…read more I've stayed at the Holiday Inn in Blythville a few tomes over the years. Downstairs they have two restaurants, one is a Perkins and the other is Bistro Eleven 21. The Bistro serves classic American fare and is known locally for it's collection of Craft Beers. The last time I ate here I the hotel was ungoing renovations and we had to eat in one of the conference rooms. Now that the Bistro and the hotel are renovated, I choodse to eat here again. One of my favourite starters at the Bistro is their Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp which I have had countless times. As always it was cooked just right without overcooking the shrimp. For my Mian course I had a grilled 'Chipotle' PorkChop from the new menu. This 14 oz. bone -in Pork chop Chipotle Pork Chop is served frenched and seasoned with chipotle rub then rubbed with creamy bacon and mango sauce and served with herb rice & vegetable du jour. This is a huge meal but worth every penny and a nice change from having barbecue, fish or steak which are my goto's when I travel. The Chop was cooked medium-well but still tender and a bright pink in the center. The cmbined flavours make this a dish I will try again when I'm in the area next.
