1/2 pig- feeds about 4 people

I've always wanted to eat suckling pig in Spain. I hear it's a tradition out here so I found this place that had great reviews on TripAdvisor. Came here during lunch around 2pm and this place was empty. I give it 5 stars for service and 4 stars for food. Our server William was exceptionally knowledgeable and kind and very attentive. There was 3 of us. What to order: The squid fritters - it's like a croquette but in a ball form instead - so delicious croquettes de jamon - also delicious Fried broken eggs with minced pork - this dish was okay. Though it needed a little more salt and the egg was not runny. Baby broad beans - great appetizer. I put this on top of the complimentary bread. The portions for the cochinillo 20.80euros) is good for 1 person. We ordered 1/2 a pig which is good for 4 people. Skin is extra crispy and the meat it so tender. It's so tender that the server uses a plate to cut thru the skin and meat. The pig is also served with a side of sauce (drippings) and it just adds extra flavor to the meat. You can order a salad and potatoes with the pig for extra. They also sell half bottles of wine if you can't drink a whole bottle to yourself. **Valduero wine gave me a huge headache right after.

Planned on coming here for my entire trip, and was not disappointed. I still have dreams about this place. A must if you're in Barcelona.

We decided to walk from Gothic quoter to Sagrada Familia with our 3 girls (age 6 to 9) at some point we got hungry and almost randomly decided to have lunch at this place. What a great decision that was. We had several dishes: ground pork, blood pudding, chorizo, pernil and sangria. This was our 3rd day in Barcelona and we had several disappointing restaurant experiences in Gothic quoter countrary this was our first happy meal :)

Excellent wine. Sufficient range to choose in restaurant.

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

The feta cheese was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like imitation rubber cheese. - The "Al Ajillo" Style Shrimps (GAMBES AMB ALLADA) had a very strange flavor within it, which overwhelmed the garlic flavors. - The Beef Tenderloin (FILET VEDELLA), she had to spit 1/4 of it out because it was too tough. - Everything was overpriced there for the value. If you are in the area DO NOT waste your time nor money dining here!!!

The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!

The menu has a nice variety of items, and they're all pretty small so you can try a lot. Our favorite was the squid sandwich, a super unique must get! We also really liked the garlic shrimp, which had a nice fragrant flavor from the heads. The tiramisu was also delightful with a nice balance of sweet and bitter flavors. We heard the razor clams were really good, but they didn't have any the day we visited which was a bummer!
