Excellent choice of fish and seafood with Catalan specialities. Elegant place with good ambiance, and great service. I can recommend "sapito" fish as a main (white fish with a mild taste and an unconventional consistency: outstanding)... and do not miss the cheese cake! Unexpectedly fabulous !

Food was pretty good. You pay more for the service here and the ambiance of a fancy restaurant. Good bread and octopus.

Restaurant L'olive was a classic and beautiful spot with impeccable service. We sat at the lower level in the back corner directly in front of the glass display. Perfect for a date, anniversary dinner, etc. From arrival when they addressed us by name at check in to our send off when they called for our taxi there was an Extremely high level of detail, service and a very generous and attentive staff throughout the whole dining experience. Very welcoming for me and my wife as tourists especially those that aren't familiar with the local food traditions or native in the local tongue (language). Our favorite course hands down was the dessert! The profiteroles which are a personal favorite of mine and must be tried in any establishment were perfect but only to be topped by the extraordinary and divine passion fruit mousse which I could literally go back for every night of the week!

Excellent interior, fresh renovation. At the entrance smell of burnt bread. Staff is below average. The waiter did not fully accept the order. Brought only water and went to serve the other three tables. Passing by every time nodded - they say yes yes, I see you. In my opinion, this is unacceptable for such institutions. The kitchen is rather mediocre, especially given the price tag. I recommend to see other restaurants in the area. From Guide Michelin everything is much better.

Seafood paella. So yummy and filling! Had a nice cava wine to pair with it.

I had the seafood paella and one of the cheese desserts. Kalamata olives and pork sausage with bread was served as an appetizer. Everything I had was delicious! The seafood paella was very filling and a great portion size. I was very pleased with the wine list, and the restaurant staff was extremely welcoming/accommodating. As to vegetarians: you will have a couple options, but it is a very meat/seafood dense menu. This is Spain after all. The vegetable rice looked very good though!

Love love love! Great service, lovely and lively spot. Food was wonderful and the service was perfection; attentive but fun, excellent wine suggestions and presentation. Steak tartare and cannelloni were highlights, but the pork was divine. Desserts also wonderful. Loved it!

Hidden Gem of Barcelona! Best quality and value in the city. Every dish we tried was 10/10. Will be back again, and again!

I enjoyed my dinner very much at this place when I had my 12-day West Europe tour. Highly recommended.

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

The feta cheese was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like imitation rubber cheese. - The "Al Ajillo" Style Shrimps (GAMBES AMB ALLADA) had a very strange flavor within it, which overwhelmed the garlic flavors. - The Beef Tenderloin (FILET VEDELLA), she had to spit 1/4 of it out because it was too tough. - Everything was overpriced there for the value. If you are in the area DO NOT waste your time nor money dining here!!!

The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!
