The driver of this van ran a stop sign and almost hit me. I then noticed that there was a poor dog wedged behind the backseat. I circled the dog but its head was a lil down and had black fur. This is extremely unsafe and poor treatment of a pet. I would not trust them to care for my dog. read more

If I could give Yappy's 1000 stars, I would. I have a 1 year old mini bernedoodle named Rocco and have bringing him to Yappy's since he was fully vaccinated. They have been helping me care for him and raise him and I couldn't be more grateful. The team at Yappy's is unbelievable. Rocco is a maniac 98% of the time and they are so patient with him. Every person I have met at Yappy's is truly amazing. Always smiling, they treat the dogs so well, they are just a genuinely great team who really care about the pups. I ask Rocco "do you want to go to the playhouse?!" and he does a little dance and can't wait to get into the car. He knows where he is the moment we pull into the parking lot and can't pull away from me fast enough once he's leashed and we go up the stairs into the building. The facility itself is big! They have several separate areas indoors for the different groups of dogs and they rotate bringing them outside to the fenced in turf area to do their business or enjoy the weather and play around. In the summer they put out a couple of kiddie pools for the dogs to play in. It's also super clean considering how many dogs they care for daily. For daycare, they separate the dogs by at least size so he's not in a group with dogs 5x his size. They post so many videos, reels, and pictures on their social medias and it's the cutest thing you've ever seen. All of the dogs are so happy and enjoying their time for sure. For sleepovers, when he was super young, I would drop off his crate and requested he be crated at night so he could continue to have the same structure as home and get used to the crate and they were great about it. A few times after that, I just dropped it off and asked for it to be left open as an option for him if he wanted it and if he could be put in his own space at night and they were super supportive. Now, I don't even bother dropping the crate off and he gets to sleep and hang with the other pups for a fun sleepover! They have a separate bedroom on site where a person will stay with all the sleepover guests overnight so there is always someone with the pups 24/7. Of course Rocco makes himself right at home and gets up on the bed right against the person staying over with them on his back with all 4 paws in the air haha. They will groom him or give him a bath before I pick him up especially after a longer stay. You can email or call Yappy's and they have an awesome app you download to your phone, you upload all of your pet's information and health records, and you can book your daycare and sleepover appointments right in the app. You pick your days and dropoff and/or pickup time. It shows pending at first and then confirmed if they have a spot open or waitlist if they are full but sometimes they have cancellations day of so a spot could open up. The owner, Kathy, also texts so anytime I need something or she has an update about Rocco, she will text (or call in an emergency of course). The communication is amazing! Also in the app is all of the pricing including daycare and sleepover packages you can purchase in bulk for a discount. They are so attentive to the dogs. One time Rocco threw up a foreign object and they texted me immediately and sent me a picture of what he threw up. It was just a piece of his bully stick he had the day before that wasn't digesting thankfully but they were so great about it. Another time they texted me because they noticed his nails were a little on the longer side. He had just been groomed a few weeks prior but they didn't cut them short enough so Yappy's took care of it for me. I was away when his first birthday arrived and they spoiled him rotten and sent me the cutest pictures. For holidays, they will dress the pups up and take adorable pictures to take home with you. We are from out of town and made a last minute decision to go to Salem for a few days. I reached out to Kathy at Yappy Pups to see if they could care for our dogs while we were in town. She was so welcoming and friendly. She sent me the paperwork and I was able to get the shot records to her through email so check in would be easier. Our dogs had so much fun during their stay! It's so tough leaving pups while vacationing, but Kathy kept me updated and sent photos so I could see them playing! Yappy pups has been amazing! About 2 years ago we adopted a dog who was skittish around other dogs and we really wanted to socialize her. Yappy staff was patient with her (and me) as she came out of her shell over time. She absolutely loves her time at Yappy with her puppy friends. My boy absolutely loves it here. Staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, and they do fun things with the pups like Halloween costumes and birthday parties. They also post stories on Instagram and photos on Facebook throughout the day, and occasionally I'll get a text with some pictures of him playing. I would never have my dog picked up by the white van owned by Yappy Pups. I saw the van swerving erratically in a residential neighborhood by the resevior in Lynn this morning. The van was speeding, swerving and narrowly avoided a head-on collision. I pulled up next to the van when I was going to make a right-hand turn to see the driver texting!!! I immediately called Yappy Pups to complain, and the woman that answered seemed somewhat blasey and said, "All of the dogs have been dropped off." WHAT!? Your driver is a menace to society and that is all you can say. I told her that I took note of the writing on the van and the phone number because I considered checking it out for my dog. I love Yappy Pups!! My dog Biscuit went to daycare here 2-days a week for about 3 years. Kathy, Jared & the team are just so great. They do special days like doggy ice cream on the first day of summer and pictures for Christmas, Valentine's Day & Halloween. Biscuit even had a small medical issue one day at daycare and they brought him to the vet for me so I didn't have to leave Boston. We recently moved from Salem so we no longer use them for daycare, but I cannot say enough good things! read more

I can't write an actual review on the daycare itself but I did just witness one of their drivers flying through a residential street in Lynn doing about 30-40 mph with a lab in the front seat. When he blew through the stop sign he had to actual reach over and stop the dog from hitting the windshield.. Not sure about anyone else but I wouldn't trust them to drive my dog around.. And hopefully whoever a dog that was reads this.. It was a black lab with a metal collar on !! read more

Our dog was very happy during her time at Yappy Pups. It was great for socializing her, and it got a lot of her extra energy out. But, I want to warn other pet owners that I do not think the place is very clean. Every time I would go to pick her up, I was overwhelmed by the smell of pee as soon as I opened the door. I know it would be hard to keep a daycare with so many pets clean, but our dog seemed to get sick from being there. She was only a visitor for about four months. During that time, she caught: pinkeye, kennel cough, and Canine Papillomavirus (warts in her mouth). The continuous vet visits and our feeling that the place was not very sanitary were what had us stop sending our dog here. read more

I have been bringing my dog here for a couple months . Everyone is nice so we thought it was a great place . We have had to spend close to 1000 dollars on this daycares mistakes. They REFUSE to take liability for it. My dog drank 3 pounds of water on one occasion. The vet said she got into some water source and drank it all. We called the owner and she tells us my dog has an underlying issue. WRONG she is perfectly healthy as the vet confirmed. This time her stomach is 3 times the normal size from over feeding. The owner is still claiming their innocence. Stating that my dog has something wrong and it is not their problem. Bella is PERFECTlY healthy and fine at home. Never will bring her again. I feel so fortunate to have found this place!! Kathy and Sandra are absolutely fantastic- so warm and caring with the dogs. They genuinely seem happy to see us every time we walk in the door and I know they treat my dog as I would want her to be treated- like a member of the family!! My 7 month old puppy LOVES going and gets excited before the building even comes into sight. I love dropping her off knowing that she is getting great socialization and having a blast. She comes home absolutely exhausted, which is very hard to do to this pup. It is the most reasonable pricing I have found in the area. They are also so accomodating and flexible when it comes to adding an extra day at the last minute or asking for a drop-off at home at the end of the day at the last minute. I have also taken advantage of the other services they offer, such as nail clipping and a bath. It is so convenient to have that available!! My dog is like another child to me and I would only send her to a place that is clean and well-run by trustworthy people- and I feel confident that I found that in Yappy Pups Playhouse. I can't say enough good things about Yappy's!! We just had a baby in October and we love our dog but he is very active and demands a lot of attention. My husband and I both work full time jobs so we knew we needed a convenient and worry free doggie daycare. Yappy's has been a life saver...our dog Charlie goes three times a week and is picked up and dropped off, which saves us so much time. Charlie is so content and happy after going to Yappy's, which has saved us so much stress. The owner Kathy and Jon who does the pickups are awesome, so easy going and nice to work with, we really appreciate how patient they were with Charlie in the beginning (he's a bit high strung, especially when people come to the house) and now he loves going to daycare and can't wait to be picked up! Amazing place. Great customer service, great location... even open on weekends and holidays. Kathy has been awesome to work with and is very responsive. If you want a no-hassle doggy daycare facility that has the ability to pick up your dog from home, I highly recommend this place. My dog was very badly bitten by another dog while at Yappy Pups. When my daughter arrived to pick him up (along with his "brother", who was quite new to our family at that time, and still a bit skittish from his experience in shelters), she found both dogs sequestered from the other dogs, the new one cowering in a corner with excrement all over his fur, and the other bleeding. When she asked the girl who was working what had happened, the girl said she knew of nothing that had happened and didn't know he was bleeding. (Why then, we wonder, were our dogs sequestered from the other dogs?!) She helped clean up the blood and sent them on their way. The cuts were quite deep, so we took the poor little guy right to the vet, who determined upon examining him that he clearly had been chomped down upon by a very large dog (based on the size and shape of the bite marks--there were several). We called the proprietress of Yappy's, and she said she would investigate, but the next morning when I called to find out what had gone on and whether or not she was going to take responsibility for the situation, she actually argued with me that dogs are playful with each other and sometimes things happen. She did not want to accept responsibility, she did not apologize, and she did expect to be paid for the "care" they had received that day. After several times of asking her if she planned to take responsibility, she eventually reluctantly agreed that if I sent the vet bill to her she would pay it. I didn't send the bill to her. But I won't send my dogs there anymore either. In addition to the concern I have that my dog was seriously injured at this facility, I'm certain the owner of the dog that bit mine was never told what happened, and probably still is a client at Yappy Pups. How could I possibly feel my dogs would be safe there again? read more

We initially started to take our dog to Yappy Pups with the intention of bringing him 1-2 days a week to help him socialize with other dogs and get some time away from Mom and Dad. However, we have now found ourselves sometimes going 3-4 days a week because of the care and love his "Yappy Aunts" show him. Our dog is 12 years old therefore, when looking for a daycare, we had some special concerns in mind. At Yappy Pups, all of our previous concerns are met. Our dog's old bones love the sun light and the warmth of the ground and he is receives plenty of outside time to sunbathe. Because our dog has heart disease, we allow him to play at his own pace and Yappy Pups does the same. If he is in a playing mood, he will play, however, if he is not, the Yappy Aunts will spend some time on a bench or on the floor with him. His Yappy Aunts even allowed his cousin to come and play with the other dogs while we dog-sat him for a week. Our dog has his own least hanger and even has his picture of the wall of fame! Other daycares did not make us feel as welcomed and comfortable as Kathy and her staff did. They gave us a tour of the facility and openly greet us and our dog upon arrival or departure. Best of all, Yappy Pups has their own Facebook page that anyone can look at throughout the day where they frequently post pictures. This allows us to see the happy face of our dog while we are at work. I would highly recommend Yappy Pups to anyone as they are caring and dedicated to the well being of our four legged family member! read more
