attended a 100th anniversary celebration recently and must say I was extremely disappointed with the Yardley Country Club. The room was not clean, carpet was disgusting, mirror backdrop was dirty (I cleaned the mirrors) and the service was terrible. The food was cold but tasty. It took over an hour between the salad course and the entree to be served. The coffee was cold. no rolls or breads were served with the meal. They did not own up to the contract and charged more per person then what was quoted. When questioned, was given a "anew" list of charges. Needless to say, I will NEVER go there again whether I am a guest or not. They seriously need to gut the place and start over if they will be continuing to advertise using their place for functions. read more

My review is specifically for golfing. This course is a great course, and the staff is wonderful. The fairways are huge and then covered with trees. It really is a beautiful course. The staff is wonderful and helpful. They obviously are revamping the place; painted buildings, inside, better food. They are really trying to make this more appealing and a better place to golf which is something I appreciate. 10/10 recommend. read more

This place is absolutely gorgeous. I recently attended a brunch in one of the upstairs rooms and I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was beautiful, and the views were breath taking. We had some amazing food. Chicken piccata that was cooked perfectly, and stuffed shells that were very big and tasty. The dessert lay out and presentation was stunning. My husband and I had our wedding here in October of 2019. The venue itself is beautiful, the golf course is beautiful, the set up was gorgeous, and the food was delicious. However, please, PLEASE, do not have your wedding here. Save yourself the aggravation - you don't deserve the frustration on your big day. The entire process leading up to the event was a nightmare. The banquet manager (Amy) is extremely unresponsive and makes you feel like a huge inconvenience whenever you contact her (or ask her a question in person when the point of the meeting is to ask questions. She gets very harsh with you at times over small things, like asking how the room will be set up). We were stood up by her twice (twice!) when she had made very clear appointments with us. Our flower vendors, (who were absolutely AMAZING and nothing but sweet) said she was the rudest banquet manager they've ever spoken with. We were so embarrassed. There were a few staff members who were kind and helpful on the day of, but most were not. The bartender started charging guests for their drinks until someone in my family stepped in and told her that was not correct - we had paid for an open bar. She argued with them and had to be told numerous times to give people their money back. Again - we were so embarrassed. The staff was told to move our decorated archway into the reception hall after the ceremony (our banquet manager said that this was completely fine and I even saw her write it down in her day-of instructions to them). The day of, they refused to do it and our wedding party and photographer had to handle it. I felt terrible and yet again, embarrassed. A champagne toast for all the guests was included in what we paid for. There was no champagne for the guests. My husband and I were not served dinner until another family member noticed and had to go find the staff (who were apparently standing around in the kitchen talking). One of the staff members promised to put together a plate of dinner leftovers for us to eat the next day (which would have been excellent and we thanked her profusely!), but she never did. Before the ceremony, we were taken out on golf carts to get our pictures done on the grounds. The attendant who was leading the way drove away with no explanation halfway through the photos. Our photographer had to walk all the way back. She was phenomenal as well, and her exact words were "I'm never agreeing to do a wedding here again". The entire experience felt like a Twilight Zone episode, and we had to force ourselves to laugh about it. The things that made the day the best day of my life was all the hard work of our other vendors, our family and friends, and my wonderful husband. We had an amazing time, but it was in spite of the ridiculously unenthusiastic staff, terrible service, and painful process altogether . We are glad it's over. I've only been one time, as part of a business lunch, so this review will be less than comprehensive. Service was attentive, but there were few folks there on a thursday afternoon. While a good throw from downtown phila, i figured i'd continue my burgerquest here. Standard bacon cheeseburger. Bacon was freshly made and crispy. The burger itself was PERFECTLY formed - almost like it had been stamped out. good flavor, decent size. Not bad, not great, just right in the middle of what a burger can be. The rest of the table ordered a variety of salads (they where huge), seafood bisque (looked good, but no one offered up a comment (like, hey this is great!). While wedding venue shopping, I decided to check out Yardley Country Club. I think the venue is beautiful, the ballroom has panoramic windows and the view is great. The carpet, and some of the decor could be updated though... However, I was super bummed by the customer service I experienced there. I met with Amy to get information. She immediately went into her sales pitch, without even asking me what I wanted in a wedding. Upon hearing that I planned on having a smaller wedding, she completely brushed me aside, and abruptly ended our meeting by handing me a folder of information. I tried contacting her multiple times after our first meeting, it took two weeks for her to contact me back, and by then I was over it. I'm a paying customer, and although she might not get a huge commission from a smaller wedding, I was willing to pay the minimums to have my wedding there. I also was planning my wedding during an undesirable time, and I doubt a bridal shower rental would have spent as much as I would've on my wedding. Super disappointed as I still think the venue is quite lovely. read more

Had the opportunity to play YCC and was left with a less than impressive feeling. The course is a classic tight course that really negates the long ball. Lots of trees overhang fairways and some are actually in the fairway. Mature landscape and decent rough really make you pick your shots wisely off the tee. Fairways are lush, a little soft, but that's probably due to the recent rains. Greens have lots of little quirks but aren't fast. The practice greens (2) are totally different from each other and don't really reflect the greens on the course. The one by the range is slow and the green by the first tee is much faster but it's pitched so the speed is a little deceiving. The actual greens are somewhere in between. Tees are nicely maintained and the look of the course is such that you can tell they do a good job with it but the bunkers were a massive disappointment. No sand anywhere, some of the fairway bunkers hadn't been maintained in months and had weeds and grass growing in them. Greenside bunkers that would get played regularly were hard pan and unplayable as a bunker, we just putted, and pitched bunker shots. The clubhouse is classic and older, but it's in great shape and the locker room has plenty of showers and all the amenities needed. Beverage cart lady was very friendly but we didn't see her until our 14th hole. Once you tee off 1 you won't be back till 12 so brings snack. Overall YCC is a nice challenge and a nice layout but just doesn't Tick enough boxes in my book to make a return trip. read more

My cousin's bridal shower was hosted at YCC, so I can't comment on the golf, but boy, did the green LOOK amazing. Our room had such a lovely panoramic view of the course that I kept finding myself enjoying it...and totally wanting to go steal a golf cart. (Not inspired by the mimosas, I swear) So, a very smart placement of an floor-to-ceiling windows! The servers were very nice, the food was enjoyable (some of the desserts left something to be desired? It was hit or miss. One was great, another was completely bland - this was the general conses us at our table) and we loved that they had an elevator for service to the 2nd floor. This is great when you've got older guests who might not fare well on the stairs. We couldn't help but peak into the other rooms. The main bar looked classy as anything -- and the largest room there seemed the perfect place for the right size of wedding. If another shower or wedding is hosted here in my social circle in the near future, I'm pretty confident it'll be a really nice time! read more

I recently had my daughters bridal shower there ( 5/21/16) I cannot rave enough about the facility.. The room was exactly what we were hoping for overlooking the first tee where we got to watch the future groom tee-off, although it was a gloomy day outside, the Windows brought a lot of light into the room.. The food was fabulous.. We had a few very picky guest there and they still are raving about how great everything was especially the Salmon! The wait staff was friendly and extremely helpful even when I needed somethings out of the ordinary ... Last but not least , I have to acknowledge Heifa... She helped me plan this from beginning to end .. She is quite the asset for this beautiful country club... Thank you... read more

It's a shame. Photos on website seem like a pretty venue. The pricing packages were good also. Made an appointment to meet with the event manager. No call no show. Cant even get in touch with management to visit this place. That alone speaks volumes (who wants to have more stress during special event planning?). Unfortunately, will not be using this venue. read more

We had a holiday party for a networking group at Yardley Country Club last week. We had about 50 people and were in the upstairs bar/banquet area of the clubhouse. The food was fantastic and everyone had an outstanding time. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make it an enjoyable experience for us. Food can vary and the drink prices have gone up but overall a great place to hear live music and dance when they have the local band. If they would consistently have music every week I think it would be a great place to be a "regular". read more

Alexander's Grill is a great bar/pub with awesome draft beer selection, solid pub fare and a terrific view of the golf course. The new wooden floor is a nice upgrade too. We enjoy going there regularly, either after a round of golf or to eat as a family. read more

My husband and I played this course with friends and loved it. It is just the right amount of a challenge, the pace of play was smooth and I did not feel rushed, and the staff was welcoming and very friendly. On top of that, the bar staff is very friendly and makes a great gin and tonic and the food was excellent. The pub could use an update, but other than that we couldn't recommend YCC more. We even decided to join ! read more

Place has a phenomenal steak option with great waiters and waitresses. Golf course is nothing special an acquaintance of mine named Drew said that it was phenomenal and took me out just to see that it was no better than snipes golf course. Great steak though. read more

Not even worth the one star given for this review! My brother had his wedding held there. The night of the rehearsal dinner, the coordinator was too busy with a potential client to come out of the office and do her job! Needless to say, the rehearsal never happened resulting in confusion on the day of the wedding. Really was infuriating when the staff responsible for the rehearsal blows you off at the scheduled time. Furthermore, the agreed upon arrangements of the banquet area were not met. The food menu was changed without notice. The overall ambiance of the country club is nice, the staff however, well I'll say the wedding coordinator was just completely unprofessional. I would NOT recommend having an event here. read more

I've only been here once, if that's any indication of how good the place is. My wife and I met up with some other members of my family for a nice evening meal shortly after we moved to Yardley in 2013. It was a beautiful day but the restaurant was practically deserted. My wife's food came out cold and had to be sent back. The service was poor, with us having to practically flag down a member of the wait staff to get refills on drinks. The rest of our meals were decent. Hopefully it's gotten better in the last year, but I haven't been willing to go back to find out. read more

Recently had a company holiday party at Yardley Country Club. It was so embarrassing to have our guests at the club. It seemed to be partially under construction, the look of the club was in disarray, the chef was ranting about yelling at the servers, food was horrible and disorganized, there was no event planner contact to address issues with, we never received a legitimate receipt ( all final correspondence was handwritten on a piece of paper) I still can't believe this whole experience happened this way. I would never recommend this place for any party, let alone the restaurant was empty all night long. Looks like the members even know better than to come here to eat. read more

We ate in the upstairs restaurant, called the Yardley Grille. In a word - terrible. The only good thing here was that the water was cold and the bread was warm. It started off with a visibly dirty bread plate. Then the appetizer of calamari looked like someone already took a few handfuls off the plate before it came to our table. The sauce bowl was slopped up and there were a lot 'missing' from the plate. What calamari was on the plate was in a giant lump that we had to pull apart. And it had no taste. The crab cakes were so onion/pepper tasting that there was no crab to provide a crab flavor at all. The lobster ravioli is actually cheese ravioli that they put a bit of tasteless crab into the sauce on top of the cheese ravioli. Even the kids menu was a mess. There was a word search on it. The word list contained tennis and golf words (like racquet, love, court, birdie, iron) but only the golf-related words appear in the word search puzzle itself. So a kid spends a long time looking for a word that doesn't appear in the puzzle. The steamed carrots were brown and moldy and hard. Barely cooked. The kids spaghetti sauce had a funky taste to it and the meatballs were cold. We really aren't typically complainers, but this was by far the worst meal we ever had. read more
