Dr. Lee is the best! I went in for several issues: digestion, shoulder pain, weight loss, headaches, and for my kids. The weight loss program was amazing. I lost almost 20 pounds, and 8 months later, I have maintained my target weight. The program consists of a two week herbal medicine and week-long fast, supplemented with weekly checkups, acupuncture treatments, and dietary guidance. This was my first experience with acupuncture, and I was nervous about it, but Dr. Lee was very caring, and I didn't feel a thing. She is amazingly skillful. My ten year old daughter is a gymnast, and was in physical therapy for six months for acute tendonitis before I took her to Dr. Lee. She is terrified of needles, but Dr. Lee was so soothing that she was able to do the treatment, and even asked me when the needles were going in -- AFTER they were already in! After two treatments, she stopped complaining about her tendonitis. We've gone back once since the initial treatment, and she is still fine. My twelve year old always complains of headaches and shoulder pain, and she got relief from the acupuncture treatment as well. I highly recommend Dr. Lee and her amazingly kind staff. I visited Dr Lee when my partner and I decided to try to have a baby. I was really worried I would have a hard time because I had a short luteal phase. Knowing that acupuncture has done amazing things for me before (got rid of my intense period cramps when I was 13!!), I looked up fertility acupuncture in NY and found YB Women's Clinic on Yelp. I've seen Dr Lee four or fives times. She helped me to get my body running properly again, like improving circulation to my hands/feet- which were constantly cold- and my uterus. She also suggested some Korean herbal medicine to support fertility, which I started taking. My partner noticed after two treatments that my hands and feet were not like ice blocks anymore and to my astonishment, I got pregnant the next time I ovulated! (Currently six weeks, hoping that it sticks) Dr Lee has been through this time so kind and helpful, and always there for me when I had questions. I came across YB Women's Acupuncture while searching for an acupuncturist to help with women's health/fertility issues. I have a history of irregular periods and due to the nature of my job, I have trouble falling asleep and am constantly tired. As someone new to acupuncture, I was not sure what to expect and did not anticipate seeing immediate results. I went in with an open mind for an initial consultation and met with Dr. Lee. From the very beginning, she was very attentive and caring and put me at ease as I shared my situation. Her bedside manner is wonderful and I always felt like I could talk to her comfortably. I felt this in every single interaction we had in the weeks following the initial consult. The receptionist is incredibly kind and friendly also and does a great job scheduling you in and spacing other patients with buffer time. I always felt better leaving than I did when I walked in. In a 6 week period, I saw Dr. Lee twice a week, for a total of 12 treatments. I had my period twice during the time I saw Dr. Lee and I was surprised to notice a marked improvement, in both the cramping/side effects that I experienced and also in the flow. I also noticed that I was gradually able to get better sleep for longer periods of time. Considering all the years that I've had these issues, the amount of progress I saw in a mere month and a half was a huge surprise. I am so happy I went for treatments. I was suffering from stress and being tired, I couldn't sleep, my heart was beating really hard, wasn't sure what's going on. I had a nice conversation with dr. Lee before we started the procedure. It helped her to understand my situation, as well as she explained in detail how should I carry myself going forward. I did 2 procedures in 1 week, and I'm back to normal. I'm feeling like nothing happened to me at all. I fall asleep at 11pm, have full 7 hours sleep and my heart is back to normal. I went in to treat my headaches and migraines that worsened earlier this year. Once my neurologist suggested I take aspirin each day, I decided to seek an alternative treatment before destroying my stomach lining with pharmaceuticals. I'm glad that I made this choice! The acupuncture treatment did wonders. My headaches and migraines used come and go at least 3~4 times a month, which often debilitated me. Since I went in May, I've only had a light headache 3 times. I highly recommend Dr YB Lee at YB women's acupuncture. The office is very clean and Jina at the front desk is so sweet and welcoming all the time. Dr YB Lee bedside manner is the best also and she explains very thoroughly and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable every visit. I used to go twice a week for some neck and back issues but afterwards I always felt absolutely refreshed and light as a feather. I also took her recommendation and took a month supply of Chinese herbal medicine and it balanced me and in conjunction with consistent acupuncture visits I immediately felt the benefits. Before seeing Dr. YB, I had done IUI twice, and IVF once, and it wasn't sucessful. A friend of mine recommended Dr. YB for accupuncture 3 months before next my embryo transfer. Firstly, the practice here at YB Women's Acupuncture is absolutely pristine when you walk in, it's kind of an oasis from the busy street you walk off of to enter into the building. I've been dealing with fertility issues for a few years and I've been to other acupuncturist/herbalist in the past with no success. I decided to give Dr. Lee a try as a last resort and I have to say I have not been disappointed.
