Happy Sundae Sunday, Yelp!! To properly celebrate, I went to the Yellow Brick Road Carousel after dinner. If there's one thing I love about YBR, it's the decorations. The Looney Tunes cutouts and miniature Ferris wheel sculptures are so random that they just seem so right. I feel like I'm being transported into a little kid's playroom, and, since there's ice cream, I love it! I had a "flurry", which is essentially YBR's version of a Dairy Queen Blizzard. You could only get vanilla soft serve as a flurry base, but that was fine with me because I planned to add a lot of mix-ins. I added Reese's Cups and chocolate rocks to my flurry. I ordered a small, but there was more than envy ice cream in the 12-oz cup. My sister got a cake batter milkshake, and it was outrageously sweet. It tasted like frozen buttercream icing. Besides ice cream, YBR offers ice cream cake and cupcakes, frozen dog treats, candy, and even branded t-shirts! I was tempted to test my luck with the gumball machine...if you get the "winner" gumball, you win a chance to spin the Wheel of Fortune! A similar fun opportunity to win a prize is by simply looking at the bottom of your cup once you've finished your ice cream. If there's a picture of a carousel horse at the bottom, you win a free sundae! These fun little games really add to the whimsical, youthful nature of the restaurant. Decided to try a new ice cream place and I'm so glad it was this one! Employees were super friendly, and they even have a freezer case by the door filled with dog-friendly ice cream :) I got a medium cup of the fruity pebbles ice cream which was soooooo good! I would go back just for that. My mom got a small cup of lemon bar ice cream and she also thought it was delicious. The pup gobbled up a small cup of vanilla ice cream with milk bones on top. Okay. First, two smalls and two mediums came to $25. Pretty expensive if you ask me especially when your medium looks like this and the ice cream is mediocre: Quite depressing. However, what put the cherry on top was the fact that they have no problem serving you if you don't have a mask on in line! No problem! Two folks went up and ordered -- no masks, no problem. As I write this an executive order has been signed mandating wearing masks OUTSIDE unless you're eating or drinking. Great ice cream... We buy the 9 pack of vanilla cups with rainbow sprinkles for the grandkids.. but they are usually gone by the time grandkids get here.. All of their ice cream flavors are delicious, and no matter what anyone says, the prices are in line with what's going on with shortages etc. in the food industry . It is our go-to place for ice cream always. read more

First and last time I will ever be patronizing this establishment..I searched for a place to get ice cream with my wife and daughter..with the current guidelines in place due to the covid virus our normal way of doing business has changed..I work in retail pharmacy has a mgr and realize this first hand .but I remain respectful and conduct myself with class and professionalism. My wife and daughter and I were suffering from cabin fever and just needed a break so we decided to get ice cream..we were wearing ppe #ie facemasks and gloves as we approach the table set up I look at the customer and ask are you being served as soon as I ask this woman exits the ice cream parlor and literally yells at me if you are ordering stay to the right if your waiting for your order go to the left..and rolls her eyes..the other customers look at me the one Male says wow and shook his head..I was embarrassed and angered..but rather then say something I chose to leave..this woman does not belong in customer service and has zero manners respect or class..my review may not have a long lasting effect but sorry people like the one working tonight will.. read more

Last 2 times I went there I was unimpressed with their ice cream... our ice cream looked more like slushees than ice cream! The tables were all dirty! The place wasn't busy at all (we were the only customers) so I think those working there that day could have come around to quickly wipe the tables down that clearly had ice cream stains... I love coming here the icecream is so good! I get coconut and coffee it's a fun place for the kids to go I live in silverton so we walk or ride bikes here ! Every single time that I need an ice cream cake for any occasion this is where I get it. I have been coming here for six years. After my son's 2nd birthday and we got an Elmo themed ice cream cake from YBR, I have been hooked. We used YBR for my father's 60th birthday this year and he keeps asking me when I will get him another cake. I love how they can print anything onto the cake. I have given them print outs from my computer, emails, and even one time - a napkin. As long as I keep getting these delicious and creative cakes from YBR, they have a LIFE LONG Customer in me.
