Needed to use this service to pick up my car from the shop. I called and gave the dispatcher my address and where l was going.. l also asked approx. How long before an arrival...she hesitated and just said someone would call when enroute to me....OK... So immediately l jumped in the shower, knowing l had at least 15 minutes... Well, about 10 minutes later as l was drying off, the driver stated he was at my address....l informed him l needed 5 minutes and he said ok.... I appreciated the quick service, but calling enroute means enroute, NOT having the driver call you while at your door. If the dispatcher had said he would arrive in 10 minutes or whenever, l can live with that... The only positive thing was, the cab was clean and very roomy, and the fare was ok and the same as when l needed a cab about 5 years ago to the same location. All in all, this was better than waiting an hour or more and having to call only to be told, "they are enroute" which l experienced, waiting for my car to be towed to the repair shop. Made an appointment for a wheelchair van for an appointment. Confirmed appointment a week before. Van did not show up and appointment missed. I called the company to see where the van was and was told that they had no record of my reservation. Approximately 30 minutes later, I received a call from the company saying that my cab would be late. I called back and was told that the wheelchair vans were often late and that they did have my 2:45 reservation. This was at 3:30. It is difficult enough to find transportation for wheelchairs and appointments are generally time sensitive. Thanks to missing today's appointment the next available appointment is a month away. This is unacceptable and the company should be ashamed. read more

My job requires me to travel several times each month, so I deal with many cab drivers and companies. Three trips back, I met Bilal (cab #36) and Zia (cab #56), and I can say, without hesitation, that I've never had a better cab experience. The last few times I've come to work to Woodbridge, I have used them multiple times (close to 20), to pick me up/drop me off at the airport, work site, or hotel. They have ALWAYS been on time. Twice this week I was done earlier than planned, and I thought, "wouldn't it be nice if I could leave early," and both times, they were already there waiting for me. I commented to Zia that the foliage was beautiful, and that day, when he picked me up, he took me for a drive to Leesylvania State Park and did not charge me! I cannot say enough about these two gentlemen. They are professional, courteous, prompt, and eager to serve. Several months ago, I wrote a negative review about this cab company, but that's because I hadn't met Zia or Bilal. My mother purchased a senior ride card with this vendor. When she died, there was a balance of $68.50. The company refuses to refund the money to her estate. They have an "unwritten" policy that no refunds will be issued. So, buyer beware. If you add money to the card and don't use the service your money is lost. Called the cab company for a patient of our practice. They said they would call back and let us know when a ride was ready. We waited over an hour and received no phone call. When we called back the lady on the phone screamed at us and told us she was busy and couldn't send a cab nor give us an estimated wait time. It took hours and nobody called back so our patient had to request a ride elsewhere after waiting for almost 3 hours. The lack of communication and respect for these elderly individuals who depend on this type of transportation is unacceptable. This has not been the only time Yellow Cab has let us down. My advice would be to use ANY and EVERY other mode of transportation than Yellow Cab!! read more

Okay yellow cab! I had a bad experience with a driver and usually it would just end with that bad taste in my mouth. I would eventually get over it because I would be in a situation where I needed to call a cab. However this time was different. I simply called in and asked for another cab driver after one had no so good customer service. The manager called me a apologized for this inconvenience. This was one MAJOR step for the company as a whole and it did not go unnoticed. Wish I'd read these reviews before subjecting myself and a family member to their services. Long story what we went through on a total of four separate fares, but the short of it is, they don't really want or care for your business. I gave them the chance to respond to private communication and the owner gave out my email and contact info by cc'ing multiple other people outside her company without my permission. Her response to my concerns was contradictory and only served to confirm my feelings about their driver inconsistency. In a pinch or an emergency I'll call them again, but only under those circumstances. Right now I'm off to schedule four fares for this week with a competitor taxi service who does have good reviews. I encourage anyone reading to do some more research before calling a cab in Prince William County. read more

If you want bad customer service then this is the place. Your not even allowed to order your cab twenty minutes before hand. Which according to them is not ridiculous. So if you want to go someplace that doesn't let you call ahead for your cab then this is the place for you. read more

DO NOT USE. THEY ARE FRAUDS. Used their services on May 6 from Dumfries to Dulles. My fare was $87. Gave the driver a cash tip. He arrived on time and was courteous. Just received my statement and they charged me $105.84. Called them and was redirected to another department. The phone rang and rang and was finally disconnected. I called a cab (Prince William County) on two separate occasions to travel within the county during this inclement weather. On both occasions, the cab drivers arrived on time, were cordial and had professional demeanor. However, the male operator and call receiver who reserved the cab was rude, condescending and impatient. Sir, if you're reading this, please understand that you're not doing me/us (customers) a favor and neither are we seeking some free favor from you. Whatever workplace frustration it is that you have, please do not project it on other well meaning customers like me. I should be able to call you guys without the fear of some angry dude hollering at the other end. I am currently on unemployment and applied for a position as a driver. I went in on a Tuesday and dropped off my Virginia DMV Driving record and was told to call back on Friday. I called back on Friday and was told to call back Tuesday. I tried again to contact the person I had talked to and was asked "What part of call back Tuesday don't you understand?" I called back Tuesday and was told to call back Wednesday. When I finally got hold of the person in charge of hiring, I was told that I was an insurance risk. Obviously, they would rather see me on unemployment than hire someone who wants to work. I found them to be rude and uncaring. It's a wonder they are still in business. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy, I am taking my business to Manassas cab, at least they are more up front and honest and are customer service oriented read more

I would post zero stars if I could. Worst experience ever. Customer service is horrible. Systems are down, I can understand that; but to slowly drive in circles as if you don't know we're you're going? No I don't understand that. Cab driver told me to use gps on my phone and drove really slow to let the meter run when I told him which way to go. I was only going 2.1 miles, 5 minutes away and he turned that into a nightmare. To top it off when I paid with a $20 he said he didn't have all of the change so he guess he's getting a tip. Just rude and obnoxious. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. read more

I never seem to have problems with the female dispatchers, however, whenever any one of the males picks up the phone, they are extremely rude, uncaring and seem to be upset with their job. The individuals that work for that company are a reflection of the business. If this is the case, I would give Yellow Cab of the Woodbridge area negative stars. I work for a company that needs to transport injured people to their doctor's appts, so promptness is appreciated. There have been numerous occasions when people have been waiting for more than an hour for a cab that has been previously scheduled sometimes days in advance. If you are paying for a service, especially a service that you use on many occasions, you would expect prompt service, or at the very least, an employee that is not incredibly rude. This was my first experience in a taxi, and it was horrible. My first choice was to get an Uber, but I had plenty of cash and no credit card. It took over an hour for them to find me an available taxi because they said my address was invalid. So, after repeating the same address to a couple different people, they found my location. My driver called me to let me know that he'd arrive within 10 minutes. So, as the time approached, I went outside and waited so I'd be ready when he pulled up. After 20 minutes of waiting for the cab after his initial call, I got another call asking where I was. I replied that I was in the cul de saq. "You're where?" "I'm in the circle." After going back and forth with him for a few minutes about where I was(where he claimed to be waiting), I find out the he's parked a couple streets down the road. I got to my destination, and the total was about $15 for a 7 minute drive. Definitely pricey to me, but since it's my first time, maybe this is how it is. He even tried to tell me that if i tipped him more now that he might do drive me for free later. How would I even be certain that I'd get him as a driver again? Either way, I wasn't falling for it. I call the company again a few hours later because I need a ride home. Turns out the same driver is the only taxi around. They say he'll arrive within 10-15 minutes. So, I wait. An hour passes by before I call back & they tell me they're trying to figure out where he is because he isn't responding. They say if I don't receive a text in the next 10minutes to call back. Of course I had to call back and the woman on the other side said he'd arrive within 15 minutes. I let 20 minutes go by before I call back & as the person I'm speaking to is about contact him, I get the message that my taxi has arrived. I reply to let them know I'm coming out, and as I'm walking out, I see that driver slowly pulling off as if I hadn't wasted hours on just trying to get him to me. He would drive 5 feet, stop, drive 5 feet, and stop. He got me where I needed to be fast, and this time it was $4 less. I also heard "travel start" when I got in, which I did not hear the first time, interesting. When getting out I asked him if he had change for a $20. He started to say no, then asked me how much. The cost was $10.70, and after having my time wasted and feeling like I wasn't the driver's first priority, I wanted $9 back. After watching him count out $8 three times in 2 minutes, he said "that's 8 right?" I said "yes but I want $9 back." At this, he pointed to the cost and said that's almost $11 though. To me, he clearly did not want to leave without even a slight tip, as well as did not know how to count. So, after having so much of my time wasted between 11pm and 3am, I decided to say fuck it, and settled for $9. Mind you I stopped him a street early cuz I didn't want to pay more to ride in the cab longer with him. My experience was horrible and I wanted to let the people know about it. I would've given a single or even zero stars, but he did transport me fast. Like really fast. But still, it was horrible. Car 513 is the taxi I got.
