Upon arriving 30 minutes early for my reservation, the manager on duty became visibly irritated. He was unprofessional and confrontational throughout the rental process. I observed him informing another customer--a Caucasian military member--that he could not rent a vehicle without providing two phone numbers, a requirement I have never seen listed in Enterprise's official policies. After significant difficulty, including my husband needing to intervene on my behalf, I eventually received the basic economy vehicle I had reserved--well after my original pickup time. The manager's demeanor was consistently rude and dismissive. When I returned the vehicle two days early and politely asked for an approximate timeline on when any toll charges might post, he instructed a staff member to tell me he had "no idea" and that I should call the 800-number. His employee appeared visibly embarrassed by the interaction. I remained courteous and professional at all times. This experience fell well below the standards I have come to expect from Enterprise. I hope management will investigate this location and the conduct of the manager involved.

To have me "check-in" for a non-existent vehicle is a blatant lack of respect for their customer's time. They turned a planned vacation into a giant headache. They always explain everything in great detail to give you all of your options. Do the once over for any signs or damages prior to you leaving the lot and email you copies of everything almost immediately. The agent called me to try, explained to me that there were two forms of the survey for customer service and something else. He stated that he thought we had an understanding to give them a good rating for customer service, but the vehicle was a hot mess and was completely filthy. He just called me to complain that he was not happy about the survey that I gave him and hung the phone up on me. He messed up the customer service part by hanging the phone up in my face. When delivering a rental car to a client the best thing you do is make sure the car is clean, and the customer does not have to put windshield wiper fluid in themselves. Evidently the Hertz location that used to be at the Hyundai/Genesis dealership at the corner of…read moreRoute 1 and Opitz Boulevard has MOVED, as of a YEAR AGO, to a small desk located in the drab corner of a PEP BOYS auto supply store on Wigglesworth Way, about a mile up the road. You will find no sign indicating that there is a Hertz car rental location there, except for a 8 1/2 by 11 inch piece of paper stuck to the window. I had reserved a car online (Hertz will charge 5% more if you want to do it with someone over the phone) and the system had accepted my reservation for pick up the same day. So I went there and was told that I would have about a two-hour wait as they were waiting on cars to be brought from another location. Ok, fine, a bit of a wait. But then, after I asked if he was sure a vehicle would be ready around then, he backtracked and said it could even by later in afternoon. In other words, I might have to sit around all day in a Pep Boys store as there wasn't much in the area to go to except a Wendy's across the street. Then the manager came by and said that THERE WEREN'T GOING TO BE ANY CARS AVAILABLE THAT DAY. So, why had their system accepted my reservation then? I had taken an Uber to get to their location and now was going to have to find another car rental as Hertz had me come to their location with actually no car available. But as I'm calling to arrange another car rental, a few customers come in and it seems they had vehicles for them (or they were turning in ones). All I can say is that it's pretty evident that this is a pretty lousy-run business that has had to downgrade to a small desk in the corner of auto supply store and hasn't managed to put a sign outside for over a year.
