Amazing trails, hiking, bring your own kayak or boat, great wildlife. There is a small fee for the day I believe it's $5.00 it's alcohol free park and there's always plenty of Park Rangers there that are very nice and very helpful.

Bridge at the front entrance has an ever so slight incline, but aside from that it really would register as low impact as you could imagine. With the water surrounding the path there are some great opportunities to catch some pretty spectacular sunsets (I would guess sunrises, but that's a little too early for my liking). You can find people fishing, jogging, waling their dogs, teens hanging out. Attracts a wide variety of people. Also, not a bad place to walk out and grab a park bench and enjoy an ice cream with that someone special. As for the wildlife side of things, we haven't really encountered anything other than a butterfly or two and some birds. At dusk watch out for the mosquitoes, they can be a little annoying. Otherwise a good spot to take a walk.

My friend and I were looking forward to a trip on Terrapin Creek this weekend. I made a call to a…read morelocal company to see about put-in and take-out. Once we arrived it was quite busy so we pulled in for directions on what we needed to do. The first person I saw to ask was sitting on the porch rocking. (The owner) I told her we had never been there before and asked what we needed to do. Without batting an eye she conveyed they were full and unless I had a reservation there was nothing for me. I said, well I called someone and asked if I needed a reservation....she interrupted " WELL, YOU DIDN'T TALK TO ME!" She was clearly irritated I was even asking her a question. Apparently there was another company next door, but I would've gladly used her company if available. Someone needs to teach the owner what customer service looks like because she has no clue! I'll not be patronizing her EVER and I'll be sure and tell all my yak friends to go next door when enjoying the Terrapin.
