What is a soundbath?…read moreI asked myself the same question since it was my first time..it's basically a healing and meditative practice where people lie down on yoga mats and listen to sounds coming from various sized "singing bowls". Using a wand of some kind they lightly touch the bowls in circular motion to get a soothing ringing noise. I was skeptical but it was truly relaxing. Each person received a few minutes of light touches on their shoulders (pressure points) to support the soundbath experience. They also have other services on site like acupuncture, massage, reflexology, yoga, Tai chi and other healing sessions. I didn't catch when but once or twice a month they have a sort of open house where they have a bazaar and representatives from all the classes providing a promotion on-site of their services for $25.
