We ended up waiting over an hour for a main meals and we were one of the first tables seated for the night. All of our protein dishes: pork, branzino, and steaks clearly were sitting out for a while and cooked horribly - they were all cold!! Our friend who ordered the Steak spoke up as the steak was $65 asking for it to be warmed. They took it back to kitchen and it came back the same way!!! So he kindly asked to remove it from menu. The manager came over eventually and said there was nothing he could do, didn't offer him another plate... nothing. To top it all off - they tried to overcharge us! They tried to round up the 2 orders of pork chops to $80 when it should have been $76. Very rarely do I leave a restaurant thinking, "This is exactly why so many people prefer eating at home." Yesterday was one of those times. The experience left me seriously questioning why I'd bother going out to eat when I can save money and enjoy a much more pleasant, delicious meal at home.

Everything we needed was provided, making our stay very relaxing and convenient. We also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the ranch. Dinner was excellent, and our favorites were the creamy mac and cheese and the delicious huckleberry beer. The complimentary breakfast buffet was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations. No corners were cut on the offerings--there was a great variety of fresh, high-quality food, making it one of the best included breakfasts we've had while traveling. There were so many activities available that we wish we had more time to enjoy. The fly-fishing lessons and horseback riding looked fantastic, and we'd love to come back and experience both on a future visit. Overall, 320 Guest Ranch exceeded our expectations. Housekeeping came daily to refresh the room with clean towels and replaced water bottles in the mini fridge. The room also had a coffee maker, microwave, fans, space heaters, and comfy robes. The complimentary breakfast buffet was the perfect start to our long ski days. Each day they had fresh breakfast options including French toast, eggs, meats, and yogurt. The staff was extremely attentive to guests needs, going above and beyond for any requests. Jared brought us a bag of ice to make our own iced coffees to take on the road. I believe it was Abbie who checked us in and offered clear instructions and guidance. The hot tub offered beautiful views, a large fireplace, and was open until 10pm each night. Location was slightly "out of town" but only 20 min to Big Sky Resort parking lot at the base of the mountain. Would highly recommend & can't wait to book a future stay!!

Perhaps the bar was backed up, so when I placed my order for a beer, I expected it might be a moment. Unfortunately I didn't expect it to require 25 minutes of patience, while onlooking new arriving customers whom were receiving their bar beverages within reasonable waits. I politely asked our server how that beer was coming and he replied that he'd check. Several more minutes past and he returned with an apology and promise that it was coming soon. Mind you, the beer I ordered was in a can. More time passed and I asked the server if I need to go to the bar myself and talk to the bartender and he insisted that it wasn't necessary. I waited a few moments and witnessed lots of discussion but not beer being procured. I then walked up to the bar and relayed the situation to the bartender who then handed me a beer different than the one I had just requested directly to his face. Tossed it to me and then asked if I wanted it in a glass. Over the rest of the meal, I was given 3 weird, long, unaccountable apologies. The cost of the beer was left on the bill. Me and a group of 3 stayed in Big Sky in the Moonlight community. We made a reservation at the…read moreresturant (Moonlight Tabern) on Resi, which was confirmed so we showed up at our allotted time of 7:00pm. The staff said our reservation was canceled, which was never communicated to us, and we had no transportation to get anywhere else in the -10° weather. The manager kept repeating herself about saying it was members only (although that wasn't said on Resi), and tried to say there was a shuttle running into town, but there isn't after 5:35. There were 3-5 tables taken and plenty of tables open to seat anyone, and they wouldn't accommodate us with carry out or any food, and asked us to leave after saying that without being empathetic to any degree. How can you stay at a community and not be able to eat at the lodge? Also, they didn't allow credit cards? How is that acceptable in today's age?

If you are looking for an active nightlife, you are probably better served staying in Big Sky village. If you are looking for great skiing, buy an all mountain pass and explore. The Headwaters area is great.
