If you enjoy bland luke warm food, over the top prices and a management team that has no idea how to accommodate customers then this place is for you! But for all normal yelpers I would recommend avoiding this place especially if you are here on vacation. We are here for a family vacation and were excited to come to block 3 for our first dinner night. I'm always a little skeptical about hotel restaurants as they are either great or really bad. Let's just say we all left here very disappointed The only good thing about the food was the appetizer truffle fries we ordered. We ended up waiting over an hour for a main meals and we were one of the first tables seated for the night. All of our protein dishes: pork, branzino, and steaks clearly were sitting out for a while and cooked horribly - they were all cold!! Our friend who ordered the Steak spoke up as the steak was $65 asking for it to be warmed. They took it back to kitchen and it came back the same way!!! So he kindly asked to remove it from menu. The manager came over eventually and said there was nothing he could do, didn't offer him another plate... nothing. To top it all off - they tried to overcharge us! They tried to round up the 2 orders of pork chops to $80 when it should have been $76. Very rarely do I leave a restaurant thinking, "This is exactly why so many people prefer eating at home." Yesterday was one of those times. The experience left me seriously questioning why I'd bother going out to eat when I can save money and enjoy a much more pleasant, delicious meal at home. read more

Came here expecting more of a higher-end steakhouse experience, but it definitely felt more on the casual side. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different than what we anticipated. Service was a bit off throughout the night. We asked for a wine to be decanted and it didn't seem like the staff was familiar with that, which was surprising. Drinks also took quite a while to come out so much so that we placed another round when ordering just to avoid the wait. Interestingly, the food came out before the drinks. The food itself was just okay nothing that really stood out. Toward the end of the meal, we felt a bit rushed, almost like they were trying to wrap up early, even though we weren't there past closing time. We have been visiting this restaurant location for years but has changed hands multiple times ! We were initially a fan favorite due to their bison meatloaf which is unfortunately not on the menu anymore but you can still get a bison! Our recent visit in April 2025, provided a renewed experience with great service that pinpointed us to the items that are solid on the menu! We had the beet salad which was excellent due to its freshness. We also had the short ribs that came with mash potatoes and Brussel sprouts. The dish overall was great. The short ribs were tender. The side vegetables were good. We just wish for more Brussels sprouts. Plus a little less salt would have made it a perfect dish! I had an amazing meal here! The lobster chowder was rich, creamy, and full of flavor -- every spoonful had chunks of tender lobster. The Parmesan fries were perfectly crisp with just the right amount of garlic and cheese (honestly addictive). Dined with a group last night. There was 9 of us and the sat us in a private room, which was fine, but there was live entertainment out in the dining room that we missed out on which was kind of a bummer. We asked to sit out there but they said there was no room. We were still excited to be there and have a nice dinner. The food was yummy. The service basically ruined our evening. Scott, our server seemed annoyed from the moment we sat down. Didn't have any nice recommendations and every time we asked about a dish he was less than thrilled. He would walk into our room and almost then walk out before we could order another drink or food. We dine out regularly and we were super bummed about the service at this establishment. We come to big sky every year, and unfortunately this restaurant will not be on our list next year. read more

Block 3 is sexy!!!! The restaurant is located inside of the Wilson hotel in town center. The location is ideal especially for dinners heading into a night out. Popular for vacationers and locals this place consistently serves delicious food and impeccable service. AGM Colin is attentive and passionate. Our server Gabbie was astute and spot on with her recommendations. My friends and I came here for cocktails and dinner and we ate like kings. For cocktails we had the vest chic se freak which was delicious and refreshing! The you autumn know was warm and pretty, and the Caribbean queen was something straight out of a tropical vacation. The duck confit is absolutely outstanding! The flavors were fresh and the goat cheese in the salad added a great creamy element. The charcuterie board was beautiful and so delicious. The fondue was the only thing I wasn't crazy about. The cheese lacked a little luster compared to the other starters. Our entrees were so flavorful and perfectly portioned! The chicken pared with the garlic herb butter is a must! Desert certainly did not disappoint! We ordered everything because why not! I highly recommend the pear crumble and cheesecake. The ambiance and live entertainment were nice, but our food prep was suboptimal. Our medium-well filet came very undercooked and had to return to the kitchen. The filet was back for a long time such that the other meal was finished yet on return it was still pink. The potatoes were also undercooked. We had an early reservation. When we arrived, one side of the restaurant's bench seating was completely empty. We requested to sit side-by-side which would place us at one of the 2 four person tables. Our request was denied; however, a few minutes later a parent child combo that appeared to have just walked in was placed at the four person table we had requested right beside us by the very same hostess that denied our request. We finished our meal at a too small two person bench seat table too close to the adjoining tables where we could hear their entire conversation and did not feel that we could talk privately. This was a very disappointing meal for our vacation and certainly not what we expect for this price range. read more

A total gem in Big Sky! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the service was top notch. We came here at the recommendation of our shuttle driver because we wanted to get some delicious food that this unique to Montana. For starters, we kicked off our meal with your trio of game tartare, which had bison, elk and venison, and beef tartare on a pink salt block. Each bite was delicious and went well with the dollops of garlic aioli and argula pesto. Our server came by while we were feasting, and before we could say anything, she read my minds and asked if we wanted more croutons. Of course! For entrees, we went with the braised tomahawk short rib and the crispy skin steelhead trout. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and absolutely phenomenal. The short rib was accompanied by whipped potatoes and roasted root vegetables, and the trout came with spelt risotto and arugula fennel salad. The asparagus side was terrible, extremely thick and way overcooked to the point of being soggy. The place was empty and remained empty other than 3 other parties yet the staff gave us a bit of a hard time for not having a reservation; really?? 75% of your restaurant is entirely empty; be thrilled you have guests dining with you rather than us putting you out. It was a Monday night at 6p if you don't have diners by then you should be welcoming them with open arms! Once we were seated our waiter was good so made up for the initial interaction. The French onion soup is absolutely delicious. The broth is complex and flavorful. The fries are not notch, double crusted, crunchy and perfectly seasoned. The bison ribeye was expertly grilled, well seasoned and presented on a wooden tray with a half a clove of roasted garlic. I had a Wagyu Burger which was delish! Honestly, we didn't expect much as we thought. It would be just another hotel restaurant with mediocre food. We were so blown away. This place is extraordinary and the kitchen staff knows what they are doing! A lot of pride and love goes into the food here. Other things to note are: They put a lot of thought into their menu, the restaurant is beautiful and has a good vibe when you walk in. Our waiter, Kerry, was knowledgeable and professional. We came here on a Saturday night. The place was not crowded at all. Service was slow. $65/$75 steaks not cooked properly. But worse was that the steaks were not good: we all agreed they had no flavor. I've had many, many better steaks at home from the grocery store. This is in the space formerly occupied by Copper but feels a bit fancier. Nice place. I had chicken dish and it was very good but tepid like it sat a little too long after being prepared. Steaks were good. Everything a la carte like a high-end steakhouse. Wine list a little thin but I expect that will improve over time. Great service overall. Nice bar. Great cocktails.
