It was exciting to be a part of this event. Big thanks! We've been to Stack Burger twice before and enjoyed the experience both times. The Yelp perk was very generous. A burger, small fries and a milkshake was offered. How fun is that?! My choice of pistachio milkshake came first to the table. We couldn't resist and finished it before even thinking it was supposed to be a dessert. It was delicious - the best part of our meal. My Yelper Burger was topped with Stuck Sauce, cheese, and egg. Homemade salsa verde came on the side. It was good only because I like eggs in general. I should have added some salt, but the salsa spiced everything a little. I'm not sure what was wrong with the fries. It tasted like my home kitchen fiasco when I tried to make a healthier version using an air fryer. Unfortunately, the fries were dry and shriveled without much flavor. The whole experience would have been much nicer, if my partner's order wasn't screwed up. Also, his favorite burger was a lame version of what he got twice before -- a big disappointment. I didn't see the owner at the time of our visit. Something has definitely changed for the worse since our first visit. It's a very casual place and the main focus should be on the food and its quality. Come on Stack Burger! Stopped in earlier this week, for the YELP Elite Stack Burger perk with fellow yelpers Linda& Frank. Our small dine in table was joined by other fellow yelpers: Tara and her family, Sam S, Hadi N and Nikki G who picked up a to go order. Anthony, I believe one of the owners took care of us who was friendly made us all feel welcome, explained are available choices and more about the restaurant and how the Demon burger won at Taste of Buffalo. My choice was the Salsa Verdae burger which was unique with ingredients and flavor. My small chocolate milkshake was creamy, not to thick. The fries were average, little cold, and too spicy for my taste. Came here with my son for the first time, to have lunch, partially "on Yelp". I received a small shake, fries and a "Yelp Verde Burger". I let my son have my shake. I ordered a Grilled chicken sandwich for there & brought home my burger. It was Delicious !! The egg on top the burger was so good. I'm picky about fries, but I thought theirs were very good. Lots of inventive and WNYcentric creations here. They were so welcoming & offered a burger, fries and milkshake at no charge! I happened to get to Stack Burger at the perfect time yesterday to participate in this fun Yelp Elite event. Perfectly between lunch and dinner, I was able to browse the menu, ask questions, and take my time. Anthony was friendly and patient. I ordered a bunless Yelper burger (created especially for this event) with Stack Sauce (their version of Thousand Island) and Salsa Verde - which I learned isn't a menu staple (but I kinda begged for them to add it permanently). It has huge chunks of garlic in it and was so delicious on my burger, I dreamed about it last night! The *small* chocolate shake had my eyes wide with surprise. It was really big, with whipped cream on top! I removed one star because I was disappointed that the French fries are fried in the same oil as their deep-fried PBJ and one of my children was unable to eat the fries due to a severe peanut allergy. We stopped in for the Yelp Elite event on a dreary Thursday at lunch time. First of all, I loved the chocolate milkshake. The whipped cream was a nice touch. The burger meat and special sauce were also very good. The gluten free roll was pretty good too. Brisket poutine was delicious, as was the fried PPJ. The small bowl of grape whipped cream on the side of the PPJ was super yummy. Poor Anthony was a one man show this day because his server, MOM, had called off. This was my first time visiting Stack Burger and I was not disappointed! We were greeted and served by the owner, Anthony. Super cool guy who gave us some history on his business and told us about all of the things they make in house. From the Yelp Elite menu, I chose the Yelper burger. I'm not a fan of raw egg yolk, so I asked for a fried egg instead. I'm usually kind of picky about my burger toppings and this one seemed kind of suspect with salsa verde, but I rolled with it and got the rest of the burger exactly how it was served. It was delicious! The fries were tasty and well cooked. The star of the meal though might have been the pistachio milkshake. I am already thinking about going back for another one. Food - 4 Service - 4 Price - 5 Atmosphere - 4 Burger making 101 - you must have a taste patty and a good patty to bun ratio. The patty must be the size of the bun or larger. Stack Burger has burger-making down pat. We got the Yelper Burger and The Bacon Blue Burger - Crumbled blue cheese, thick-cut bacon, and creamy blue cheese spread. We also got the sweet potato fries, garlic parmesan hand-cut fries, onion rings, and a regular PB&J for your little Yelper. Our burgers were cooked to perfection, and the buns were freaking delicious. I would return and get the same thing. The Yelper Burger came with an impeccably done sunny-side-up egg that ran perfectly when squeezed between the buns. It also had salsa Verde that had the littlest kick to it and of course, cheese. We added sautéed onions to it. Salsa Verde on a burger is a nice flavor addition if you have never had it. The onion rings were extra crispy and a very large portion. The only change needed is some extra seasoning in the breading. It seemed as if it was just plain breading. The fries were good and they nailed the topping for both the sweet potato and garlic parmesan version. They graciously made the PB&J for our little Yelper, even though it wasn't on the menu, can't beat that kind of service. I ordered the demon burger. It was good. It is a spicy burger with jalapeños and banana peppers with a garlic cream base for the bun and cheese. I'm not sure what type of white cheese it was on the burger but it worked, I also asked for lettuce and tomato on my burger. The burger was good. I would order it again. I'm not sure what type of bun that was but I enjoyed the bread. Fries and a milkshake was offered as sides. I was not a fan of the fries but the milkshake was nicely made. I had a vanilla shake with a very healthy amount of whipped cream. I'm not really a whipped cream kind of a girl but it was fine. I just drank what was underneath it. I ordered a side of onion rings. They were very welled made. They were big and thick. I thought they would have had a bit more flavor but I just put ketchup on them. I think I figured out who Kellis has been getting all those milkshakes from. I may not be a boy, and this may not be a yard, but this is a song worthy shake. Or at least a review. It's a Saturday afternoon, and we walk into an empty room to be greeted by Anthony (unless his shirt is lying about his name) standing at the counter, performing what seems like a one man show. He's loud, in a friendly way, and directs us to a duct taped booth. He gave us a menu for the Yelp specials, offering free range of the milkshake flavors, which he said don't mention it to, but we didn't pinky promise, so lemme just brag about this Kellis mocking milkshake. We went for his own creation, black raspberry. The velvety soft whipped cream was starting to droop as he rushed to get a second straw for our glass, because it's a proper date. Ribbons of syrup could be seen, and thoroughly tasted throughout the milk heavy shake. I could actually slurp it through the straw without clogging, straight into my eager mouth hole. "I'm granting you the last slurp only if you make awkward noises with it," I told my mate as he took the last creamy dreg. We upgraded to garlic parm fries. Skins on, because it's real hunks of tater, and salted like someone who knows my taste buds, aka, liberal. The garlic is understated, for the better. He brought out our sandwiches. My mate took the yelper burger, as I'm not a fan of the veghead option of beyond meat, cooked to medium. He said it was the best burger he's had since childhood. Well, first he said "By golly oh mighty whoo wee." Then big boy words for a big boy portion. The egg ran, soft, and the sauce he said he didn't even know, starstruck. Guess you'll have to come find out. Me, I asked for the grilled cheese, American, and accidentally got served pizza. This was a very nice surprise Elite event. We were offered one of three burgers, an order of fries and a (smaller than regular) milkshake or soda pop. I picked the Yelp Single Stack burger. It is a quarter pound burger with chopped Romaine lettuce, cheese, a tomato slice, and Stack sauce. We could not find out the components of the sauce as our waitress said it is her son who knows and he was not there. The sauce is very nice. I think I spotted chopped onions and , maybe, green bell peppers, in it. I would have preferred a whole leaf or two of Romaine as the chopped lettuce pieces kept falling out of my sandwich. I also thought the roll, while very good, was too big for my burger. I took some of the roll off. My burger was a lot sloppier, but still quite tasty. The French fry side appeared to be a full order. It was very generous. The fries are very good. Then there was the milkshake. I ordered a chocolate shake. It's been quite some time since I had any milkshake and even longer since I had one made from scratch. It makes a difference. It was thick and very chocolatey, with a whipped cream topping! Stack Burger is a little hidden burger gem in south Buffalo. We were told to sit anywhere and after we introduced ourselves as Yelpers got the special Yelp elite menu. 3 burger choices (!), fries and 4 flavors for the milkshakes. The demon burger sounded intriguing to me, with cheese, banana peppers and jalapeños. The very friendly waitress assured me it had a nice kick to it. She was right; it really had heat. The fries were okay, I would have preferred them to be a little crispier. The milk shake was great, packed a lot of chocolate flavor and had a nice amount of whipped cream on top. Burgers are clearly their thing as you can tell by the name, but they are so much more than just burgers! They were very organized for this Yelp Elite Week event... they had a check list and the staff knew exactly what the options were for ordering. I chose the Demon Burger to go along with my fries and I opted for a pb&j shake to wash it all down. With a name like Demon Burger, I knew it had to be hot! It was topped with jalapenos AND banana peppers with a cajun type sauce underneath it... it had my taste buds enthralled and my nose a little runny by the end of it. If you love flavorful, spicy foods, I would highly recommend it. The bun was a good quality, but a bit big for just one patty, I would opt for a double stack next time for a better meat to bread ratio. The fries were okay... I would get them again, but not my favorite. The shake was good too, but I would've liked to be able to taste more peanut butter in it. My one friend got a brisket, which she loved and my other friend got the hot dog garbage plate (her first ever garbage plate) and she thoroughly enjoyed that. Whilst they were eating their meals, they were already talking about what they were going to get next time we visit! The bathrooms were clean and smelled fresh. I've only ever had take out until today. Today we dined in on the back patio. It was a beautiful fall day for it. This Elite Deal was very generous and filling. I went with the Yelper and added bacon. The bacon was a $3 up charge, which is nothing when the rest of the meal is free obviously. I will not be adding bacon in the future however, because it wouldn't be worth it to me. It's just nothing special. I sampled the salsa that was served on the side and used it for a few bites of my burger. It had a nice flavor and spice, but I didn't want the burger to get too sloppy by adding it to the whole burger. The egg was served runny enough to have a few drips, but nothing too messy. The fries were delicious and perfectly seasoned. I had water while eating and then drank the small chocolate shake. Everything was delicious and I left completely full. To quote our server we crushed it. LOL Our server was amazing even though he got super busy with more Yelpers inside. He was making all the shakes AND waiting tables. I stopped here yesterday afternoon to get some takeout. (My free burger, fries, and shake from Stack Burger.) Thanks Alex (former CM) and Emily L (current CM) for choosing me to receive this perk. I had the choice of a regular stack burger, a demon burger or the salsa verde burger, which was only being offered to Yelp Elite members. I read up the menu and chose the regular stack burger. (I didn't want an egg on my burger and I assumed the demon burger was hot, so I didn't go that route.) The burger was a good size and it was a huge amount of fries. The fries weren't super hot or crispy/dark. Also, a Yelp Elite friend got to choose whatever shake she wanted for her free shake, when she came to the restaurant earlier in the week. I was told only strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, or pistachio so I got a strawberry shake for my boyfriend and because I really wanted to try the pumpkin shake myself, I ordered that as an add on. I ordered him a french onion burger as an add on too. He really enjoyed that and the free strawberry shake. His burger and my pumpkin shake were $17.39!!! I had great service and conversation with Tony. (He is the owner.) My pumpkin shake was huge. Much larger than my boyfriend's free strawberry shake. It was good, as was my free stack burger. Also, this place has cool decor on the walls, such as wrestling photos and memorabilia. There is a big wall-length mirror with the words Stack It Up on it. I wouldn't mind returning to this establishment, since it's so close to my apartment, to try other things on the menu and sit-down service. I hope they have a smaller sized shake!!! read more

I got my burger to go, so I can't review the dining experience. I will say that the staff were friendly and my food was cooked pretty quickly. I got the demon burger and if you like heat, this ones for you. I also like that it wasn't a beef patty, which usually ends up being quite flavorless. The burger was seasoned well and I could taste it even with the heat from the peppers. I will say that the meat to bun ratio was a bit low. I wasn't a fan of the fries, but I will keep this place in mind when I want a burger in the future. read more

I was super excited to see one of my favorite local businesses come up for a yelp elite week especially since I've been coming here for so long! They make some very tasty burgers and tonight was no exception! I tried the salsa Verde burger with hot fries and a strawberry shake and all was delish. The hot fries came with that Bleu cheesecake sauce stuff which is always good and the salsa on the burger was a nice flavor too. Staff were very friendly as always and I enjoyed talking with them when I came by to get my food. I was happy to see the dining room was very full with others waiting for to go orders. Small place but mighty burgers! We were stuffed!!I got the 1/4 stack burger which I could hardly finish- the stack sauce was very tasty! Great fries and awesome chocolate milkshake yum!!! Stopped at Stack Burger yesterday for the yelp elite week special. This is an unassuming, standalone restaurant much further down Abbott then I usually go. The one thing about Yelp, I really enjoy how it gets you to places you would probably never go to. Not a very fancy place with more of a rock 'n' roll feel and I enjoyed the album and rock photos on the wall. As part of the deal I ordered a salsa Verde burger. The young man who waited on us was very nice and polite. He seem to be enjoying his job and genuinely wanted to make our experience pleasant. The burger was delicious on a nice toasted roll and I loved the fact that the fried egg on top was not overcooked and the yolk was nice and runny. The small soufflé cup of salsa Verde was excellent and included some nice big chunks of garlic. It left me wanting more. The small pistachio shake was quite thick and tasty. I also had a cup of coffee which was a nice hot cup of a Keurig blend. Cindy had a single burger which was done to her liking and very good. The shared fries were hot crisp and tasty. The experience made me leave wanting to come back and try some of their other items or maybe just another juicy Burger. Thank you stack burger.
