I can't believe I've been missing out on this place this whole time!! Perfect huge steamers, mussels that I actually loved (and I'm usually not usually a mussel fan), and casino clams with so much flavor! Dan took over the business last year, and he makes his own hot sauce - that sauce alone made me want to buy it and put it on everything. I can't wait to get back to Steve's Clam Bar and I hope his expansion plans come true soon!! I will be a regular! For how find them behind the Expo Market on Hertel, you can just walk in and ask for the menu.

I'm not a huge seafood person (at least not clams and things like that), but I enjoyed this yelp elite event. I had to wait for the owner to arrive as they were running late to open, but once he did ordering was easy. Steve brought everything rght to my table, along with various sauces including his homemade hot sauce.

Just walk in Bocce pizza and ask for Steve's menu. He has a little shack behind the building where he does the cooking. Steve came over and told me a little bit about living in the neighborhood for years, about making his own hot sauce (excellent by the way) and his pickled peppers he is experimenting with. He then disappeared to prepare my food. Not much later he showed up with a wonderful plate with 3 casinos, 3 steamed clams and 3 mussels, plus 2 half ears of corn. Also on the plate a small container with melted garlic butter. He told me he simmers it for a long time instead of just melting the butter. It gave it a nice somewhat nutty flavor. The mussels were just wonderful, big and very tasty. The clams were steamed and I used some of his hot sauce on them; an excellent combination. The casinos were very tasty too. Because I like spicy, he added a little cajun to the breading. Wow, great taste and a little after burner. The corn was nice esp. with the melted butter! He closes at the end of September for the winter but will be back next year.

It's a very generous portions and assortment. Unfortunately the clam a bit overcooked and chewy. But overall it's a decent meal, a good hot sauce. Steve very nice and friendly. Telling us about his visions. I hope it come to fruition. I would have give more stars but the clam issue a bit hard to over looked. Also when we get there it was confusing, we don't see any sign or anything other than the shack in the back in which I'm not sure if that's where we going. Then I looked a review and see that we supposed to asked for menu at the pizza place but then when I did, the guy told me to go outside. So I went and someone told me to just sit and he'll come by. I almost leave. I would give Steve another chance as I like seafood and he's very nice guy and has passion.

Amazing event where I got to try a local seafood place around Buffalo. Daniel, the owner of the bar, was friendly and manage to explain the menu. Learned that they are only open during summer, however they are planning to open a new location where he can serve other dishes also all year long. I got to try the clams, casinos and mussels. They were really tasty and fresh. I loved the casinos so ordered half dozen of the Cajun casinos which were also tasty and spicy. Overall, amazing event to get to try different seafood around Buffalo.

When you get there, it's kind of confusing... We saw the clam bar shack that was shown in the picture (which is out behind a building), so we went there thinking that is where you ordered. We stood there for a while and looked at a menu. Then the cook realized we were standing there and said if we wanted to order, we just go inside. We saw a door and went it. When we got in we saw a bar and Bocce pizza... nothing that said Steve's Clam Bar. Then we went up to the bar and saw menus for Steve's and started to order to which the bartender told us he did not take orders, he was a different business and just did drinks; he said we had to go sit at a table and someone would be out to take our order. So we went to sit and alas someone did come to take our order; I don't know if it was Steve himself, but I'm going to call him Steve. Steve was very nice and attentive and you could see he really cared about the people and the food he was serving. I got my Yelp sample platter and my dad got a dozen raw clams. My favorite were the clams casino... very yummy. My dad liked his clams and all that he tasted from my platter. I did try one of the raw clams and yep... those are not for me! I took a picture of the feast a table next to us got so I could show more of what they have to offer here. They are only open for the season for two more weeks, so hurry out and get your clam on!!!!

A burger, small fries and a milkshake was offered. How fun is that?! My choice of pistachio milkshake came first to the table. We couldn't resist and finished it before even thinking it was supposed to be a dessert. It was delicious - the best part of our meal. My Yelper Burger was topped with Stuck Sauce, cheese, and egg. Homemade salsa verde came on the side. It was good only because I like eggs in general. I should have added some salt, but the salsa spiced everything a little. I'm not sure what was wrong with the fries. It tasted like my home kitchen fiasco when I tried to make a healthier version using an air fryer. Unfortunately, the fries were dry and shriveled without much flavor. The whole experience would have been much nicer, if my partner's order wasn't screwed up. Also, his favorite burger was a lame version of what he got twice before -- a big disappointment. I didn't see the owner at the time of our visit. Something has definitely changed for the worse since our first visit. It's a very casual place and the main focus should be on the food and its quality. Come on Stack Burger! Don't let all the awards for best burger be just history.

The fries were average, little cold, and too spicy for my taste. Overall everything else tasted great Thanks Stack Burger, and our former CM Alex for setting this up as his last Elite Week perk prior to moving to Long Beach, CA .

Hands down one of the best I had, not sure what sauce was added to the handroll, but it elevated the tastee. Then, I had the homemade ginger ale, it wasn't tooo sweet, had a good punch of ginger flavor, and I liked it. Now, let us talk about the service. The server was friendly. I honestly could not tell the ingredients of the dish based on the name of the dish (I wasn't too familiar), so I asked the server. He was helpful explaining which dish had pork, chicken, etc. As for the atmosphere, it is modern and sleek, with a cozy vibe that is perfect for a date night out or social gatherings with friends. I loved watching the chefs work their magic in the open kitchen. And, bonus, it is super accessible by public transit. It was just a 5 minute walk from the college station. I am grateful for the complementary meal; I made sure to leave a generous tip because, well, great service deserves it. Also, it was lovely to meet fellow yelpers at the place. Thank you Yelp for the chopsticks and thank you to Yelp and Afuri Ramen for this opportunity. Overall, I am coming back here. I would like to try out the mini spicy tori karaage, and the tonkotsu tantan Ramen bowl.

The salmon poke taco was a fantastic start to the meal, tangy and crunchy and absolute stirring up my appetite. I also couldn't resist the crispy ramen eggs after reading the rave reviews, and they were indeed excellent - the combination of runny egg yolk and fried outer layer was on point. However, the highlight of the meal was certainly the hazelnut tantan ramen. What a unique vegan offering! The nutty, creamy taste was offset perfectly by the sharp spiciness of the broth, delivering a flavour bomb. Despite the dish being on the edge of my spice tolerance, I savoured every last drop (albeit very slowly). I chose an off-peak time of just past 11am to arrive, but I can see how the seating can get a bit tight when the space is full (particularly at the long table). The waitress was SO sweet, and food arrived extremely quickly. That being said, I only saw one staff serving the entire place, so I'm not sure how they would deal with a restaurant full of customers. I think the prices are a little on the more expensive side, but I would still drop by for a revisit when I crave that specific ramen again!

I didn't realize that Maker Faires are a worldwide event. The Rochester Faire featured a ton of local businesses, interest groups, colleges, and more. The Riverside Convention Center was the perfect place, as you could walk through the various rooms and hallways to take in all of the booths without it being too crowded. I mean, it was definitely full of people, but the large space made it more manageable to move around. There was food for sale and many of the vendors were also selling some of their works. I had a great time taking everything in! There were so many different creative things to see, from a puppeteer to robotics groups. My favorite was Save Zigby, which was an escape game created by a 4th grader. It was neat to see so many kids running around and engaging in STEM activities. This was a really fun event and great for families and solo visitors like me. I will definitely return next year!

As Stanley M. reviewed, it is "a science fair on steroids" is the best description! It was our first time here and there was LOTS to see and do for all ages. Two floors of different stations displaying electronics, robotics, inventions, and all creative and techy things. There were defined areas on the map provided to us that were for kids. Our 3 y/o was glued to the main entrance area at the hands-on tables. We stayed longer than anticipated because there were so many things to check out and thankful of the food trucks parked outside the convention center for a quick lunch. Later on we found a small food area in the back of the first floor, but didn't know until we made our way back there. I suggest leaving the big stroller at home and using a carrier for little ones. Try to get there early for this family friendly event so your kids get a chance at the hands-on stations. I anticipate this event will only get bigger each year!

Mangia & Bevi has this nice and cozy vibe and it is a perfect venue for a gathering of new and old Yelpers and have a sample of what they offers. Since there were so many first time attendants and the lack of communication, I believed a lot of people came here expect to have a "brunch'. As an experienced YEE attendant myself, I do know that 90% of YEE is more about socializing with peers and sampling what our host offers. I had chicken and waffle at Cluck Cluck and dessert at Neo before attending this event. As I did not really have a chance to get near any food, aside from this one mouthful of nutella pizza sample. Teresa C also nice enough to offer me a spoonful of quiche which I was really thankful. I kind of feeling sorry for Mangi & Bevi's waitstaff when everyone trying to attack them for food. Ended up they just leave it on the 2 big tables and just let hungry yelpers fought it out. It was a mob scene. I hope moving forward we can all learn from this experience and organize future event accordingly. Good thing was there was never any line at the drink station. It's located in office building and I was thinking whaaaaat?! No good could come of this! Did they want us to secretly photocopy some stuff on the side?! Well when I entered the space I was amazed - it's so gorgeous inside! Definitely my design aesthetic- exposed brick walls, dark and sexy lighting, gorgeous light fixtures- I was in home decor throws of ecstasy! Lovely drinks to start off the mingling and put you in a good mood....cuz you'd need it in a few minutes....just wait for it... Sadly I'm not sure what animals some of these people were raised by but I'm pretty sure this restaurant will never host a Yelp event again. It was like people hadn't eaten for days the way they attacked the food! Scavengers! Following the servers around with a hunger in their eyes that I've only ever seen on The Walking Dead. I only managed to try some blueberry dessert thing and the quiche...and only b/c another kind yelper gave me one of his! I was too scared to try and even attempt to forge my way in to get anything- i didn't want people mistaking my hands for chicken fingers!! I needed my hands to drive home later. A pack of hungry wolves was surely disappointing to me and my plus one, but at the same time we also got to see a horror show....so maybe it was a win? Great job Chantal and Kris for picking this restaurant as I would probably never have gone to it on my own. It was a great event regardless of the vultures circling about.
