Always great BBQ. My wife had the pulled pork platter and I had the baby back ribs. The baked beans side is above average and I don't know but maybe homemade? The potato salad is also great. The chips are a bag of Lays. Service is very positive and attentive. You order at the cash register, have a seat and they bring your food to you. The restaurant is clean. Nothing fancy. The restroom is one small room for all. So you may need to wait to use it. We have returned to this restaurant several times and will again in the future. read more

I am shocked that a small Midwest town in Indiana near the Ohio border had such phenomenal BBQ! I have made 2 visits and both of them have been exceptional! My first visit, I chose the Barnyard Burner Burger special. It came with pulled pork, spicy BBQ sauce, and cheese. But what was amazing about the burger was how soft, fresh, and smoky the hamburger meat was! I hadn't had a burger like this in years! I even liked it more than the BBQ, which if you follow my Yelp...that is very high praise! This week, I had the pulled pork and brisket with potato salad and beans. All phenomenal! The pulled pork is perfectly tender and smoky! I liked the pork more than the brisket but the brisket is 4 stars on its own. The potato salad has a lightly sweet mustard base to it with some eggs and relish mixed in. I enjoyed the beans more than the potato salad as the beans were in some kind of sweet and smoky conglomeration made in the back with brown sugar as a key ingredient. There are 4 sauces and I usually try to rank sauces, but I couldn't do it with these. They are all worthy on their own merit. The four sauces and a brief description are: Classic - mildly sweet tomato with a little pepper Sweet and Smoky - very sweet with a smoky taste and ketchup base Tangy - part vinegar, part tomato, all tangy Sue Tang - spicy mild to medium BBQ sauce, tomato base The one downside and it's common being a Southerner in the Mid-West is there is usually no sweet tea and if there is, it isn't sweet enough. They told me their tea maker was broke but there is a Kroger that has Milo's Sweet Tea that I have been allowed to carry in both times. Make a trip to Bluffton for Yergy's BBQ or Burgers. Friendly service from start to finish. Wait time was minimal. Food tasted great. Had the pulled pork which had a nice settle smoke flavor. Coleslaw not too sweet and had a little kick to it. $11 for a meat with two sides. Would definitely eat there again. read more

Yergys is opening in Portland and we tried the food truck today. Within 30 min brisket was sold out. Settled for the pulled pork nachos Supreme ($2 upcharge) Plenty to share with a friend. Sides of coleslaw were good (but spicey-possibly horseradish?) Also available at the food truck were tacos and sandwiches, both of which looked good. Nachos were good, jalapeños definitely added a kick of heat. The heaping mound of meat, sour cream, sauces, made the chips rather soggy if you didn't eat fast enough. But all in all, happy to have a new lunch spot coming to Portland Indiana. read more

So happy to have tried this locally owned BBQ restaurant! Their BBQ is amazingly delicious. Was well worth the almost hour drive. The recipes are created by the owners. I had the pulled pork supreme nachos and they were so good!! . My husband had the pulled pork, baked beans and cole slaw. He said it was all good but he said the coleslaw is the best he's ever had. I just can't patron an establishment that refuses to put any importance in the health & safety of their customers. That is neither patriotic or christian like behavior. Probably the best BBQ I've had in Indiana. Ordered the brisket sandwich with slaw and tried a jalapeño popper, too. Brisket was tender and moist- NOT dry for once! That alone is a minor miracle. . Slaw was crunchy, sweet, tangy, and creamy. I little over-sweet for my personal taste, otherwise exactly what I'm looking for in slaw. Popper was bacon wrapped- decadent, y'all- a lil flavor nug from heaven. 4 types of sauce: classic, smokey classic, vinegar, spicy vinegar. All good. Service was excellent- polite, smiling, and helpful. No look of hollow anguish in their eyes. Dine in, carry out, and catering. Several tight-set tables for dine-in. I would call ahead for large dine-in parties. Decor is basic pig figures combined with a few hand carved wood bears for sale. Looking forward to trying their other offerings-bbq tacos, nachos, loaded potatoes, etc. *lots of bibles and biz cards for ppl who want to "fix our runaway govmnt"- so if thats something you don't want to support i would do your research on the owners. read more

This place is real good. The brisket is amazing, and the side are great. I was shocked that Bluffton has a bbq place as good as this. I also had the smoked chicken, equally as good. These guys cook the food in the back of the parking lot and serve it indoors. I was back these at night and they were smoking the meat in the dark. Amazing skills in my opinion.
