We visit Ye's when we're in town visiting. They have a great selection for all palates so everyone leaves happy. We usually arrive right after opening during lunch and early for dinner as well. The food is fresh or they restock fresh dishes often. I cannot speak for soups or the salads as I do not come to a buffet for those items. The sushi items are decent. The typical chinese faire is also pretty good. The sesame balls are a great finisher. My kids love the ice cream and dessert bar but the last few times we went the soft serve machine was not working. One of the more popular AYCE spots in town. The place is big enough for large parties as we came with 25 ppl for a family party. The service was good and picked up plates quickly. There was alot of hot food and some basic sushi. All the items were mid and nothing really unique to make you crave this spot. It's not the largest selection of meal options I've ever seen but what they do have is quality. 4 star quality. The food I tried was pretty good! I wish the sushi was more authentically Japanese but it was still yummy. I love the taro bun and the red bean bun. Noodles were yummy. The desert was interesting and overall it's a fun place to try food items. They have about 6 rows, counting the sides, of buffet trays with meal options. This buffet is located near downtown Winnipeg and Polo Park Mall. Just like any other buffet, it was busy with families and friends all eager to eat a wide range of Asian food. The highlight of this buffet is definitely the service, because the employees were always happy to help! Not only that but, as blunt as it may seem to say this ... their staff spoke English and had great dialect which made it easy to communicate services. Whereas, some buffets I've been to only a fraction of the staff would understand and speak English. ASIAN FOOD, my fave. Oddly enough, this buffet had a great sushi selection (also something you don't see everyday). But I'd pass on the sashimi because it didn't taste as fresh. I love a good Asian buffet and this place doesn't disappoint. I guarantee everyone will find something to eat here. This place does a good job including different foods such as Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese. I like that I can have dim sum with some sushi. The food is not 5-star quality but there is enough variety here that I feel I can have a good meal. The only con is the service. I am used to subpar service at buffet restaurants already but this place is pretty bad. Good luck asking your server for anything you can't grab yourself. So much food! Rows and rows of food. And the sushi is decent, too, not overly filled with rice, I was surprised considering the selection for sushi. They have pork buns and dumplings and all the standard chicken pork and veggie fare for a buffet. Soft serve ice cream (they have mango flavored). The flavors aren't amazing, but they're pretty good! I went to the washroom to wash my hands 5 minutes after arriving and the garbage can were overflowing, staff was clean as we all stood in foyer waiting for our number to be called. When we proceeded to the food area, the food was about half full, we were there for about 1 hour and they were still bringing food out. $25.99 for this was robbery. This is one of the cleanest and friendliest buffet I've been to in Canada! The sushi was surprisingly good and I've been to Japan! Granted, I only stayed with the fresher looking foods. A group from our company went here for the all-you-can buffet and they charged us double for all the drinks we ordered. BE VERY CAREFUL if you come with a group of people and double check how much they charge you for drinks. The service was very bad as well. It was our first time here and the first thing I noticed was the amazing selection of foods, They had a great selection of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, sushi, Canadian/American, something for everyone. The only item that didn't excite me was the steak, only because it was too rare for my liking, but with the vast selection, there was lots more food to choose from that was absolutely delicious. The staff and service were fantastic and even though the place was PACKED, we didn't have to wait very long to get in and it didn't feel cramped like other buffets I've been to that get busy. The only negative I can see would be the parking... There just didn't seem to be enough, but with a fantastic buffet on Saturday evening, what can one expect. Ye's is my favourite Asian buffet restaurant in the City. It has a wide variety of food, ranging from pizza to sushi to dim sum to authentic Chinese dishes. The quality of food is excellent especially for buffet style. If you have friends who have refined pallets (I mean picky), they will certainly find something at Ye's that will cater to them because Ye's has everything!! For your not-too-adventurous friends, this is a also a great place to introduce them to Asian cuisine. The restaurant has a high ceiling so it feels very open when you walk in. It also has plenty of seatings, it is perfect for large groups. The ambient reminds me of what you'd find at luxury restaurants in Las Vegas. I have been to Ye's for a good 5-6 times now for different occasions, including both lunch and dinner. I have to admit that I have never once been disappointed with the food or service.
