I have been to Yes Donuts in the past and their initial appeal was that they were so close and made good donuts / kolache's. I also love to support small businesses so it all worked out. But today, sadly the service was not up to standard and the business no longer seems as incentivizing. I walked into the donut shop and it had a quant ambiance. It was small, but was big enough for a kolache / donut shop. There is no places to sit down, so expect to grab the food and bring it home or eat it in your car. Also, be mindful of the voucher on yelp. They no longer redeem the voucher, so the $5 I spent on the $10 coupon didn't mean anything when I went to the business. The food was as good as any other normal kolache / donut shop. So if you are near a closer kolache shop, making the trip out to this one I would say is not worth it. Hopefully in the future they add some more innovation to their menu and correct these little issues with the voucher, but until then I will go to the donut shop down the street . read more

Why 5 stars? Because all of these Shipley-esque spots are just as great as the OG. --- --- --- Before I moved away from Houston, I just assumed that donut shops with kolaches were prevalent in all corners of the country. I would be wrong. In Florida (and briefly Ohio), virtually no one had even ever heard of kolaches. And the donuts were more like the Krispy Kreme/Dunkin variety aka terrible. But here in Houston, there are approximately 4,000 donut shops per square mile and all of them follow Shipley's to a T - from the looks, to the smells and most importantly, to the tastes. I've wanted to try Yes Donuts for a while now but kept putting it off, because of the aforementioned donut shop concentration. When craving donuts and kolaches, I would have to drive past multiple Shipley's and other donut shops to get to Yes, so why not just go to the other ones that are just as delicious? So I probably won't be back often, but that's not a knock on Yes. It's purely geographical. If I lived, in say, Stillwater or even Jacob's Reserve, this would probably be my go-to- spot. And if I am nearby and looking for some treats, I wouldn't hesitate to come back. But for now, I'll stick to Snowflake right by my house. read more

Great little donut shop. They have several different kinds donuts. Regular glazed, Sprinkled maple, strawberry, cherry, chocolate, and white icing. I'm sure I'm missing some some flavors, but they have a lot to choose from. They have cake donuts, cinnamon rolls, bear claws, donut holes, jelly filled and so many more. Kolache's big and small. Social distancing and masks were never proven to be a preventative of any flu. yes donuts still have little circles on the ground requiring customers to social distance and stay 6 ft apart. We tried Three Kolaches. Out of the three The Smoked Sausage was my favorite. I wasn't a fan of the Boudain one. It had good flavor but it was a Texture thing for me. Ham and cheese was good. The long John Donut was really good. Basically a Boston Bavarian Donut. I would definitely come back. read more

I live just down the street from Yes Donuts and I'm so happy to have a reliable grab 'n go breakfast place nearby. Their kolaches are good, especially the ones wrapped in croissants, and the donuts are decent. The only thing I don't particularly care for is the boudin kolache that everyone else seems to love. Otherwise I'll gladly eat anything from here. It's family run and they're all so sweet. A free half-dozen of donut holes end up in your order more often than not. read more

Great donuts. The icing is on point. The cinnamon twist tastes like a cinnamon roll! The donut I didn't like was the old fashioned. It tasted like vanilla. They should be a bit sour from using buttermilk...but these are sickly sweet. If you're a fan of old fashions, don't bother with these. But! The other donuts were great, so stick with those. The donuts are a bit smaller than some other places but that's fine since they're also a bit cheaper. Definitely better than Dunkin'. I tried a kolache for the first time and it was gross. I'm not a fan. But I have nothing to compare it to. The breakfast tacos are much better! I'd get those instead. read more

We're trying to support local family owned restaurants but these people will not see a penny of my money. First time I went there the lady at the counter was a bit rude but I put it to a bad day. We decided to give them another shot, ordered food for delivery from their available menu which wasn't available at all. Without notice they cancelled the order. We ordered a number of different items including sandwiches, so what it tells me, they're dishonest with their order process. Not wasting my time again. read more

First off forget shipley's, they're not even in the same league as Yes, Yes donuts has THE BEST, Colotchies EVER (totally not biased right?) they are so fresh and the bread used on them is almost like sourdough, 5/5 I recommend coming here if you love a good donut and Colotchie. Best Colotchies anywhere nearby, surpasses shipley's by two miles. Pros: free dozen donuts on birthday (much to my embarrassment at the hands of my sister.), sourdough like bread on Colotchie, best donut holes second to Dunkin' Donuts. Cons: I don't mean to be biased here but I have honestly not found anything wrong here yet. I just love the place and there's nothing wrong with it that I see. I'm a fan! I love the chappel hill no cheese kolache. Their bread on them is really good and my parents had the croissant sandwiches and raved about them. My daughter loves that they have more choice in colours than other places and has picked the orange and the donut holes with white and pink icing with sprinkles. Some of the best donuts I have ever had! We have lived right behind them for almost a year. I have been tortured by that wonderful smell of donuts, but I am a firm Shipleys fan. But the other day I really wanted donuts, (my kryptonite). So, I decided to walk over and give them a try! WOW!!! I am really glad I thought they couldn't be as good as Shipleys because I would be 20 lbs. heavier!!! These are THE BEST DONUTS EVER!!! The dough is so soft and chewy, the icing is fantastic and the maple glaze is really good, good maple flavor! I love apple fritters, theirs are the best! Perfect bite sized pieces of apple.
