Corinthia Hotel in Lisbon is a beautiful 5 Stars level type of hotel. However, be warned that this hotel handles many tour groups. They even have a dedicated desk for Viking Cruises. This means at certain times of the day, the lobby or the breakfast area is an absolute zoo and pure chaos. They are a 5 stars level with a 4 to 4.5 stars experience depending on time of day. Their elevator is modernized, pre-scan with room card, and assigned an elevator. Some visitors simply take a longer time to understand how it works. One can get stuck behind a group and wait forever for an elevator. Other than that, we had a genuinely excellent stay. The room is comfortably sized and set up well. We were on the 17th floor with a skyline view. Pockets of the hotel are particularly pretty. My favorite is the back garden area. There are places to get a drink or simply visit. Breakfast can be chaotic when a tour group(s) is also there, but they manage well. The food choices are abundant; the cut fruits such as papaya were ripe and delicious. Coffee and drinks are delivered to the table. The location is good but not great. It is near a train station and a grocery store. Several restaurants are within easy walking distance, though not many. More options are a 20 minutes' walk away. Taking an uber is easier. read more

I have to say our stay here was beyond my expectations and I'm glad we decided to stay here. They are part of The Edit with Chase so I booked through the Chase Travel portal. After a tumultuous travel to even get to Lisbon, arriving at Corinthia felt like a breath of fresh air. Our flight was delayed by a whole day and they were able to adjust our reservation to start one day over at no extra charge which was really appreciated! With our CC, we were able to get a room upgrade with a corner suite. The room was fantastic, modern, clean and the bathroom had a shower and tub. They have a turndown service to prep your bed at night and leave some lavender on top too! Small trinkets in the room like water, egg tarts, and more was available. The location is not the best from the main tourist area, and there isn't a ton to see in the area, but they do have a free shuttle that takes you downtown that we were able to use. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel too! We were able to dine at one but around the holidays, the other restaurant we wanted to try was closed both nights for private events. Their room service was actually quite good (and fast!) too! The hotel breakfast has a nice spread as well! It was included in our stay so I felt that it was worth! Very nice five star hotel. Location is good. The hotel has three restaurants, and several restaurants are down the street. A grocery store is at the corner where we got meats, cheeses and a baguette to eat in the room after an exhausting day. If you're walkers like we are you can walk the 3.7 miles to old Lisbon. It's down hill. Took a good hour. The hotel room was not overly large, but we had enough room. A nice size table with two chairs was useful. The Nespresso coffee machine was my favorite. The refrigerator bar was fully stocked. Little packages of toiletries were available. Housekeepers came by every evening to check if we needed anything. We said, Chocolates! The breakfast buffet in the main restaurant had everything. The lobby people were kind and helpful. Umbrellas are available to borrow on rainy days. Recommend. read more

The Corinthia Lisbon is an elegant high-rise hotel in the business district of Lisbon, and near the Parque Florestal de Monsanto, a large and relaxing place to visit. The hotel has wonderful art throughout, the service is 5-star, and the food is okay. We did enjoy sitting and eating outdoors here, and there are a few authentic restaurants populated by locals that provide inexpensive good food nearby. We stayed in a standard room on the 15th floor. The view was nice and the room was clean, well organized, and the bed was quite comfortable. The room was somewhat small for the price paid, but nice and quiet. If I am to return to Lisbon, I think I'd like a hotel in a location with more happening, and more things within walking distance. read more

Loved this hotel. Stayed here 2 days before a Viking Douro River cruise. Although it wasn't in a great looking area, more "new" buildings around here. Clean, comfortable bed, enough room. Didn't like that stairs only unlock for fires. We were on floor 4 and would have walked up and down for exercise, but no. They had 3 restaurants , and the one in back served the greatest breakfast. We stayed here prior to departure on a Viking River Cruise on the Douro River, as have so many others writing reviews of this hotel. Our stay here and the service we received was exceptional and matched if not exceeded the service we have come to expect from Viking. The service was superb. Everyone seemed to be genuinely concerned that we were having our needs met or exceeded. Not a disgruntled employee in sight. They have several restaurant/bars on site, all with excellent food and drink. The breakfast buffet at Olivae is one of the best we have ever experienced, which is saying a lot. The hotel itself is modern and classy, but not pretentious. Our room was clean, well kept and cozy, the bed comfortable, with housekeeping and turndown service everyday; a rarity these days. We were treated like royalty. If you ever find yourself traveling to Lisbon, stay here. read more

We're staying here, during our two nights in Lisbon. Customer service was great. Our bags were delivered to our room, very quickly on our arrival. Everything was very clean, as we entered our room. Our room have many outlets to charge our electronics, and my Power Wash! They have a nice restaurant. The staff very helpful. They speak English! We have a nice view and very quiet (as I type this, no one's awake or moving outside), room. Sometimes, we could hear people talking outside, I'm not sure, if it's coming from next door or hallway. Update: There are two floor night-lights, but during the night, the night-light to the bathroom works, but the one under the sink is completely off, and there's no light inside the bathroom. If you closed the door (trying to be as quiet as a mouse, while your hubby is asleep, it's pitch dark inside. So be warned! Bring your phone, and I did, to use that light to find the door). There are no power to the restroom, if pressed from your bed. We found this the hard way! Update2: The shower glass was too narrow, when taking a shower, water got all over the bath rug. The restroom, smells like sewer water, I wonder like in Norway. Update3: The breakfast was impressive, I just gave them a new star a total of 5 stars. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights preceding our Viking cruise in Portugal. What a fabulous hotel! Very nice rooms, excellent shower, lots of amenities! I really loved the gym! Loads of equipment, all in working order, nicely laid out, with towels, water and fruit available at all times. Made it easy to get my workout in (since I was doing a little over-indulging!). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about things to do and places to eat/checkout in the city. And their breakfast....WOW! Can't say enough good things.... read more

For two nights prior to our Viking River Cruise on the Duoro River in Portugal, we were very fortunate to stay at the Corinthia Lisbon Hotel. It is excellent! Corinthia is a gorgeous, modern hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the bathroom matched their high standards. They had great, free wifi and an excellent cleaning staff. We quickly found their wonderful selection of restaurants. The first night we ate at their Soul Garden, which combines Asian and Latin American food. My husband, our friend, and I truly enjoyed three very good dishes and great drinks too. They have a great bar. Soul Garden has seating on a lovely garden terrace, which was so nice on that beautiful night. The next morning we really enjoyed their fantastic breakfast buffet on the Olivae restaurant patio terrace. There were several stations, that included everything that you could possibly want for breakfast or brunch. It was very good and very lovely! The Corinthia also had another attractive restaurant, the Evra, that served contemporary Portuguese, near the front of the hotel. The concierge was great and helped us navigate the city. If you want to stay in Lisbon, I highly recommend the Corinthia. We loved it! read more

While on tour in Portugal I managed to become a victim of covid. I moved into the Corinthia for my quarantine period. The room is very comfortable, great shower, nice TV, lots of space. The staff have been amazingly accommodating in helping me with this quarantine. I cannot say enough about how they have been so helpful. Positive attitude, worked with me on a special room rate, provided extra towels, sheets...they have gone above and beyond in service to make this situation more than bearable. They have been truly awesome. I have been using the room service and the food has been great. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers in Lisbon. read more

This is a quality hotel with nice modern rooms. There is a nice bar on the ground level that has a laid back, tropical motifed lounge feel with good cocktails. The breakfast is solid with multiple stations offering a broad set of options from made to order eggs, waffles, and charcuterie, fruits and pastries to a complete English breakfast line-up which was pretty delish. The service is warm and friendly. The spa is decent and maintained to the standards of what you'd expect from a nice hotel. The one complaint I had was that I booked a deep tissue massage and it was not satisfying at all. The massage therapist was super nice and sweet but she performed the stereotypical hotel massage -- nice zen music and aromatic essential oils but the massage itself was a total miss and I think I could have self administered or had my 12 yr old niece give me a much firmer massage. read more

Me and my husband stayed at Corinthia for the full duration of our 10 night stay in Lisbon. Let's just say we'd 100% stay here again because everything was so over the top. Some hotels say their 5-stars but miss the mark. We travel a lot (currently in Venice, Italy), so we know 5-star service when we've experienced it. Corinthia was wonderful from the beginning to end, we truly appreciated everything and I'd definitely say they lived up to the 5-stars. The hotel is really very well done. It's what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. My only complaint is that the location is more suited for business travelers than tourists so you really don't have a lot of choices for restaurants and shopping within a 10 minute walk. There are a lot of medical/hospital related businesses in the area but it is only 3 minutes from the metro and train station. Tip, get the 24/48 hour metro passes, you'll need them. The hotel has a doorman complete with uniform although in 4 days I think I saw him open the door twice. Not sure what purpose he serves other than ornamental. But the lobby is exquisite and typical of a 5 star hotel. The room was also beautiful and had the only real king size bed we found in 2 weeks of travel! It wasn't the typical 2 beds pushed together to make a king complete with the gap down the center which can be dangerous in the middle of the night. They also have a hidden coffee and pastry section towards the back of the first floor which I didn't discover till the last day. Free coffee and pastries. Wish I had known earlier! While the hotel is gorgeous, I felt like the staff was just a little bit disinterested or stuffy. They all spoke great English but they made me feel like I was bothering them. But I can overlook that. Liked the hotel but would not choose to stay here again since it's a bit out of the way. We just checked out after close to a week here, first on our own and then w/ our river cruise group. We moved here a few days early when we arrived at our third floor Air BnB to discover the lift wasn't working. Though we loved the flat and the Baixa neighborhood, we felt it was safer for us to move than to risk taking those stairs. Alan called the Corinthia and arranged for us to move there the following day. We stayed in the same room the entire time. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, there was a night light we could turn on, glass bottles of water were provided every day. The only issue I had was that the bathtub was deep and there was no grab bar, so I took sponge baths rather than risk a fall. The staff was unfailingly helpful, from the concierge, who answered numerous questions and made several dinner reservations for us, to the doormen who summoned taxis and told them where to take us, to the restaurant staff who took care of us when we ate in the hotel restaurants. Housekeeping staff kept our room clean. Wifi was free, fast and reliable. Elevators were secure, worked and there were four of them. The public areas were clean, comfortable and well organized. Fantastic hotel in a business quarter of Lisbon, close to ZOO and Praça Espanha. It is huge, one must admit but the service is very personal and the amenities of the hotel including beautiful garden just makes you feel at ease. We enjoyed the space and view of the Junior Suite on the 19th floor. I can not just praise the comfy bed enough. First time in the hotel when I was not looking forward going back home. Safe, mini bar, writing desk, all the usual suspects you expect from a five-star hotel were there. I think what made a difference was friendly attitude of all the employees who tried hard to make our stay memorable. This is great hotel property, full service including 2 restaurants, a bar, 2 deck lounges, luxury spa. There is not shortage of staff to assist from chamber maids, bellman, reception, concierge, guest services, and executive club greeter. Here's where I give away my age.. this isn't Sam Drucker from Petticoat Junction, the same people wearing many hats.. these are all separate and dedicated services, desks, and personnel. This is luxury hotel, it feels like it, looks like it, and sounds like it.. quiet stately. While kids and teens are welcome I'm sure, I did not see or more importantly, hear any teens, tweens, or kids running the halls. There is a full security staff including house detective. This is also a full service function facility complete with catering and dozens of different sized rooms some with floor to ceiling glass and great views. The catering was top notch both the food and service. The food was a blend of local favorites and the latest global gastronomic trends like tapas, sliders, and flatbreads. Roasted brick chicken, locally caught fish broiled to perfection, and great Portuguese seafood stews are just some of main fare. All served with the national pride in the form Pastéis Nata, a custard tart that everyone boosts of having the best recipe, all I can say is none sucked..! The only reason this did not get 5 stars was the hotel location is not in city centre and the immediate surroundings are part residential and commercial office spaces. This hotel was really nice. The room was comfortable and spacious. The views from the upper floors were amazing. Service was good. We went to the 24th floor a few times to enjoy some snacks (and breakfast) and the servers were always very helpful. I used the pool once and it was really pretty and relaxing. I really enjoyed my stay in Lisbon. I didn't know what to expect from this hotel but it was definitely a great stay. p.s. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Lisbon. The staff are all very nice, speak English, and are very accommodating. Guilhermo at the front desk stood out above the rest as he was very helpful in understanding local culture and customs while always making sure that we had what we needed. The hotel itself is in a seemingly weird area with graffiti'd walls nearby, but it is right across the street from the metro and train station (Sete Rios). There is a cheap bodega or shop where you can buy beer, water, and snacks and there are a few restaurants on the block that seemed to be pretty lively on a Sunday night. read more

I must start by saying that based on other reviews and the hotel's reputation, I had very high expectations, which unfortunately, were not met at all. I tried to book an Executive Suite at the last minute as I hadn't yet confirmed my travel plans and was travelling for business, and unfortunately I was not able to book any room online via their website, and when I called to check on room availability, they said that no rooms were available at all (not even regular rooms), which was unusual for a Sunday and Monday booking. Therefore, I booked a regular room (at a similar rate offered by the hotel itself) through a third party who suggested that I upgrade when I arrive at the hotel. I chose this particular hotel as I thought that it would be conveniently located to the major attractions and accessible; however, I was disappointed. I took the Aerobus from the airport to the hotel which took approximately 20 minutes and dropped me off right outside the door. When I arrived, although I had a confirmation number and had paid in advance, they had no confirmation of my booking on their end, which led to a very lengthy delay. Furthermore, I was unable to upgrade to an Executive Suite or even to any other room aside from the one on the 6th floor I was given, with a view of mostly a concrete wall. I asked about access to the Executive Lounge so that I could hold my meetings, which was 50 euros/day, and ultimately did not feel that it warranted the cost just to have a meeting, so I opted out. During my 2 day stay, I had additional issues attempting to obtain room service, where no one would answer the line, despite me waiting for up to half an hour. Similarly, the reception desk agents were unable to provide me with information regarding transportation or the city in general and referred me to the Information desk that was unattended. Furthermore, despite me hanging the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on my door, my room was entered by housekeeping and I had to phone the reception desk to inform them of such. I am always cognizant of keeping my business documents and electronics protected given the requirements of my work, and thus I typically request that housekeeping not enter. The room: Although my room had a poor view, it had a comfortable bed with a nicely equipped bathroom with a robe and slippers provided. There were hardly any outlets in the room to use at all which made it difficult for me to charge my electronics. There was a hot water kettle with instant coffee, but no coffee machine, and no ice machine available. The hotel itself: The highlight of my stay was the fantastic gym, and although I didn't use the spa or pool, these seemed quite nice. Outside, there was a lovely patio/bar area that you can actually see from the gym, and at the time I was there, they had a very large TV outside in this area as well. There is wifi in the hotel, although it did cut out sometimes. I did not eat any meals at the hotel itself, but I attempted to order room service, although there was no answer. I did not observe that the restaurants or bar in the hotel were particularly busy at any time, and although the outdoor patio was lovely, this also remained empty. Surrounding area: The hotel is located approximately 15-20 minutes driving time away from the hotel, and although it is located to the zoo, there isn't much else nearby with limited dining options. They do have a metro station that is a few minutes walk from the hotel itself, where you can catch a train to Sintra (approximately 40 mins) or to Baixa/Chiado/Rossio (approximately 15-20 minutes). I preferred to walk to the downtown area, stopping at the Gulbenkian museum which is approximately 15 minutes away walking, Marques de Pombel Park and El Corte Ingles, which is about the same distance. It took me approximately 45-50 minutes to walk to Rossio and the downtown area, but it was a very pleasant walk down the main avenue that is lined with high end luxury boutiques. Upon leaving, I attempted to obtain directions on how to make my way back to the airport (aside from taxis which I had had bad experiences with in Lisbon and decided against) and was given inaccurate and poor directions by multiple staff on how to get there by Aerobus and Metro. Overall, although others may find this to be a 5* hotel, my experience (as someone travelling for business and pleasure) was not the same, and my expectations were not at all met. I cannot justify the cost of staying here, nor would I recommend it, especially if you would truly like to experience Lisbon. read more

This hotel is top notch, centrally located, fab amenities (full service spa, multiple restaurants, stylish bar, gym, pool etc.) When you book a Jr. suite or better you are granted access to the Corinthia lounge. This is well worth the room rate, not to mention who doesn't like two bathrooms in their hotel room?! I know I do! The lounge is open around the clock and offers complimentary snacks, appetizers, cocktails, beers, dessert. In the mornings the have a chef that will make you whatever you want for breakfast, for free! The also have computers, couches to lounge on and views of Lisbon from the 24 floor. It's quite a treat to see the bridges, historic aqueducts and the bustling city from the comfort of the lounge. We will definitely be staying here again when we're back in the fall. read more

I really had high expectations for this hotel and realized how all the little things that I disliked added up. Firstly, hotel was under construction and there was no warning of such as I checked in. Jack hammering was consistent from 9am to 7pm. I had planned to work in the hotel part of the day and this was disappointing that there was no forewarning, I would have booked elsewhere. Rooms had very few outlets! I travel a lot for work and found this really unusual. I had to somehow contort myself to dry my hair in the hallway without a mirror, no outlet in the bathroom and no outlets bedside. As someone who relies on iPhone alarm to wake up, this was a bit awkward! I had attempted to make a phone call to rectify some flight plans but phone would not connect. I informed the front desk that this was the case but had a nice shock at checkout when they charged me almost 20 euros for phone calls I did not make. Manager on duty did not care, had no record of my complaint from days before and refused to do anything about it. After staying for a week at their hotel, I really expected a bit more from them in terms of customer service! Also, housekeeping ignored the do not disturb signs multiple times, to the point that I found it somewhat comedic since sign is in multiple languages. Concierge recommended two very bad restaurants, which was disappointing. I think the phone situation and loud noise clouded my overall stay, I would NOT recommend staying here, not worth the cost for all of the inconveniences. read more

Obviously, when you look at the price point of this hotel, this is some cream of the crop hospitality. And it is. It's extremely clean and accommodating with lots of little happy discoveries to be made, like robes and slippers and good pencils and retractable tea sets and massive beds and an amazing breakfast buffet (another 18-20 euro FYI, but in my mind, worth it with all the things you could possibly want in a breakfast buffet). Also an all hours gym which is extremely convenient for my cousin and my mother (basically anyone but me, because the last time I went to a gym was 4 years ago). The lobby is absolutely beautiful and humongous. The elevators are like the most high tech elevators I've ever seen. No buttons required, you swipe your card, enter a floor number, and it tells you which elevator will take you to your room. Maybe I'm just not on top of my elevator game but I thought it was pretty cool and it gives you an idea of how much effort went into this place. Ok my only thing to knock it on? Their swimming pool/jacuzzi: MAKE SURE YOU BRING A SWIMCAP. You're not allowed in without one and they will try and sell you one for five euro. I'll start off this review by saying this hotel is fabulous.The hotel is large, comfortable and extremely accommodating. One thing that occurred during our stay let the hotel down, on our first day our bags were looked after by the hotel as we arrived too early for check in. Upon checking in our bags couldn't be found by the staff members. After looking though the numerous baggage rooms with no results a staff member brought them to our room saying he had them all the time. We were without our bags for 5 hours before they were sent up to our room, no complimentary gift was offered as an apology. My partner and I stayed here twice this month. We originally booked our three nights for when we planed in Portugal. We loved this place so much that we insisted on returning back to Lisbon for two more nights before the end of our trip. Hotel is very clean, Bed and bed linens are luxurious and comfortable. They actually have Queen and King sized beds!!! Hotel staff is pleasant and professional but not the warmest. I'm Of Portuguese decent to I can honestly say its a cultural thing. If you book with them you get to enjoy the executive sky lounge - including spectacular views, canapés all day, refreshments & breakfast. Very pretty The pool is very nice and so is the spa area for 20 euros each. Room service food was mediocre and expensive but presented perfectly. this is a huge hotel, beloved by some, decried by some. If you stay here, be sure to book on the executive level (its an extra 20 euro per night or so). The executive floor has cooked breakfast and tapas and beverages the rest of the day. Wine, champagne and beer is complimentary. Worth the $$$ and the staff on the executive floor is very helpful. Do not eat in the restaurant Tipico. We did this one night and service was terrible, our waiter forgot to place part of our order, and actually changed the price of a glass of port from what he told us it would cost, tried to upsell us to a 50 euro bottle of portugese wine and then, after we signed the bill, told us he made a mistake on our bill and tried to charge us another 30 euro. The quality of the food was fine, actually very decently good, but the experience at the restaurant here really downgraded the hotel experience signicantly. Although the exercise room and spa are relatively nice, they are located next to the indoor pool which is heated to 90 and very heavily dosed with chlorine, so your workout will be tempered by the fact that you will be sweating due to the humidity and will also be inhaling chlorine fumes. If the restaurant service was improved (like by hiring staff with more IQ points) and the exercise room & spa area degassed with an improved ventilation system, this would have been a five star experience. read more

They have awesome room service and they were happy to help us with directions and suggestions.
