Cute shop in the arts district has unique household accessories. I spotted this Mother-of-Pearl tray and now I have to go back to buy it. That's the true test, if you saw something and put it back on the shelf, yet, you still want it weeks later, it means you really "want" it. I doubt I will find anything similar anywhere else. Another item that stood out to me were candle holders made of heavy glass they resembled large ice cubes, almost like a paperweight. There was a matching wine holder. A better way to describe them is made of lucite glass. They would look nice on a bar or dining table. There are lots of antiques and handmade embroidered, knit, crochet towels, aprons, and placemats. This place, which just opened, is super cute! I got my hair cut and my stylist suggest I check out his new neighbor down the block. With the absence of Leaping Lotus, we needed a place with all kinds of gifts or home decor and reasonable prices. Yes Yes Yes is a collective, with selections from many artists. I'm giving four stars instead of 5 because nothing caught my eye today to buy (I'm an earrings girl and nothing caught my fancy). But I loved checking out the diverse things they had - at lots of price ranges. Unique art for $900 - or groovy sunglasses for $13. Jewelry, glassware, rugs, furnishings, clothing, accessories - and used records (real records on vinyl at reasonable prices!).I found it a whole lot more interesting than Solo across the street and will look forward to browsing the next time I'm on Cedros. Randomly popped in here while walking by not knowing what I would get myself into. I was pleasantly surprised to see a variety of old and new (clothing, home goods, vinyls, rugs, candles). My favorite area of the store was a curated assortment of home decor, art and furniture that was likely sourced from the likes of estate sales. I bought a painting that was reasonably priced and had my eye on a few other items. I feel their pricing is fair and they have goods at all price points. Service was warm and helpful. He was polite and super helpful. Also, the pricing of the vinyls is more affordable compared to other record stores in the area. For everyone's cup of tea in Yes Yes Collective. Truly a collection of treasures waiting for its new owner. Imagine many of these pre-owned items displayed in various households or office rooms for decades. You can give it a new life! The selection is eclectic and at times overwhelming. If you have the patience and take the time to enjoy vintage antiquing there is a gem waiting to be found. I found myself adorned to the mid century modern and Jennifer Price Collection. Start to finish, our visit here was THE BEST!!! My sweet MomMa and her business partner (and favorite daughter...LOL...private joke) had places at the Antiques Warehouse on Cedros. So sad it closed. Years later, Jen and Kara (?) opened Yes Yes. She and Sergio fondly remembered my Ma...Anyway, this place is an absolute delight and feast for the eyes!!! So tastefully appointed and WOW inspiring!
