Other items present as well, of course, but they all seemed to be asking the same price (or higher) as any of the antique shops in the region. I.e., there didn't seem to be any significant deals here, even after negotiating a few times. Many of the vendors seemed bored and apathetic. Not a good atmosphere. Finally the head appraiser guy was the most bored, apathetic, and rude of all. I presented him with 1915 sketch by a French artist for appraisal. First thing this guy does is quickly glance at it then dismissively hand it off to another appraiser stating, "Strictly amateur hour". Now, it may well have not had a tremendous worth, but it could have had sentimental value or similar. Way to make people feel welcome and comfortable, arsehole! The other appraisers seemed glued to their smartphones/internet when appraising other people's items, I noticed. Hey appraisers, I can look up values on Ebay et al myself! If you're not an expert in the item-type being handed to you, be honest and SAY SO! Avoid these people, folks. It's not even worth your $5 per item... and they really don't want to be there.

Feels a bit like they just threw the hinge in places and hoped it made sense. Came in a group and none of us found anything of interest. We all have pretty different tastes too. Not a ton of furniture but loads of accent pieces or decorations. It's priced pretty high given how meh I thought it was. What makes it even worse was the attitude of the worker. He lowered and peaked over his paper, saw me, and promptly put it back up. Is that a new sales tactic? If so, remind me to never be in sales. Was just cold and rude. Can't say I liked this place. The pricing is higher than I could find at other nearby antique stores and selection not as nice. I'd recommend Yes Yes on Cedros which has some cool antiques mixed in with their other stuff and for a full antique mall, the one in Encinitas is much larger.
