Honestly it used to be fine. Lately I've PRIMARILY been using the treadmills, but guess what?? EVERYTHING IS BROKEN! At least 1/3 of treadmills are broken every single time I go, sometimes for months! Yesterday I counted 7!! Along with a couple of ellipticals, and previously, every single stair master except for 1. I sometimes only have time to go after work, when there is a huge line!! Multiple weight machines are all broken and old as well upstairs. Tons of people came for the basketball courts, which they closed down! The same machines were broken for so long that I complained to the front desk. They told me that they "put in multiple requests, but it takes weeks for the repairmen to come. Once they do, there are new machines that break after the broken ones have been fixed." Why would it take weeks to repair machines, just to have them break over and over and over? I've never seen this many broken machines at any other gym. The workers also yell at us to get out once we get close to closing time. A few times I was changing in the bathroom, and someone told me over and over again that the gym was closed and to get out. Should I just run out naked? I've heard them yell over the intercom, and make unprofessional "gen z" noises and screeches. Honestly if I didn't get charged the stupid "initiation fee" and "annual fee" I would COMPLETELY run the other way, no hesitation. Literally we should get reimbursed for the trauma we are experiencing and all our time wasted!!

I continue to be a member as there's no other option but it's a shame they're not responsive to member feedback (which I personally have been giving for multiple years).

I really appreciate his coaching style--he doesn't sugarcoat things, he's well organized, holds the players accountable, and maintains discipline. I do think some of the younger coaches could be more consistent with discipline and organization when working with the kids. That said, our social experience at the club has been disappointing. My daughter has often felt excluded by some of the players. She has experienced being left out of group activities, kids whispering, making fun of her, and, at times, saying things in front of her. From our experience, many of these incidents involved established groups of Asian players who tended to stay within their own circles. I want to be clear that this reflects our personal experience and not every family or player at the club. We have many Asian friends, and some have shared that they have also experienced cliquish behavior within certain communities. Regardless of anyone's background, no child should feel excluded or be treated unkindly. If your main goal is excellent volleyball training, SF Tremors is a great club. Just be prepared that the social environment may not be as welcoming for every child. I encourage parents to remind their children to stay confident, be kind to others, and not let immature behavior from a few kids affect their love for the sport.

She started Tremors summer clinics when she was 10 with her friends and later on the DPS (all year round program). And to my surprise she was super focus and worked hard whenever Coach Church is present. I will highly recommend check the Tremor training out to see what's out there for your kids ( the kids do not mess around or chitchat during his practice). Coach Church is a very nice gentleman outside the volleyball arena... at least to me (from adult view).

With the recent departure of its captain, who set the tone of the team since its founding, as well as other long-time paddler departures, the team is facing a significant transition. Tough challenges, such as the always difficult decisions of selecting crews, motivating and unifying large numbers of members with different backgrounds, and maintaining the difficult balance of fun and competition are formidable. Yet with change and challenge lies opportunities that will hopefully empower the DW spirit, which has been the hallmark of this team, to prevail. With more new and younger staff, you get a newfound source of energy that is refreshing and up-to-date on all the latest and greatest regimens to strengthen your conditioning and to avoid injuries on land and water. These include a variety of stretching exercises and tougher workout routines to improve your fitness as well as team-building games at picnics and bowling alleys. Having a younger club based in San Francisco enabled DW to fundraise over $2K from garage/yard sales. Finally, organization of trips, events, finances, and birthdays has improved with sweet treats from the team's talented new staff. Hopefully, all of this helps sustain the famous tradition of DW having the best food tent amongst all the teams given its cookbook, which was a signature fundraiser for the team. Regardless of these changes, DW is a great way to improve physical fitness and to socialize by working and having fun as a team. As a true team sport where your performance depends on everyone blending together in harmony, not on superstars, it's hard to paddle effectively as a team. Thus, DW offers a unique opportunity to develop these important skills on and off the water that you can leverage in other aspects of your life in the workplace and at home. Parking is ample in Harding Park except when the crew teams race and late in the season when corporate and novice teams need to practice for the annual San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival. (Coincidentally, a majority of DW volunteers to make this the most successful and largest dragon boat festival in the U.S. every year.) The ambiance can be sunny, but the weather is usually overcast, cold, damp and stinky due to bird poop. Rain or shine, there is practice given the DW mentality to paddle in anything except dense fog, lighting or hurricanes. This is what some would call having heart or paddling long and strong no matter what obstacles you face to make you a tougher warrior. As DW rebuilds, grows, adapts, and matures to a different beat of the drum, it will be interesting to see how this team develops, where it goes, and how it deals with the growing pains. The success of this team has come from a positive spirit and heart to sacrifice for the team from all walks of life and ages. There curriculum seems great…read more As with any of these activities for kids, it really depends on the teacher. Some are great, others not so much. Like right now, I'm watching Atiery teaching a class of 9 girls. There's one girl at a time going down the tumble track and the other 8 are doing nothing. Even though the good teachers would have the kids doing something useful with their time, like practicing handstands against the wall or something. I don't know why management doesn't include that in training, but I definitely won't be wasting my money on a class taught by one of these inefficient teachers.

I still have nightmares about her. Holidays are unpaid. Whenever the gym is closed you will not get paid that day. It could be closed for days at a time and you will find out with little notice. The camps are out of control and not worth the pay. The gym is dirty and the bathrooms are disgusting, myself as a teacher didn't even want to use them. Terrible location to commute to. Heavy crime in the area and sometimes the whole gym will smell like fent, no air conditioning !! even during extreme heat classes will continue and their will be nothing but the 20 year old floor fans on. Short staffed because after a while of dealing with the owner you start to hate your life. gym mats losing foam are secured with tape, mats are not cleaned, leaky roofs, foam pit hasn't been cleaned in over 10+ years. Ive overhead parents say the gym looks the exact same as the time they attended because the equipment is old !!!! keep in mind the owner owns multiple properties aside from the gyms and is a millionaire. You will have to make up for the absence of workers by subbing and combining different level classes. good luck!
