Yet another chain from Taiwan! I went to this chain when I went back last year and wanted to see whether it was similar to my experience in Taiwan. This is the newly opened location in Richmond, right beside Meet Fresh, which is another Taiwanese chain (for desserts), lol. There was a line up when I went. It was quite a small place and could be rather crowded when there was a line. They posted a menu at the door so you could check out what you'd like to order while you stand in line. The one I went to in Taiwan was just as small, if not smaller. It also looked quite identical as the real thing! So what's the difference between this chain and all the other ones? This one is know for fruity drinks. Their "Fruit Tea" was actually pretty good. They also have the "Cane Milk" here which was what I had in Taiwan. I got the star fruit juice with no ice @ $4.50. The price was decent. People always think I'm crazy whenever I ask for no ice but I absolutely hate it when the ice cubes dilute my drinks! Without ice, my star fruit juice retained its full "salty" flavor and it totally brought back nostalgic memories from Taiwan. Don't expect to come here and socialize with your friends as you drink your fruit teas. There's barely any seating area here. This is more like a take-out place.

Mashed taro milk and brown sugar pearls milk

ADDICTIVE YIFANG BBT Christmas is just over...but let's keep that holiday spirit up!! Remember We have 5 days till NEW YEAR!! (Hooray !!) This year the world has been through a lot...so does our people. Therefore, sweet treats are much needed to heal our broken souls!! We appreciate @yifangtea.bc YIFANG still opened on Christmas Day, so people who have sweet tooth like me were able to enjoy some bbt on holidays! We ordered: 1. Mashed taro milk $7.95 Love how creamy and thick the fresh taro is at the bottom! It is not overly sweet, but it tastes subtle with the milk! YIFANG also uses local organic milk to elevate the quality on their drinks, so even though the price is a bit steep compared to other bbt shops, i think it somehow makes sense! 2. Brown sugar pearl milk $6.50 I remember it was YIFANG who first brought up the brown sugar hype in Vancouver! Always lineup there when they first launched the limited time brown sugar drinks back then. Love how soft, sugary and chewy the pearls are! They cooked the pearls right!! But overall it is a bit too sweet for me, which gave me sugar rush right after the first sip. If you're usually a 100% sugar level person, that's the drink for you! (I prefer 0-30% sugar on my bbt and that's only my opinion) What's a must get for you at YIFANG? And what's your favourite holiday bbt, or even all time favourite?! Let me know if you have any recommendation at YIFANG!! I'm dying to try them out next time!! #bubbletea #yifang #taro #brownsugar #bbt #boba #yvrfoodblogger #yvrnomz #yvr #yvrfoodie #yvreats #yvreatsandtreats #604eats #604food #nomsmag #foodporn #foodblogger #food #sweettooth #sweettreats #foodies #foodstagram #likeforlikes #like4likes #likesforlike #foodlover #yummy #nomnom #nomnomyvr

I really like the brown sugar boba in NYC, so I decided to give Yifang Fruit Tea a try when I was in town. I arrived super early and waited for a bit. The drink was a huge let down when compared to the one I had in NYC. It didn't caramelize and it was also very very watered down! I couldn't even taste the brown sugar or the tea! - Long lines - Water down drinks - Not as great as the other locations

Yifang is now in Richmond! I've always wanted to go to their downtown location but never had a chance since I rarely go to downtown. This place is famous for their fruit tea. I had the signature Yifang Fruit Tea and it was amazing! I usually get my bubble tea less sweet but I decided not to make any adjustments since this is my first time trying Yifang. And I'm glad I didn't! It was the perfect amount of sweetness. It's super refreshing and a really nice summer drink!

I was thirsty post chicken and this was mediocre... will pass.

Honestly... This is the 3rd bubble tea in two weeks that was sub par. This remained in the fridge for a few days now 20% drunk. Will not return. As this is one of the recommended drinks and I did not make any substitutions. On the positive, the lady was very nice, and the boba was small and chewy ...

I've tried many brown sugar milk tea after it's gotten popular. And Yi Fang has done really well on the soft pearls, that I think it's the best by far! Yi Fang starts selling their Brown Sugar Milk Tea everyday after 3:30pm (Or 4:30??), and there was a loooong line up outside the door. So it's best to go there early to avoid loooong line up! (Also they're opening another YiFang at SFU! YAY!)

This place can't ever go wrong for their fantastic fruit teas! Plus their new cups currently is super cute! I love ding dong perfect photo opportunity and it just makes this more summery! * Their yifang fruit tea ($6.50) I love their fruit tea. It's super refreshing and yummy! I love how there is real fruits in side! The best part is passion fruit! So good. And after drinking all of the yummy goodness you can eat the delicious mouth watering fruits! * Black sugar pearl matcha latte ($7.95) this was surprisingly delicious. The pearls were super soft and chewy definitely made fresh there! The brown sugar is delectable and very yummy! The matcha was nice too however they have a very thick milk base they use as it's organic milk. I thought it was a bit too thick for me and heavy. But I'd defiantly try their Regular brown sugar again without the matcha!!! * 6/10 - the bbt is quite pricy $8 for the matcha is too expensive. However it's super fresh and you get a lot of brown sugar pearls! I really like their pearls. * 8/10 - the fruit tea as usual is amazing. But the matcha was a bit too thick and rich for my pallet. If you love thick and rich drinks then the matcha is definitely for you! I recommend this to all my matcha and brown sugar lovers!

Sugarcane green tea and classic fruit tea.

First time trying YiFang. We saw a lot of people holding their drinks and decided to try some. We got there a little after 4pm and there was a line out the door, I was quite shocked. However the line was moving rather fast. And once you order, took less than 5 mins for the drinks to be ready so the service was fast. Place seems rather clean, but only few spots to sit, bar style seats. We ordered sugarcane green tea and their classic fruit tea. Both was rather good, but I did prefer sugarcane more. We'll come again and try other drinks next time we're in town

Visited: Dec 8, 2018 My companion (let's call her krazykale) and I were in the neighbourhood and decided we want to try their brown sugar milk. Yifang sells their brown sugar milk at 3pm and we got there at 2:50pm and there were 5 people in front of us. We waited in front of the staff stirring the pearls and they won't take our orders until the batch of pearls is ready. The wait wasn't painful as we were at the front of the line, but the line starts to build at around 3pm and there were about 10-15 people behind us. The cashier took our order and like all other brown sugar lattes in all bubble tea shops, you can't modify the sweetness or the ice level. It also only comes in one size (large) as the cashier didn't give us an option. She did, however, asked if krazykale wanted hers cold or "warm". It was a cold day so she settled for warm and I with the cold. I was surprised that the brown sugar isn't as intense as the other stores (Xing fu tang, sharetea...). The pearls were also smaller and quite soft, which I don't really care for. The flavour is there, it's a good drink but I won't line up again when there are other shops that serve the same product without the lineup and tastes just as good. As for the warm version, my companion thought it was comforting to drink on a cold day. She reckons it make a very good substitute for hot chocolate. She agrees that the pearls were too soft but the sweetness level and tea flavour was good. Ordered: Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea x2 [cold and warm]

Passion fruit green tea with aiyu jelly

Worst passion fruit green tea with aiyu jelly I've ever tasted. The staff remade it for me and I still had to chuck it away after two sips! The aiyu tasted bitter and the passion fruit green tea tasted days old.

I personally tried the cheese foam black tea with mochi and golden pearls which costed close to 10CAD. The cheese foam was slightly salty and pretty creamy, and the taste is much more pronounced when you dip the plain mochi into the drink. The mochi itself was slightly soft though a bit uneven in texture as some parts are chewy and some parts are already a little bit dry. I do like they nicely wrapped the mochi in a plastic bag to preserve the moisture, though I ended up trying it out immediately to get the maximum freshness. The tea itself is flavorful and not too sweet, which is what I intended because I opted for light sugar (30%). The golden pearls were pretty chewy and are the right preferred texture. While I liked the general quality of the drinks, like other reviews mentioned, the price of the drinks are a bit on the higher end but the quality did not really scale up compared to a good boba spot.

The walls are decorated with pictures from Europe and the teacups are very "British." Besides scone and tea, you can get regular food here as well such as fries, salt & pepper chicken, and radish cake to name just a few. You can also get cold drinks like juice & bubble tea, and bubble tea drinks here too. So...not your typical British style Afternoon Tea joint. Kind of half restaurant, half tea place. My friend had a pot of Leisure Fresh Fruit tea and a scone. We'd already had lunch a bit earlier and while my friend had room for a scone, I had zero room in my stomach for any food so I just had a pot of Longan Red Date tea. It was a cold day so a pot of hot tea really hit the spot. I thought it a bit pricy at first, but when the tea came, I saw that the teabags were Fortnum & Mason teabags. That is a very a prestigious company from all the way over in England. When I realized we were drinking Fortnum & Mason tea, all of a sudden $10.25 didn't seem so extravagant any more. My friend said her scone seemed like more of a biscuit than a scone. It came with butter and jam. I think she wished there had been some clotted cream to go with it. I can't say too much about the food as I only had one pot of tea but I was impressed that it was Fortnum & Mason tea, and I very much enjoyed the flavor of the Longan & Red Dates in my tea.

This location is the one I tend to come across the most cause I usually am visiting the mall. The shop sticks out with it's red design. It's just a pretty small boba vendor shop that's kind of hidden away. The menu is basically a screen running a video so that it animates and loops. There's quite of a selection of drinks on it though. Most of them are on the sweeter side with their cookies and cream shake. They've got a lot of crazy drinks going on, but I'm a simple man that likes his simple drinks and lately, I've been very much into the #8 fresh jade lemon green tea. Because the drinks are pretty sweet I usually adjust it to like 75% sweetness. I also adjust the ice level to get more for my buck and ask for less ice. Hard to judge boba shops in my opinion. Especially since any adjustments I make to my drink is on me and not on the shop. Service was quite fine. Only one person was on the job when I was there, but I've seen two people there before. One to make drinks and the other manning the cashier. Overall, I thought my drink turned out fine. Just have to adjust by trial and error to get the right sweetness down for yourself.
