This time I got the Black Sesame Tea Latte 70% sweet and light ice and it was perfect! The amount of Sesame in the drink was generous, you can taste the sesame in each sip throughout the entire drink. Also got the Black tea latte! The tea flavor was nice and it was different than other places I've had. Love this classic drink. The staff is always nice and everytime I went in there's always available seating. Tried their signature fruit tea 30% sweet today, and it was exactly what I needed after walking outside for an hour in Tempe. I had been hesitant about visiting YiFang because of how its interior appears in photos and scarce parking (as it's located in a bustling shopping complex). I took the chance on a Thursday around 6pm. To my surprise there WAS parking that wasn't all the way across the parking lot and there WAS seating available for me to meet up with a friend and be productive! Not sure that this speaks to anything but luck but just something to be aware of! The inside isn't that small, but there's only 4 tables and 16 chairs. At the time of my visit, half of the furnishing was taken up by a large group loudly socializing. The other half of the store was left with only a few chairs and kiosks for ordering. I don't think the store is using its space efficiently at all. At least there's free guest wifi and 4 outlets on the wall near the tables. Anyway, along with the kiosks you can order at the register. Despite specializing in fruit teas specifically, I stuck to my usual order of a black milk tea + cheese or salt or vanilla foam + black pearl boba. My order was ultimately the "cheese creamer black tea", with less ice, pearls, and "latte" version written in the order notes aka adding milk. I was told by my cashier that this choice isn't known to be sweet, even at 100% sugar, but I opted for it anyway. He was totally right, and my drink was less sweet than I am used to but I still enjoyed it a lot! The cheese foam itself was savory but added sweetness. The tea taste was strong but balanced the drink well overall. I enjoyed my drink but don't think I'd readily come back given general difficulty parking and general lack of furnishing and therefore chance I'd be able to snag a seat upon making the trek out here. This location in Tempe is great for grab and go or i'f you need a second to chill out. You can either order at the kiosk or at the register and the employees are happy to answer any questions. So close to the airport! And can't beat the convenience with Trader Joe's and PNC right next door in the same outlet. We ordered drinks off UberEats right as we left the airport and by the time we arrived, our orders were ready. Super fast and friendly staff there. Also, the bubbles were perfectly QQ, and they were very generous with the toppings! I got additional sago. My taro latte even had real taro in it which was a new concept to me, coming from the northeast where bubble tea shops are still relatively few and far between... and all of them use powder. Menu was easy to navigate online and their onsite ordering kiosks were very accessible as well. It's a small footprint inside, but very cozy and clean. YiFang's quality control is consistent across different storefronts (been to a few here on the west coast and in Taiwan). I ordered the brown sugar oolong milk tea with boba for me, the osmanthus (I think) oolong latte for my partner and the chocolate egg pancakes. I was blown away. I've come to expect from the majority of tea shops an extremely sweet and not exactly authentic tasting tea. I'm able to say YiFang has completely changed my mind. My brown sugar oolong milk tea you could really taste the premium oolong tea and it wasn't too sweet overwhelming the tea itself. My partners drink she loved as well and she's a bit more picky than I am. It was a very nice touch the osmanthus in her tea wasn't too sweat either and complimented the oolong very well. The chocolate pancakes were delicious and I 100% will be back just for just those. The Staff was very kinda and you could tell that they really put their everything into every cup. read more

Pretty damn good boba tea and Im really happy Emma N told me about this place. I was in the shopping center getting groceries at TJs and then when I came out, I saw YiFang! I stopped in close to 8pm on a weeknight and literally no one was in here. They have a very overwhelming menu but good thing is that you order at a kiosk. I liked that they had winter specials even though technically its still fall. I chose a longan jujube oat milk latte with sago. Ordering was easy and a few minutes later, my drink was ready. My drink was super hot and also just FYI that you can't adjust sweetness on this drink but I will say it was a really good drink and not too sweet. The only issue I had was the longan and jujube were stuck in the cup and I had to tear back the plastic sealed lip to get to them and eat them. Overall, a really well made drink and I would come back! The only issue is that at the $10 price point, I can't justify coming here too often. The drinks do take awhile to make but it's okay if they're making it fresh. They have kiosks where you order and a screen to tell you when your order is ready. If you don't want to interact with people, this place is for you. I've also tried their signature fruit tea at 30%. While I like all the elements of the drink...there's a lot, 30% is way too sweet. It caught me off guard because fruit teas aren't typically that sweet at other boba places but I know to get 0% sweetness next time. There are a lot of options on the menu so it can be overwhelming but I like options. I feel like I could go and try something new and not be bored of the place. I have yet to try to the milk but I think I've had it at another location. I can't really remember it but it probably wasn't that memorable. They also designated non-caffeinated options as I'm someone who watches my caffeine intake. While they are in a busy plaza, which can be good for business, it's not a fun parking lot to navigate. Oh my, who would have thought that a suggested 30% sugar would be SO DELICIOUS! They know what they're talking about!!!! I ordered the signature fruit tea, and omg had I not followed the suggested sweet level, this drink would have turned into a disaster and I would have been on sugar high for days! My partner ordered a brown sugar boba sub soy milk (it's possible!) and he said it was perfect! I visited during the grand opening weekend, so it was busy and all the seats were filled with guests. I bet if I showed up on a normal day, it would have been more chilled. Here's the reason for the 4-star rating: everything from walking in to ordering on the self-service kiosks was great (easy to navigate), until the waiting part...there wasn't really a good spot to wait around (and for 13 minutes) unless you're right next to the entrance or by the kiosks, but that would mean eventually you're blended with the people waiting to order, or too close to the people seated. Boba Cheerios to the newbie on the block, YiFang! I definitely like these guys better than the last boba shop that was in the same space! I give them props for redecorating and giving the shop a nice decor. Heck, they even have their own branded boba cups! No traditional ordering. This is a kiosk ordering only shop, which is nice. Workers are very friendly and helpful once you reach out to them if you have any questions. The shop is small, but they utilize the space as best that they can. Seats could definitely use some cushions for comfort. I tried their Taiwanese taro green tea latte with grass jelly. My tastebuds filed a formal complaint for my ridiculous choice to put grass jelly in a taro green tea latte, but despite me intentionally wanting to sabotage my own tea, it turned out pretty dang good! 30% sweetness was not sweet enough, so I'll go with 50% next time, but good to know that they don't overdo it on the sugar! So nice we had to visit twice! My partner and I stopped in during the soft opening to grab some of the BOGO drinks- and it was packed! It's really easy to order- there are digital kiosks with automatically applied coupons if you order the drinks with said deals. The kiosks allow you to customize drinks to your perfect sweetness level, as well as your ice preferences and any topping/milk substitutions you may like. The interior is clean and decorated tastefully, with plenty of seating. The first night (unfortunately, I didn't snap a pic as my phone had died) we tried the Mango Pomelo Sago and the Yifang Signature Fruit Tea. The Mango Pomelo Sago was fantastic- not too sweet or bitter. The ratio of grapefruit to mango to coconut was on point and the sago pearls are a satisfying little bite. The Yifang Fruit Tea was also excellent- the recommended sweetness was perfect. The tea was tart and refreshing, and the bits of pineapple and passionfruit were delicious! The cut fruits were also beautiful and very fresh. Our first experience awesome drinks, one creamy and one zesty and refreshing. We liked the drinks so much that we actually decided to stop in the next day after a grocery run. He got the matcha latte (50% sweetness) and I the Strawberry Sago (L). His matcha was not very sweet, but the matcha flavor was good and the consistency was excellent- no grittiness and the ratio of matcha to milk was excellent. My Strawberry Sago was fantastic- the drink itself was like a very fresh (not too sweet, but sweet enough to be refreshing) strawberry smoothie with more of those delicious Sago pearls. Both drinks were delicious in their own ways! As for the service, while on the second day our drinks took longer, all of the employees are friendly and hardworking- there were about 17 orders on the screen when I placed my order and our drinks still came out within 10 minutes. The staff serving drinks to customers also made sure to greet and thank everyone that came in. We've always had a good experience here, even through their grand opening! If you want some legit Asian drinks (ie not sugar laden syrupy concoctions), this is it. I actually really like the self-order kiosks as you can see a lot here ways you can customize the drinks AND they also list what they recommend for each drink. You can also order ahead of time online, which I also love. Once you place your order, you can track it via text/online and/or they have a screen that gives you an ETA on drinks. Bonus - you can pick up last minute grocery items at TJ while you wait! Came here on a Monday night as a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. Wife and I ordered the Wintermelon Lemonade (100% sweetness, less ice), Red Bean Sago Latte (50% recommended sweetness) and the Sugar Cane Mountain (100% sweetness, no ice). Wintermelon lemonade was refreshing, and not too sweet or overwhelmingly caramely from the Wintermelon flavor. Red Bean Sago Latte could have been a little sweeter but was a good balance of red bean and sago in every sip. Wife has a sweet tooth and would have wanted it a bit sweeter. It reminded her of a popular Vietnamese dessert - Chè ba màu (three-color dessert). Sugar Cane Mountain was ordered for the next day, hence the no-ice very tasty. It was listed as a seasonal item so we had to try it as we are not in Tempe area very often. Plus we really enjoy sugar cane drinks. This one however is mixed with their tea which surprisingly compliments the sugar cane flavor very well!
