More of a 3.5/5 stars for me, but because my partner really loves Nomad Boba, I'll bump it up a little. Nomad Boba is a cozy Vietnamese inspired boba shop with cute honeycomb and bee style decor. There is seating inside on some couches. I would say it's best served for smaller groups of 2-3 people if they're not busy. The owner has always been pleasant, and it's usually just him running the shop, so you may have to wait a tiny bit to place your order if he's making drinks. Nomad Boba definitely leans on the sweeter side for boba shops. I'm typically a 25% sugar level kind of boba drinker, but I have consistently found Nomad Boba way too sweet for me even at 25% sugar level. I'm also not the biggest fan of their matcha blends. For drinks, I would highly recommend their Thai teas. They offer different blends of Thai teas! It's up there for one of the better Thai teas I've had in Arizona so far. What's interesting is that their Thai tea is a little smoky. I love it for that intrigue. Nomad Boba is a little difficult to find in the Culdesac if you're not looking for it. You have to walk toward street side to find it. They offer some fun drinks that other boba shops don't, so it's definitely worth checking out at least once. read more

There are a lot of boba places in Tempe so it's hard to choose a new one to try. No matter - Nomad Boba is the answer! I've never been to the Cul-de-sac but it was a super cool area. Parking is available in the lot or along Apache street. Nomad Boba is a tiny shop but the inside is cute and has some loungy couches to wait for your drinks. The menu at Nomad was more unique than most boba places I've frequented with some interesting combinations. That led me to the blueberry matcha latte. The flavor combination was fantastic and very well balanced. The boba itself was a nice texture and it was FRESH. Everyone in my party really enjoyed their drinks. I will be back for sure. read more

Such a cute boba place! I love how they are located at the Culdesac, so it's nice to grab a drink then walk around to the different small businesses here. When we walked in, we were greeted immediately. The shop itself is small, but it's aesthetically decorated with lots of greenery. We ordered the coconut matcha and the salted caramel matcha, and both were so delicious. I did notice they were hand whisking all of their matchas as orders came in, which is why their drinks taste amazing! This place easily became one of my top favorite places for matcha around the area. I will be happily coming back soon :) read more

Arrived here on a Sunday. Super slow and chill. Not busy at all which was nice. Located in the Culdesac area is a Vietnamese inspired boba shop. Cute decor and nice comfy seats for relaxing. I got the strawberry matcha. Very creamy drink. Not too sweet, just right with no adjustments. They do offer milk alternatives. No bathrooms. Helpful employees. Nomad Boba is located on the north side of Culdesac Community in Tempe. There's street parking out front on Apache Blvd and in a lot by Busan Mart. I ordered the Smooth Ube Latte Boba without caffeine. I forgot to modify the sweetness but it was just right! Good ice to boba ratio. I liked my wife's Strawberry Matcha as well! They've got a butterfly garden theme going on inside. There's a long couch that seats 8-9 people and an ottoman that can seat 4. There wasn't any seating outside but plenty throughout the Culdesac Community. Service was quick and friendly! Can't wait to come back and try a bahn mi! read more

Located at the culdesac, this boba spot offers teas, boba, matcha, milk shakes and even Vietnamese sandwiches. We ordered the coconut matcha and salted caramel matcha. The shop is small and cozy with excellent service. Unfortunately there isn't any outdoor seating. Would go again to try out something different. read more

Nomad Boba was a total hit with my sister and I. We love to try new boba spots when we get together and we were so excited to stumble upon this shop. Despite ordering very different drinks (me with a lavender matcha boba and my sister with a brown sugar boba), we were both very pleased with our beverages and their flavors. Located on the edge of the Culdesac community, Nomad Boba is a Vietnamese-inspired boba shop situated alongside a walkable hub of boutiques. This little cafe has a beautiful interior with an excellent lineup of creative Viet coffee drinks, iced teas, and milk teas. We tried the coconut coffee boba--which has a great coconut cream and flake topping with perfectly chewy boba--and a creamy tiramisu coffee latte. Both were great with strong coffee (my preference!) and less sweetness upon request. The owner is super nice. He's a recent college grad who made sure our drinks tasted great and the boba was properly cooked. The business has been open for about two weeks, so I'd definitely recommend trying them out, giving them some support, and walking around Culdesac with a great drink in hand! read more

Phenomenal drinks and sandwiches. I had just gotten back from Saigon and wanted to see if there were any similar tasting places nearby. This place exceeded all expectations. I ordered their Vietnamese Egg coffee and subbed for the Salt foam. Also ordered their Chicken Banh Mi. Honestly just as good as you could get abroad. Quang provided five star level service. I ordered for pickup and he filled the salt foam as I walked in and offered to reheat the sandwich. I say better than Lee Lee's. Will be back for sure read more

Such a cute spot. Really hard to find for first timers but overall a good experience. I ordered the strawberry matcha boba and a flan and some cheese bites which were really good, however I did ask for a bag to but my items in and they didn't have any. The strawberry was delicious, and the matcha was on point. The employee was very resourceful and gave me a home depot one he had aside to accommodate me. The drink itself was pretty good. The boba was a bit harder than I was hoping but good. I wish they had pictures or better detail. I didn't realize till after I ordered that yelp had pictures of certain drinks. This is one of my favorite boba places! I love that they have fun unique drinks that I haven't seen elsewhere. My favorite is the coconut ube drink- coconut water mixed with ube. It's so good! Guyssss! So good omg I got the Thai tea two tone (blue color) the tea was very authentic and I can say that since my step mom is from Thailand and she made me Thai tea since I was 10. I highly recommend coming here for your bobba because the flavors are great and authentic. The owner was so sweet and kind and explained everything from how they make their flavors to how they came up with these recipes. I love the ube flavored latte as well! If I didn't have to drive up from Tucson to get this I would be here weekly! It's a small business so I enjoy them more than Nihao. Ambiance is very cutesy very demure. i worked at a boba shop for years and it's been hard to find a good boba shop. this place is super good. i had the brown sugar milk tea and the milk was sweet and had sea salt in it too! the owner was very nice and patient while i was ordering . the place is marked wrong on the map which is annoying but not the owners fault! read more

The atmosphere was beautiful, it gives a very calming/chill vibe. Totally recommend if you're going on a date. Relaxing seating area, with a view of the busy street. Stopped by for a work day treat based on former boba shop employee's review and was not disappointed. Google map told me to turn into the apartment complex parking lot. If you go straight East on Apache instead, there is super convenient parallel parking on Apache right in front of the door. Ideal. There were some students there when I arrived. A nice girl greeted me as soon as I walked in. I really like the lighting here. LEDs at all levels that would be really flattering for photos. Small modern seating area was a cozy place to sit whilst waiting under 10 minutes. I relocated from San Francisco where I was spoiled by excellent boba, so my expectations were high. My matcha latte 25% sugar, 25% ice, sub coconut milk with boba was a little bit of heaven. I highly recommend this place and will be back. read more

The store was hard to find, the location was pinned wrong in the maps, but I called and a gentleman helped me find the store. We ordered 3 small drinks, 2 milk tea and an energy drink to try it out. From the time we scanned to pay to receiving our drinks 30 minutes had passed. There was only one girl working who seemed new. I asked if the Ube drink had coffee and it took a while to get an answer and she was also struggling to make the drinks. Honestly not sure why she was left alone to run the shop when she was still learning. She said the energy drink was Red Bull mixed with flavor but to my husband's disappointment it didn't taste like Red Bull. Once I finished the milk tea, the boba was just clumped in the bottom in one big soggy ball. There was another couple that walked in after we had just ordered and they ended up leaving because the wait was so long. The shop had some couches, and no wi-fi.
