Wow, just wow. I visited Shibam Coffee for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and found parking next door in a small parking garage structure. There is about only 10 Shibam customer spots, and be careful to not park in staff parking or "The District" future resident parking, as there are tow away signs. The sign said 1 hour parking only, but I'm not sure how strictly this is enforced. The inside is beautifully decorated, and the space is rather small but well-used. There are tables, booths, stools, and free wifi and water for those who came to study/do work. When I arrived, there were students studying and older folks socializing, but I was still able to easily find seating with an outlet! I opted for a Latte specialty, specifically the Shibam Latte in frappe form and sweet foam on top. It was served in a beautiful and branded beer-can glass cup. The taste was mesmerizing, decadent, and unique, incorporating many different spices that blended perfectly together. Next time I visit, I'm excited to try the Shibam Latte in its original latte form as well as the Pistachio latte! Amazing find near the ASU campus.

Shibam Coffee is easily my favorite late-night cafe in the valley, serving shareable kettles of Yemeni coffee all the way through midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. The drink that keeps me coming back is the Mufawar, which is a creamy cardamom coffee -- not super strong but perfect for an after-dark hangout. It's also become a (delicious) habit of mine to grab a pastry each time I visit. The pistachio cheesecake is so simple and affordable, yet tasty and topped with real chopped pistachios. They also have well-spiced samosas, baklava, Dubai chocolate cakes, and more. There are only about five dedicated spots in the back, which gets filled quickly at night, but you can usually snag street parking if you arrive before 8pm or so. Shibam has a good amount of seating for a fairly small space -- and they once even brought out an extra table -- so don't let the busyness deter you!

Super cute Yemeni coffee shop with some unique flavors. The service was fast and friendly. I got an iced Yemeni Date latte and it was really good. I really like dates and I do wish the date flavor was a little stronger, this is probably not a shared preference though. The coffee shop was cute and cozy with some tables but still limited seating. When I went all the tables and seats were full. The parking was not fun. There is street parking, but I have noticed that it is typically full. There are 2 Shibam Coffee owned parking spots next to the parking garage behind the shop. I had to drive around twice until I was able to park. I would more recommend this shop if you are walking distance or okay with taking the streetcar, just so you can avoid dealing with parking. Overall it was great coffee and ai recommend everyone try it atleast once.

Really good coffee! I was here for a short visit and I was pleased with my experience. I'd say a new go to spot whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful spot! The coffee was absolutely stellar. We ordered a small size Kettle serving of the Mufawar and it was perfect for 3. I love that you can really taste the spices in the coffee and the presentation was stunning. It's on the smaller side in there since it's located in the heart of Tempe where all the dorms are but they have wifi which is also convenient for getting a little work done. The staff is super warm and helpful if you aren't sure what to pick. Parking is rather small but I'm sure you can also find parking in the surrounding area. I am still dreaming of this coffee, I will definitely be returning. Hoping they continue to grow and expand because we need more Yemeni coffee experiences!

A very enthusiastic 5 stars for this beautiful Yemeni coffee shop! The decor is striking and inviting. Love the traditional music, and it's played at a very reasonable level where you can comfortably come here and study if you wish to do so. Service was very friendly and attentive. The menu has Middle-Eastern treats, tea and coffee (sustainably sourced!) If you're sensitive to caffeine, they sadly do not have decaf coffee options but they will have smoothies and decaf teas for you. Metered parking outside which can be tricky sometimes, though we had no problem finding a spot right in front of the building on a Saturday afternoon.

Drink: I got the Shibam coffee and it was delicious Service: everyone was kind Ambiance: such a beautiful and unique coffee shop. Perfect way to embrace different parts of the world Parking: they have parking in the apartment complex but the shop is facing Apache Blvd

I was in Tempe to explore some coffee shop and stopped by this one. First, the aesthetics are really cute and I enjoyed their pumpkin spice mocha latte. Given it's around ASU, it will probably be busy around exam times, so it may be easier to go in the mornings. Other than that, I'll come back here.

Amazing! Love it! So good. The barista was so nice. The decor is really pretty too. Drinks were delicious!! My friend got the Moroccan mint tea that was well balanced. I had the shibam latte with oatmilk and loved it! Will be back.

One of my favorite cafes in AZ. It's a small locally owned shop and the owner is really nice. The Adeni tea here is amazing! This place is usually packed and hardly any space to sit but definitely worth trying.

Located below a hotel building it might be hard to see but theres decent street parking and designated parking in the lot inside the building. The lady that took my order was very kind and pleasant. This coffee really made my day it was and iced turkish coffee with milk and cardamom and lightly sweetened. Heaven! I wish California had more places like this. The decor and ambiance is also very nice and fitting.

*located on the ground floor of an apartment building. You will see an opening to the left (or right of the entrance depending on which direction you are coming from) you can drive into. Directly in front of you, you will see parking for the apt rental office but if you turn left there are free spots for Shibam you can park in. Otherwise there are metered parking spots all around. My friend and I went on a Monday morning around 11. We were greeted when we walked in by two baristas and the owner Ammar. There was only one other customer so Ammar could take his time answering our questions and telling us all about Shibam and the Yemeni coffee/drinks. The place isn't huge but it's not tiny either. About five tables plus stools at the bar, along the window and a cozy corner nook. Plus a couple chairs in front of the gorgeous wall that's instagrammy for me.Lols It's cozy but I could also see it being full if it's a busy day. Maybe in the near future he can put some tables and chairs outside. But everything you see there from the floor tiles, lights, decor, to the counter tiles were chosen with care as well as made in a different country. Like the floor tiles are from Turkey. I think he said the counter tiles were from Spain? Ammar def wanted to make it feel like a cultural experience while holding on to his Yemeni roots. He also plans to sell coffee bags in the near future. The menu was enticing and has a good variety of something for everyone. I liked that he had drinks for kids and non coffee drinkers too (since I'm not a huge coffee drinker but I like the occasional treat). My friend and I got the Sicilian pistachio latte, organic date latte, Shibam latte and Hojicha - all iced. Two of the drinks we were bringing back to our husbands. Make sure you stir your drinks first, I didn't and it slapped me in the face bc it was so strong. Lols But after I stirred them and took some sips. Delish. The pistachio and organic dates were my fave. It's def strong but enough yummy sweetness to make me happy. My husband liked the organic date latte. We also got the honeycomb, lentil and beef sambusas, tres leches cake, and Turkish milk baklavas. I liked them all but my friend wasn't too crazy about the wet baklavas and tres leches cake. So I will say, if you don't like "wet" desserts or can't take dairy you won't like the tres leches cake and baklavas. I've never had baklavas drizzled with milk but it worked for me. Just make sure you eat it right away otherwise the bottom gets soggy. Not good to take to go. The filling inside the sambusas were good, I liked the beef a lil more. Make sure to ask for them warm as well as the honeycomb. Oh and I also got a mojito refresher to go to share with my kids. It was refreshing and tasty! I was surprised it was carbonated, which I don't usually care for but I liked it! Overall, we enjoyed everything and it was a pleasure to meet Ammar. We had a fun time taking pictures and just relaxing with our treats. I'd def come back!

Just visited this place and it was an unique experience. The aroma of freshly brewed yemeni coffee fills the air as soon as we walk in. Their qishr (spiced coffee although I am not a big fan) and Mofawar ( creamy yemeni latte) are must try. The quick bites are equally good , flaky Malawah bread with honey and cream was yum and subtle. Adeni Shai is more of like our Indian Masala chai which is good and comforting.. Those who doesnt like spices in coffee can try Pistachio Latte, which I am gonna try during my next visit. They have their dedicated parking area.

Service was non-existent and poor. Cashiers looked like they did not want to be there; they were out of strawberries which is a staple in a bunch of their cones. Cashier didn't make any recommendations to other ice cream cones of modifications to make the cones work in place of missing strawberries. I had to ask a few times to figure out if I could get a certain cone without strawberries. I got the Cheesecake Cone, it was good but very messy. I'd recommend sitting down to eat. I wasn't give a napkin or spoons but you definitely need it especially if it get hotter. The price is up there for a singular cone it's about $11, they also have optional tipping that doesn't feel optional. The restaurant is clean, but lacking in keeping you around. They have tables you can stand around outside, but the objective inside seems like to get you ice cream and get out; I'm sure it makes sense during busier times. All in all it's good, just not great. I'd come in again and when I do I hope the customer service is better.
