Looks like fruit and brown sugar bubble tea is the latest trend sweeping the city. Parking is available on the side streets. The interior looks almost Japanese, with the wood. Pretty nice looking I must say. There's a neat looking fruit mural on the wall. There's also a wall of flavours. Bubble teas are $4-7. A wee bit pricey, but they include real chunks of fruit which is definitely nice. The bubble teas are quite tasty. Guess all that brown sugar makes a difference. Personally I wouldn't mind coming back, though a few other similar bubble tea places are also popping up around town. read more

Super excited to see this awesome bubble tea place open up in my neighbourhood (but also a little bummed to see that it replaced icy bar!!) Came here at 6:50pm without realizing that the brown sugar latte would start selling at 7pm. We were helped by the workers for the 10 mins we waited there, and they explained to us the difference between the brown sugar latte (uses a tea bag/m- has caffeine) and brown sugar milk (only uses milk- no caffeine). They also provided us with some recommendations and were super friendly and patient in answering our questions. As it neared 7pm, more people began to fill the store up, and we were all just sitting down and waiting for the workers to start taking orders. When 6:59pm rolled around, the workers specifically acknowledged us and gestures to take our order first! So kind *_* The drinks came out very quickly after we ordered. The pearls were SUPER DUPER fresh and it was very warm which nicely contrasted the cold latte. The pearls were also perfectly cooked, it wasn't too chewy nor mushy, and was very smooth when I drank and ate it. One thing is that I wish I could control the sweetness of the drink or the size of the drink as I found the size to be too much for me to finish. But overall, really enjoyed my visit and I'm really eager to come back to try the other recommended items! read more

Another week, another Yi Fang to try. This one on Kingsway is right beside Icy Bar. ShareTea is also across the street so lots of BBT competition. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (around 2:00pm) and had the whole place to ourselves. It's small inside but there's about three tables and a couple benches to sit at. Our drinks came out within 5 minutes of ordering. Drinks options are the same as their other locations although there seemed to be a couple new combinations. - Jinfeng roselle lemon slice juice ($5.50) - you can't customize this the sugar level but we opted for 30% ice. B found it sweet but I liked it. Smooth and floral; tasted like juice. - Grass jelly tea latte ($6.25) - nothing special about this drink (we opted for 50% sugar and 30% ice). Grass jelly did not taste nor looked homemade. Very mediocre. Wouldn't order it again. - Puli passion fruit green tea ($5.50) - O also added aiyu jelly ($1.00) but found the passion fruit a tad too tart for her liking. I had a sip and liked it; they use real seeds so expect that slight tartness. The aiyu jelly was also excellent. - Yifang fruit tea ($6.50) - S's order and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Tried this place out for the first time. Right when we walked in around 2:30pm, the cashier told us the brown sugar pearl latte was still available... crazy how they are used to selling out by this time. I ordered it since YiFang is known for the brown sugar pearls. I was sad you weren't able to customize it, I wanted to change the ice and sweetness. My friend ordered the black tea with aiyu jelly. Got our drinks within 5 minutes because there was no one else in the shop. The place overall is really clean with tables and benches on the side. There is no free WiFi. The presentation of the boba is nice. When I took my first sip, I wasn't amazed. The milk tea tasted bland. I don't think the tea was potent enough, it almost tasted watered down. The boba was still warm which was fine. I could slightly taste the brown sugar on the boba but it just mixes into the drink anyways. The pearls were wayyyy too chewy for my liking. It does come with a lot. My friends' black tea was good, but also way too sweet as regular 100%. I would come back to try another flavor. Just not the brown sugar, not worth the $$. read more

One of my fave bbt places to go to even in Vancouver. I often linger the Yi Fang shops in Southeast Asia. They opened up a few franchises here in BC. I am very glad they did. My goto drink is Yi Fang Signature Fruit tea and Winter melon with grass jelly tea. Fiance and I have visited this YiFang location on two occasions. The first time was awhile ago.. we stopped by and tried their signature drink, which is the Brown Sugar Soft Pearl Latte. Neither of us are huge brown sugar milk tea fans, but this drink was decent. On our second visit, fiance got the Pineapple Green Tea with pearls. The Pineapple Green Tea was pretty good, but would get it sweeter next time (we got 30%, so would try 50% next time). I chose the Mango Pomelo Sago Slush. I really liked it. Super refreshing.. a great summer drink! The only thing though, was it needed to be blended more, as I was sipping small chunks of ice in the beginning. Overall, the drinks are decent.. but YiFang isn't our first choice when it comes to bubble tea. May come back to get the Mango Slush drink again before summer ends. read more

The presentation is good, but the signature fruit tea is too sweet even though I asked for only 30% sugar. They also go our order wrong and the wait was wayyyy too long - took half an hour of wait to get three cups of tea. The service seems very disorganized and chaotic. One of my favorite bubble tea places around the area. Great place to grab a brown sugar pearl milk or latte. They usually make them around 3 and 7 PM. It gets busy around that time with lineups. Try to go earlier or they will sell out fast. Prices are a tad more expensive than other bubble tea places but that's because they use real tea / organic milk. Hard to find parking around the area (in my opinion). They accept cash and debit only. read more

Drinks were terrible today. They ran out of pearls at 4:30pm so I ordered two Red Bean Black Tea Lattes which barely had any red bean. I was drinking my fresh taro green milk tea yesterday night and heard something funny when I tried to suck up my taro bites in the drink, and it turned out to be a metal SCREW that was in the bottom of the bubble tea. This is definitely dangerous and I am glad it wasn't my young child that was drinking the bbt. The store needs more training on their food safety practices. Not great first experience at yi fang. I visited this location specifically for their matcha specials (black sugar pearl matcha latte, black sugar pearl oolong, and matcha latte) over the long weekend, and was told both black sugar pearl drinks were sold out. Employee said we could only pick the matcha latte (which did not include pearls), and proceeded to charge me extra for pearls. I tried to reason that the other two drinks have pearls and are the same price, but employees did not care and insisted on the charge. I feel like I'm missing something. I've been to this yifang twice already and each time I feel disappointed. I ordered their brown sugar latte And their winter melon milk tea and both were too watery and really just average at best. I had a taste of their lemon fruit drinks and they were decently flavoured but still a bit sweet but I still feel like its undeserving of its high ratings compared to coco, onezo and cha time. Super long lines, pricey drinks. The Brown Sugar drink is overhyped in my opinion, but I do have friends who love it. Not the "traditional" kind of pearls you usually find out there (these are more like Taiwanese Fen Yuans, which are smaller and less Q), so may be a hit or miss. But for me I will not be lining up for their drinks again. Fruit tea drinks are good but again, line is too long for what it is. Can find better elsewhere. read more

I am trying to find the Coquittlam location in Korean Village to write about. I hope you can let them know of my very bad experience today. I love the YiFang bubble tea from a few of your locations and have had the tea at the Korean Village location several times. However today I had very poor customer experience. I had asked for pearls in the two but they forgot them. When I went back up to the counter there was no apology and they gave me the pearls in a speared sealed cup. I asked if the pearls could be combined and the person in the back argued with me saying it's not possible. I asked a second time and finally they did it but charged me extra for the pearls even though it was paid for and I tipped upon paying the first time. Unfortunately the person helping me did not seem to care or apologize. I will probably go back again to this location but next time I will only order from the manager.
