Because we were scheduled to travel first thing the next morning, we wanted to get answers and treatment as quickly as possible. We suspected strep throat and took him to our regular pediatrician, where a rapid strep test was performed around 1:00 p.m. Unfortunately, hours passed without any results or follow-up, leaving us anxious and unsure of how to proceed before our trip. Then Dr. Nassif stepped in and completely changed the situation. At 7:30 on a Friday night, when many physicians would have already been home for the weekend, she welcomed us into her office, personally evaluated my son, administered a rapid test, and within minutes provided a diagnosis. Even more importantly, she immediately arranged for the necessary medication so that my son could begin treatment, feel better, and be ready to travel the next morning. The level of care, compassion, and dedication we experienced was extraordinary. Dr. Nassif didn't just treat an illness--she alleviated a tremendous amount of stress for our entire family. Her willingness to help after hours, her efficiency, and her genuine concern for her patients went far beyond anything we have ever experienced in pediatric care. In a world where exceptional customer service and personalized medical care can sometimes feel hard to find, Dr. Nassif is a shining example of what healthcare should be. I would highly suggest you go elsewhere if you want your child to be treated by a team who cares about their well being. Our insurance recently changed, but we continued to go to this office and pay 100% out of pocket. However our last two visits were so expensive we began the process of finding a new doctor. We are not meeting with this new doctor until the summer when they are available, but we asked Pediatric Care to send over medical records in the meantime. During our last appointment to have my youngest's stitches removed, we asked Dr. Gloria to look at some warts on my older daughter's hand. She said that she could prescribe a specific medicine in the future if needed, but that we can just leave it for now and it will go away. Well, they did not go away, and have now spread to my youngest and her outbreak is far worse. We reached back out to Pediatric Care and asked them to prescribe the medicine Dr. Gloria had previously referenced. They said they would not help us since we had asked for our records to be sent to another doctor. We asked for a Telehealth visit, but they rudely said they would not do this because our case is closed. A Telehealth visit has been their standard for any bump, bruise, or other rash we were concerned about in the past, and allowed us to see the doctor immediately rather than waiting for an appointment. We were clearly being punished for planning to go to a doctor who took our insurance. We reiterated that we could not get into the new doctor until the summer and needed a fast appointment due to the rapidly spreading virus (that they had not resolved the first time we brought it to them), and after much pushback from us, the office assistant very rudely told us that we could schedule to come in for another visit and they could let us know at the appointment if they could do anything. We could not afford to pay our average out of pocket cost of $300 for an appointment just to see if they'd be willing to help us or write a prescription, and also could not wait for an appointment due to the rapidly spreading nature, so we were forced to go elsewhere. They were very clearly done caring about my children or our family despite years of seeing them, and we are extremely disappointed and disheartened by their attitude, extreme hostility from the office staff, and inability of the doctor to resolve the issue when we first brought it to them.

I admit I was running about 5 minutes late... tell me why at 3:53 this doctors office is locked! Call the number and it states office closes at 4:30pm. Pounded on the door and out runs Mel. She states.... oh you weren't here at 3:45 so doctor left. WHAT???????? I drove from Mililani all the way to his Kapiolani Medical Center office only for you to tell me he left??? Couldn't wait 15 to see if I would show?? Mel did call me while I was parking at 3:43 but either the call dropped or she hung up. Called her right back but no answer. She said she was about to go check the mail that's why the office was locked? Really? This doctor chose to leave the office knowing he had a patient to see. Maybe they seen what kind of insurance we had and decided to be prejudicial and not waste his time. On top of that Mel said they do not validate parking??? Y'all yelpers know almost every parking in town is paid parking.. so for them not to validate parking for an appointment they scheduled and only for the doctor to leave? She had the nerve to tell me I wasn't there at 3:30 to fill out paperwork. Oh please... my scheduled appointment was for 3:45. She also had the nerve to tell me I'm suppose to follow up with primary care doctor bc they don't take new patients. Location: Dr Keith Abe's office is located in Hale Pawa'a. Fairly new medical building on the corner of Beretania and Keeaumoku St. To enter this building you want to be in the far left hand lane coming down Beretania, and its going to be right before the left turn to go on to Keeaumoku St. Parking: Is a bit of a tight garage, so don't bring your super lifted vehicles. We kept our ticket with us and they validated our parking in the office. I believe we were here maybe an hour or more and didn't pay more than $2 with our validation. Definitely cheap for downtown!! Office: Is beautiful, lovely view of our concrete jungle Honolulu. Seating is wonderful open airy, not stuffy and on top of each other like some offices. It is definitely a large office. Wonderful area for the kids to watch shows, or play with toys. Beautiful book selection as well. Front Desk: The office staff are absolutely sensational!! They all, each and every one there, you can tell love their job!! My second son was born 2 years later and she came to visit us every single day since he was born while we stayed in the hospital, some days she even came TWICE! Hand sanitizer is sitting at the front desk, and there are sinks with soap in each room. Each exam room is decorated with a different Disney themed wallpaper. The Star Wars room is our kids' personal favorite, and they love to play "I spy" while we wait to see the doctor. The Disney stickers offered at the end of their appointments are a sweet cherry on top! Safety measures taken by the staff: masks, gloves, patients wait in the exam rooms (not in the waiting room), front door is left open. They even have masks and other kid friendly items for purchase up front. We have to make the drive from Mililani to Kahala for visits, but it is well worth the drive. Yep, if you see kids coming out of the hospital with balloons, I believe it may have come from his office!
