My friends and I ordered a TON of food from here on New Years Day and we were not disappointed. Our food was delivered right on time and it was hot and ready to be devoured. The fried rice, sweet and spiced tofu, and veggie lo-mein were all delicious. The tofu didn't arrive as crispy as I had hoped, possibly because it sat it the sauce a bit too long while being delivered. I would definitely order here again. read more

My boyfriend really likes Chinese food, so one night he gets the craving for some sweet and sour chicken. I dig that, but I wasn't as hungry, so we snoop around and look for delivery. This was the place we happened to choose. I order chicken fried rice. It was pretty terrible. The chicken was rubbery and I am not convinced it was chicken. It was very strong and almost fishy. My boyfriend didn't seem to hate his food, but it was by no means the best sweet and sour chicken he's ever had. The chicken at least tasted like chicken. Just kind of below-average quality. The food tastes very rich and fresh. I ordered a refridgerated plate that was pre-made. I paid with my EBT card, and they heat the food for free. There is a comfortable seating area with booths. The radio above was playing mellow fun music from early 2000's. They have a large TV in the corner and quarter machines at the door for toys. You can get popsicles here too $1.19 for a popsicle and $8.99 for the plate I got. read more

This place has got to be the worst Asian Restaurant in Tucson, stopped in today for the first time, the food is not prepared fresh, the fried rice was in a container on the buffet, and the cashier tried to convince me that my beef and broccoli was just freshly made, I walked around the bare store for 2 min and my meal was ready, I asked the cashier how could he have made my food that quickly, she insisted that he had just made my food??? No food smell in the place ,got home the rice was old, cold and disgusting, and the beef and broccoli was wrapped in plastic wrap, beef was tough,. This place has some good food. We did an online order, left the house, and our food was ready to go by the time we got there. We ordered the kung pao beef and the sesame chicken and we were not disappointed with the amount of food we received. Definitely more than satisfactory for the price! Our food wasn't the best we've ever had, but it was still pretty darn good. The staff was friendly and got everything right in our order. November 9th...The second and last time we'll order from this place. I ordered online for delivery. And since decent Chinese delivery places are few and far between in Tucson, this place is about the only one that delivers in our area. Anyway, about a half hour after I ordered, they called to say my husband's debit card wouldn't work. There was no reason it shouldn't have worked, so I repeated the number to him and asked that he try it again, and then one more time. Still didn't work. I decided to try my card, same account, but it worked. Weird? Yeah, I thought so, too. So two hours after I placed the original order online, they finally show up. I signed the receipt but didn't get a copy (which in hindsight, I should have. I'll explain in a minute.) The food was lukewarm, the egg flower soup had canned mushrooms, blech. The chicken lo mein had a few pieces of chicken and the noodles were more like spaghetti noodles. Both were pretty bland. I have to say the fried rice, egg rolls and crab puffs were decent, though. But those things aren't too hard to screw up! All in all, it was pretty disappointing and not worth a two-hour wait. Fast forward to today, my husband messages me from work, asking what Yin Yang is because there are charges on our bank account. I tell him that's the Chinese food we got a while back and ask why? He said, "well, they charged us $110.68!" Our order was nowhere near that amount, of course. It was under $30. So the "issues" they were having with the debit card, obviously, were not on our end and resulted in a massive overcharge! What really irks me is they didn't catch their own error and correct it. Now we have to deal with calling the restaurant and our bank and I'm sure it will take a couple of days to refund our account. It's just a good thing we're not hurting for funds and this didn't cause bank fees and/or prevent us from paying bills or buying groceries! I don't know why this place has such bad reviews. Everything was super tasty and delivered on time. The War Wonton Soup was fantastic and we will definitely order it again. The Chicken Lettuce wraps were amazing and Pad Thai was very tasty. Throw in some free potstickers and it was an all around amazing meal. Will order from Yin Yang Express again! read more

This place is all right. Ever since they closed China View Bistro, I have hit the regular Chinese buffets without any luck. This place isn't buffet, but I figured what the hell. I liked it, I probably wont be in a hurry to go again because it's on the opposite side of town. If I get a hankering for Chinese and I'm in the area, I will definetly go back. Sesame Chicken had plenty of chicken and fresh broccoli and decent white rice. Price was $7.99. Probably higher than expected for a little place like this Don't be fooled by the "Free Food November 3rd" sign on the outside. I asked and the guy said it's been there for years. What a tactic eh? Also the soda fountain machine was broken. While you are there it is primarily a convienece store, you can get regular items along the traditional asian products and liqour. Our first order was OK. My daughter's teriyaki tofu lomein was good. The fried rice tasted very fishy. The rest of the order was alright. Today, our second order, was incorrect and, although they sent replacement noodles, nothing was quite right. Seems this place is very hit and miss. I'm not going to bother again. read more

The beef fried rice had a fishy taste to it, which I did not like. I added in their red chile sauce hoping to maybe drown out the taste. Unfortunately the taste got worse. The sauce tasted VERY old and like dust. Now I sit here at home with lunch I do not want to eat. *Sigh*...I will not be returning to this place again. read more

We didn't get our fried rice with our delivery order. When I called she said the cook forgot to make it.. it took 35 more minutes to arrive and they are 1 mile from us. Wow, could Chinese food be any worse? I think not! It was overall bland, but the worst part was that we'd ordered cashew chicken, and without telling us, they substituted the cashews with peanuts. It was horrible. Since it was a to go order, we didn't discover that until we were home. Most of the food ended up in the trash, and I'm not someone who likes to waste food. I'll eat even average stuff, but this was nasty. We will NEVER go there again. read more

We found it terribly bland, very soggy and of poor quality and freshness. The only thing we enjoyed, though very tough and overcooked, was Gen Tso Chicken. Unfortunately, I bit into a pebble and my spouse got a mouthful of sandy bits. Not recommended. read more

I really don't know what people are talking about when they say this place is good. I ordered their "popular" dishes and have to say this is probably the worst food I've ever had. Not even exaggerating the fried rice is bland, over cooked, just god awful. And that was the best thing that I had. Their house chow Mein tasted very strange and their generals chicken was dry, tasted old and didn't even have a good flavor. The only part of my meal I was satisfied with was the soda I ordered which was able to wash down the other flavors. Literally forced myself to eat half the fried rice and threw the rest away. Burnt food, wrong protein received (person was highly allergic to the protein that was received), and no sauce. Was treated HORRIBLY when I called to complain. Interrupted, talked over and hung up on. Had to make multiple calls to get someone "in charge" on the phone (turned out to be the cashier passing as the manager since there was no supervisor or manager on site). Third time we have ordered delivery. The food was delicious. Not greasy, not soggy, not overly salty. The food is really fresh and tasty.

I placed an online order at around 1pm simple order BBQ ribs and veggies 2 egg rolls after receiving order confirmation email it said I should receive my Oder within an hour. Didn't happen after an hour twenty they call me to tell me they don't have the lemonade I ordered. So it took the a total of one hour fourty minutes for me to receive my order there was no meat in the dish just a bunch of over cooked veggies when I called to complain the manager just flat out hung up on me this was my first and last order from this place. Ok I get it this is not a any star restaurant but I have gotten better service from jimmy johns and they don't charge $2 for delivery read more

10/21/2019 Placed a $70 delivery order from Yin Yang express ( ORDER #14108103) on October 20th 2019 at 4:30pm. At 5:51 pm i called to inquire about my order and was told it just left. After waiting ANOTHER 1/2 hour i called again since they are 2 miles away. This time i was told that the order was almost ready to leave. At 6:41pm it was delivered. Total Wait time: 2HRS 16MIN. Never called or updated on the late delivery. PAID A $2.99 DELIVERY CHARGE. When it arrived NONE of the entrees had the container of White rice that it supposed to come with. NOT ONE. All the chicken entrees were really Tough and stringy and had a funny taste. DEF avoid their Chicken. Fried rice was prob deep fried. Lo Mein was really soft and overcooked. We asked for crab puffs and they sent excessive oil laden dripping eggrolls. stingy meat portions. No condiments except 5 packets of soy sauce.. Not acceptable. Filed a complaint with the BBB even though their not a member. This place was f**king horrible got halfway through my meal bit into a partially raw piece of chicken immediately made me throw up... I call and contact the manager who refused to do anything about it saying it was impossible for this to happen... Didn't touch the other part of the meal in fear that my gf who is pregnant might ingest raw chicken which is obviously harmful to my unborn child... The manager then went on to tell me to take the food to him after I just explained I threw my food up he wanted me to take my vomit to him and prove it had raw chicken in it... I order the food online and picked it up myself. The location was somewhat odd and split up (one part was doing taxes) and another part was the restaurant. As far as the food, it was "Meh." Their food is OK not great, their ability to include what you ask for in an order is abysmal. Every time I've ordered delivery I ask for a cup or two of hot mustard because I love hot mustard, it's my favorite condiment for Asian food. They've only included it once. I've even called in and asked them to put it in their computer as a preference when I order to always include at least one cup of hot mustard and they still don't. I put in a note on an order for no sweet and sour with the crab puffs but please include two hot mustard instead. I get double sweet and sour sauce and no hot mustard. I started putting notes on each item when I order online, and in the overall order notes. I've called in afterwards to follow up and ask that they please don't forget it and I still can't get a simple cup of hot mustard. When I call them they just say they'll put in the computer again, oh they don't see any notes, the last person didn't do it right. If I'm lucky I'll get a half-hearted sorry. If I get upset because it's ridiculous that a restaurant can't get this simple thing right repeatedly? "Calm down, it wasn't my fault I didn't package your order, you have no right to be upset with me". No one there will accept responsibility, every employee I've talked to has been apathetic and in a couple of cases were pretty damn snotty that I have the nerve to be upset that I didn't get what I ordered. I get it's only a condiment, but all I want is to be able to eat the food I'm paying for with the condiments I would like to eat it with, ones that are regularly included with this kind of food but for some reason this restaurant cannot seem to get right. I don't think that's a wrong thing to expect and I'm not going to order from Yin Yang Express anymore because they don't seem to agree with that. read more

Omg worst "Chinese" food in the world! I have never tasted something so terrible. My husband has ordered from here before but I didn;t belive him when he said how terrible it was. Wow. That is the only word that can express my disgust. Not only did they forget half my order when they delivered but when I called the store to tell them that it was missing the girl who answered the phone I think her name was Denise or Deborah or something like that was incredibly rude & made it seem like I didn't check the bag. She didn't even offer any kind of apology for my order being late & bringing only half. Then when the second part of my order got delivered about 40 min later it was stone cold and the delivery boy had obviously dropped it or swung the bag beaus the Styrofoam box was busted open & 80% of the food was touching the bag which I wasn't about to eat since I don't know how clean it was.Then the little amount I could try had a very fishy/seafood taste which was incredibly disturbing because I ordered pork. My husband & I didn't enjoy anything that we ordered & we ended up throwing most of it away. Not only was it a waste my time & money but it gave us stomach issues all night. I was impressed. I've ordered twice now and found it much better than some of the other reviews indicated. This is traditional chinese like I grew up with in Seattle. The delivery has been under an hour both times I've ordered. Tucson is not a destination for chinese food in general, and if your only experience is Panda Express then your best to order from them because they don't offer traditional chinese food. One of the problems with chinese delivery is if it's not delivered immediately, the vegetables continue to cook and lose their crispness. That happened once when I ordered at a busy time. Garlic Chicken: good but it's dry style and I missed the coconut milk based sauce. The curry was spicy but not hot. Well balanced with lots of vegetables. The mushrooms used may look like over sized canned mushrooms but they are straw mushrooms and have much better flavor. BBQ Pork Noodle Soup: I could eat this daily. Very fresh. The noodles are the same as lo mein noodles, traditional chinese egg noodles that look like spaghetti but they aren't. Vegetable Lo Mein: There must have been at least 9 different vegetables in this. Well balanced with chinese noodles. Very good. Chicken Teriyaki: Not overly sweet (yeah) and loaded with chicken! There must have been more than 2 breasts used. Yin Yang tends to use more meat than I'm used to seeing in asian cooking. Chicken Pad Thai: I love this. It's my latest craving. They use white meat chicken in the dishes I've tried so far. Hot And Sour Soup: This was the only disappointment so far. It was too salty for me and not much to distinguish it. My initial whiff was "fish sauce". It wasn't offensive, more of a meh. Egg Rolls and Crab Puffs: Is it possible to mess up crab puffs? Both of these were average with no outstanding characteristics. Predictable. I will be working my way through the rest of their menu. This isn't gourmet chinese, but more like everyday, "blue collar" traditional chinese. Fresh and healthy. read more

Ordered from here through grubhub on a Friday night. My order was delivered in half the estimated time. I ordered the appetizer combo, everything was hot, crispy, and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised, especially considering it was delivery. Plentiful portions, good eggrolls, and the spareribs were meaty and tasty. Had the sesame chicken which had a strange flavor and gf had sweet and sour chicken which was bland. Literally the worst Chinese food experience I have ever had. We used the online order system and specifically made a pick-up order for teriyaki chicken and white rice, 2 egg rolls, and 2 VEGGIE spring rolls (the receipt even said all of this when we finally picked up). We get there and the cashier looked genuinely surprised that online orders were even possible, the location is disgusting and held to the lowest possible standards of cleanliness, and worst of all they got every part of the order wrong. Bland chicken (literally just microwaved chicken striplets) that came with vegetables (not white rice), egg rolls (the only they didn't screw up), and the 2 veggie rolls HAD SHRIMP IN THEM. And even though we picked it up I restaurant and indicated we were doing that online, they charged a delivery order (which had the wrong address, so luckily we caught them at the restaurant before it went out for delivery). This was the second time I've ordered from here, but it will be the last. First time the food was average for most Chinese delivery, which is to say, not too great to begin with. This time the vegetables were obviously not fresh (broccoli was a very unappealing colour and the mushrooms were from a can -- yuck!), sauces were bland, meat was chewy, most of the food was packed in styrofoam boxes that leaked all over, and my delivery took well over the predicted hour (consistent with my previous order). This was, without a doubt, the worst Asian food I have ever eaten. We ordered the combination appetizer platter, chicken lo mein, and lemon chicken. The fried meats were all overcooked and tough, with too much breading. I thought the egg roll was okay. My husband liked nothing we ordered.The crab puff had cream cheese in it. No onion, not even fake seafood. The vegetables in the lo mein were limp, and it was too oily. The lemon sauce tasted metallic and had no lemon flavor. Never eating there again! read more
