    Loaded Bloody Mary
    Christina S.

Friend's band was playing and I have been dying to try the loaded Bloody Mary so ventured out to Yinzer on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The Bloody Mary did not disappoint...you get to pick the vodka (pickle, jalapeño, garlic, olive, pepper and there may of been another I am forgetting!) Beautiful country setting on top of a hill with nice outside seating areas with fire pits. Some friends had the brunch and enjoyed it. Nice selection of ciders, something for everyone. Worth a stop for a drink!

Absolutely amazing experience! Yinzer Valley Farms is open for event rental & hosts the coolest brunch on Sunday from 11:30-3:30! Fresh squeezed mimosas, a bloody bar with every add on you could imagine (bacon, shrimp, hotdogs, soft pretzels!!!) and live music!!!!!

Bella Terra Vineyards - Steak salad

Bella Terra Vineyards is a winery, restaurant, and event venue in the small town of Hunker in…read moreWestmoreland County. It sells a variety of dry and sweet wines (e.g., red, white, rose, sparkling, and cider), cocktails, mocktails, and beers. Some vineyards are on the grounds as are many barrels and bottles of wines. The restaurant has both indoor seating and seasonal outdoor seating in lakeside cabanas and winter igloos. It is open for brunch/lunch and dinner. It is a nice setting for daily dining as well as special events such as weddings, bridal and baby showers, and private parties. Furthermore, the website lists activities such as bingo, painting and candle-making classes, live music with dancing, and more. For my husband and me, I made a reservation for lunch in an igloo. Our igloo was large enough to fit eight people and cost $50 plus foods and drinks. A larger "party dome" fits up to 14 people and has a fee of $75. The temperatures outside were very cold, but our igloo was kept warm by an electric fireplace and a zippered door. Throughout our meal, our waitress provided timely and friendly service. The Bistro menu listed shareables (e.g., pretzel sticks and charcuterie board), several smash burgers, several flatbreads, mains (e.g., fish and chips, cajun chicken pasta, and quinoa bowl), several salads, several handhelds (e.g., turkey melt, veggie wrap, and Italian panini), many sides, and a couple of desserts. Prices were moderate. (The menus for Sunday Brunch and a group Gathering differ.) The waitress first brought our Sweet Wine-Cookie Flight (4.5 stars), which consisted of the following pairs: Diamond Reo with Brown Sugar Pop Tart, Sweet Finley with Chocolate Salted Caramel, Riesling with Cookies and Cream, and Rose Cider with Strawberry Crunch. The wine glasses came in a wooden box, which was slightly too small, so I needed several minutes of time to carefully pull each wine glass out of the box. I, however, did enjoy the sweet flavors of the wines and cookies. Next our waitress brought out our shareable and two mains. The Hummus Plate (4.5 stars) consisted of fresh and tasty hummus, feta, olives, top seedz crackers, tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red peppers, carrots, celery, and tzatziki. My main course was Crab Cakes (4 stars) with a substituted side of salad. Two crab cakes were a decent size of 4 ounces each, but I would have preferred more crab meat. I liked the garlic aioli. My husband's main course was the Cali Burger (4 stars) with a side of fries. In a brioche bun, a beef patty was topped with fontina cheese, applewood-smoked bacon (which he would prefer be crispier), avocado, avocado ranch, lettuce, and pickles (which he commented were nicely crunchy and sweet-sour) (no tomato at his request). The total price for the flight, shareable, two mains, and a soda was $98 plus sales tax and tip (plus the earlier $50 fee for the igloo).

Bell's Banquets - beautiful barn wedding

    Bell's Banquets

It still has the barn/farmhouse vibe that was a perfect fit for the bride and groom. It is conveniently located off of the main road, so it was only a 10 minute drive from our hotel in Mt. Pleasant. The parking lot was huge and there were no issues with finding parking. They had everything beautifully displayed inside from the centerpieces, to the seating arrangements to the favors. Our family brought all of that in of course, but the venue had twinky lights and tulle around the railings and the venue. The bar carried all types of alcohol and even let guests do shots. The bartenders were friendly and patient with our crazy family. Once seated, the staff brought around bread and salads. The tables were perfectly spaced apart and it was very comfortable for 160 guests. They had a station on the dancefloor for appetizers which included cheese and crackers, stuffed mushrooms, mac and cheese bites, and meatballs. The stuffed mushrooms and mac and cheese bites really hit the spot especially since we were all so hungry after the ceremony. Their actual wedding ceremony was in a different location, but I imagine you can have your ceremony and reception at Bell's if you wanted. The dinner was served buffet style, and we were led up to the food table by table. The food was really hot and was delicious, and people at my table raved about the broccoli stuffed chicken. After the speeches, dinner, and drinks, it was time to dance. The staff quickly moved all the food away and opened up the dance floor. Everything was done very efficiently. Toward the end of the wedding, we all went outside to do a sparkler send off. It felt like we were only outside for 10 minutes, but when we came back the whole venue was torn down. I was so impressed. They really did a great job. My cousin, aunt, and uncle all said that Ian was a pleasure to work with. They were so stressed out about how terrible the ceremony venue was to work with (a nearby winery), and were so happy and thankful for Ian and his crew at Bell's. They recommended it to everyone at the wedding, and all of the guests clearly had a great time. I don't know any pricing info, but from a guest's perspective, it was a beautiful venue and everything ran smoothly.

Not worth it! that same year they offered a brunch, again pricey but willing to try it. We registered. They canceled and sent an email saying we could reschedule for their next date or be refunded. We could not attend the date so we asked for a refund. They failed to answer emails or phone calls about our refund for 3 months!! We should have been refunded immediately. This was bad business and we will never return nor will we recommend them. You can visit other local places that have much better business and for a better price.
