They have such an amazing staff with so much heart and a caring mindset. The Director of the facility really cares about the children and works with the parents daily. It's everything you would expect when trusting your child's care to someone else. The facility is clean and well taken care of, rooms separated to keep the ages apart, but structured so that the teachers can help each other out. It's obvious that the CDC staff puts a lot of time and energy into the well thought out room designs. They are fun and interactive for the kids to explore and grow as children. You just get this good and positive energy as soon as you walk through their doors. My son has now moved up through their system and is in the toddler rooms now. The teachers really try to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualized way. All the teachers in the infant and toddler rooms love having him and he loves seeing them. And best of all, the children seem very happy there. When I see my son interact with the other kids, they are attentive and share toys with him and give him hugs whenever he comes and goes. It's very nice to know that he is in a caring environment while he isn't home. I can see the growth and learning every day! The management is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and I'm very thankful to Children's Discovery Center and the whole CDC team. I love this place and so does my son. Just be aware if an accident happens while they are allowing this behavior, then be prepared to be told that you are responsible for paying for it. I received a call the evening the incident occurred (11/29/22) from the owner telling me that my son hit someone with a pool noodle and broke their glasses, and she told the other parent "we" would pay the co-pay if needed and she would let me know. I was thinking my son randomly hit another kid. After speaking to my child about what happened I decided to wait to be contacted back by the owner with a decision. On 12/9/22 I received a text message from the owner asking did I receive the bill for the glasses. I had not received a bill or any other communication about this incident since 11/29/22. I asked her if I could see the video of the incident and set up a meeting. She sent me the video and asked if I could meet when I picked him up that day, 12/9. I let her know I was working late, and my mom was picking him up. She proceeds to text me again that night asking if I got the bill. I reminded her what I had just told her, that I was still at work, but no one gave my mom the invoice. I asked if we could please meet Monday to discuss and she agreed. The video shows 3 older kids get pool noodles and start hitting each other. Then my 5-year-old grabs one and joins in. The pool noodle ends up knocking the glasses off one of the older boys' faces. I went in Monday morning, she had another employee waiting for me who called her on speaker phone. The first thing I asked was why are children being allowed to hit each other with pool noodles. She proceeded to tell me because that is what they are used for! I said I'm sorry, but I've always known pool noodles to be a flotation device used to assist in teaching people to swim, not hitting. Her reply was they are boys, we have always let them do this and nothing has ever happened, and you see where they are now (which was in her office). I said yes, this is probably where they always should have been. I was just absolutely appalled at her response. She was not taking any responsibility in allowing kids to hit each other. I even offered to split the cost because I did not feel that a school should be encouraging hitting. She told me that a child fell off a playset years ago and had to get pins in his elbow and she felt bad about it so she paid the medical bill but her husband (who is an atty) told her she can't do that again or it will set a precedent (which already did with that incident). She was getting very defensive because I kept bringing up the fact that I don't feel that a school should allow hitting, no matter what that act should not be encouraged! She shut down and just said I'm done having this conversation we're done here. I said fine, I'll pay the bill and she said nope we're done-we will not be picking him up from school today. If my parents were not in town for the holidays this would have left me, a single parent, with no other options for care with such short notice. The way this was handled was completely unreasonable and unprofessional. She then texts me a week after we left, on Friday 12/16, telling me she paid the bill for the glasses and please send in my payment for care from the week before--which I had already paid it 2 days prior, when it was due. I almost think it was just a slap in the face when she previously told me she could not split the bill with me, but here she is saying she paid it in full. The whole experience was just unbelievable. I am so glad I found such a great center that my son is now attending, which was as equally appalled as I was at what happened here and assured me that they do not allow hitting at all. As upset as I was after this happened, I am so glad it did, or I would've never found the new place that is so much more involved in aftercare and has planned activities (games, crafts, reading books to the children, etc.) rather than a bunch of kids running around with barely any supervision. Please feel free to contact me for proof (videos, recording, texts) if you need it before considering this place. I will say there are amazing staff there (Sam, Ashley, Tyler, and Anne) and I never had an issue with the pre-kindergarten program but the aftercare program and the actual person running the show (the owner, Donna) leaves much to be desired.

The project based learning allows the students to gain a much better understanding of what they are learning and as a result are able to retain that information. The facilitators are all amazing and show GREAT care for not only my son but all of the children. The entire staff from the facilitators to the administrative staff are really invested in helping the children become the best them they can be. We took our son out of a Montessori school and we travel 25-30 minutes everyday(sometimes 2-3 times a day) to bring him to iLEAD Spring Meadows because the school is providing him with the education that is going to help him to become a creative-leader that will be able to keep up with the changing times of today's advance society, which is something he just wasn't getting from his previous school. His growth from when he first started to the end of his first year was amazing. He is scoring higher than his grade level in math and he has been grabbing books and sounding out the words and reading them all summer. He is going into the 1st grade and I am so very excited to see his continued growth progress. If you are looking for a school that embraces technology, teaches your child (even as young as Kindergarten) not only the basics of computers but also coding, that allows your child to be creative and express themselves in art and dance, that works with your entire child (the social/emotional and academic), that takes the time to work with your child individually, that allows your child to be themselves and embrace and love who they are, that teaches them there are many ways of doing things instead of just one, that teaches them about the world and the many cultures within it and a school that helping to mold your child into the LEADER of tomorrow then iLEAD Charter School Spring Meadows is definitely the school for you. I in fact have a daughter whom attends this childcare. She has been nothing but loved on by her teachers in the time she has been attending. While the education and lessons are lacking I have begun to see an improvement in the curriculum. This change I've seen in a short amount of time since a tenured director / directors assistant step down from their positions and the new "agnostic" director took over. ( Not sure why a couple of "Christian" women would attack a person who is in search of her creator but anyway I digress. ) Another thing that I have would like to address is while yes it is true about the weirdo that had been found with child pornography did work at the church this news came out several years after working in the childcare and even one on his closest friends was shocked by the news never suspecting this person was involved in such activities. Each staff member that works during childcare hours whether teachers or administrators are vetted through a background check and fingerprinting process. All of the teachers I have ran into when dropping/ picking my child up from daycare have been very kind to my daughter and always have a story to tell about her day. To base your stance on the childcare because of one terrible, disgusting, loathsome egg is unfair. As far as the christianity of this childcare I can attest to the fact that they do indeed pray before meals and possibly nap time as my daughter always reminds my wife and I we have to pray before both activities. While I hope to see further biblical education as the new director takes over and begins to make the necessary changes the childcare needed so badly. The new director is approachable and pleasent to speak with she is always lending a hand to her teachers as I've seen her more out and about assisting the teachers as needed then I ever did under the old administration. She also welcomes suggestions for improvement from both her staff and the parents. She truly has a heart to grow and develop this childcare. As far as the price goes I think the price alone suggests that this is not just business but a ministry to serve the needs of the community. As you could could go anywhere else and spend 2,3, even 4 times the price to get the same care for your child as you do here. As far as the turnover goes here there is quite a bit of turnover but that is to be expected for any minimum wage position. The people that work here aren't in it for the money. They're in because they enjoy their work and take pride in where they work. And those who are there for the pay work there until they can find something better but they also have some very devoted teachers who have been there for 5+ yrs. The atmosphere of the daycare is much lighter and cheerier since the new director has taken over she even has taken the time to brighten the rooms up with some fun child oriented colors. Before I swear to you it felt like you were walking on eggshells and the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. While the overall educational curriculum could be improved this is safe place where your child will be loved, cared for and fed for a reasonable price.

I am so pleased with the professional and amazing treatment Tina shows in this school. I saw the review before mine and as a mom of a preschooler there, I can stand behind the tough choice she had to make as a director because I am 100% confident that any choice like that is one that had great effort and thought before making such a tough decision. Yes, children can get testy, but I know the staff speaks daily to parents as to what kind of day our children had and bring up any concerns they may have and I also know that a child would never just get released. When these young children are to a point where it is placing other children, or even staff, at ongoing risk,( which would play a large part for a release), difficult choices have to be made, regardless if it were verbal or physical. I am grateful to know that these teachers care so much and I know that the choices that are made are done because of the care they have. On another note, I am absolutely AMAZED with what my daughter learned this year! She begs to go to school when it is a day she isn't scheduled to go. I was beyond confident for her kindergarten screening due to how well prepared she is from the education she was given here. A family was given a 24 hour notice to find another program. The reasoning being the four year old was "acting up". Oh you're unable to manage a young child?? That's your job?? The director, Tina Haack, degraded the young boy to his mother in front of him. So unprofessional. You're there to foster and help young children learn and grow, not to kick them out as soon as they misbehave.
