At first all went well except that they said it was set in sterling. It absolutely wasn't, the shank was sterling because it had been changed the setting was 14 k white gold. I picked it up and in the light in the store it looked ok. As soon as I got outside and the natural light hit it, you could see a huge chip in the stone- It is a rather large Citrine. I went right back in and they said it was like that, I explained it most certainly wasn't and showed them the picture of the stone I took in their store when I dropped it off. They didn't even want to refund my money at first. I understand things can happen, but to deliberately try and hide it and not say anything is deplorable!!They even used glue to set the stone, which showed up after Water hit it. I am heartbroken as it is a rather large cleave in the stone and the ring needs to be totally re-done. Something that is going to cost me at least hundreds of dollars if anyone can even set it in such a way so it is not noticeable. If they can, it will of course totally alter the appearance of a ring that has been in my family for close to a century. Please learn from my experience, I do not want anyone else to have to go through what I experienced.
