I ordered flowers to be delivered to someone's house who had had a family member passed away. When they got the flowers got there they sent me a text with a picture thanking me. This florist is not honorable. I called to complain about the order and the man on the phone said he would send someone back to the house of the mourning people, take the flowers back and redo the order. Seriously??? How classless and tacky. I spent a lot of money for nothing but a few flowers and all greens. this place is a scam. A dear friend of mine's husband had recently passed, and they both loved the ocean, having owned a house in Maine. I wanted to send an arrangement to her home, and I asked David if he could create something consisting of "beachy colors." Not only did he do just that, but he also included a beautiful starfish in the arrangement. Perfect touch! Sent some flowers to a friend back in Lowell. While I am not personally a flower person, they seemed beautiful and were loved by the person receiving them. You know, you always see the posts online about bouquets of flowers that are not at all what is actually sent to the person. Not this time. Great flowers! In regards to the process, I actually prefer going to a flower shop in person because I believe you may get a better deal as well as not going through these silly third-partyish sites, which I understand allows individual florists to get more reach. At the same time, I would prefer to support a small business owner directly. Unfortunately, I was too late, on the West Coast, to contact the shop. Ordered online, and the process was easy. There are simple yet effective prompts if you have specific delivery instructions or want to add a note, a card, balloons, and other goodies. Two years in a row, we've gotten sympathy flowers delivered for the previous owners of our condo. The sender must have not known that they moved. We've called up the florist each year to let them know - and they have always been really great about it. We had a cheer competition and needed last minute flowers! I stopped in about 15 minutes before closing not expecting much. I was greeted by the owner who took the time to find out my price range, the cheer team colors, and what my daughter likes. I've had some great experiences, but this most recent experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I placed the order on their website, not another flower website, to ensure I would get my mother flowers from this particular florist. As it turns out, they didn't actually have the pitcher vase pictured. They called to let me know that they wouldn't be able to fulfill the order and would pass to another florist. I asked if they could do earlier in the week and there was no flexibility. They offered and checked for Saturday and then said that they were not available. I specifically placed the order for a weekday so that it would not interfere with the local Mother's Day orders. They did not care and offered no solution other than passing the order to another florist. I paid twice as much as I would have with other online flower websites. I ended up canceling the order. This was poor expectation setting and poor customer service. I'm very disappointed. read more

I ordered one of Albert's Celebration Trees via Teleflora online on Thursday, December 17, 2015, as a gift for my mother for Christmas. Two days later I received a call from them which I didn't answer because I was asleep, and for some reason my phone isn't saving my voicemail messages. But I knew that they had called because I saw their number on my phone. So I called them back the same day. Fine. The sales person who answered the phone knew nothing about diplomacy whatsoever. I was told by him that the reason they had called was because they didn't have the gold "vase" (bowl) that the arrangement is supposed to come in and that the arrangement would come in a "plastic container." He said that they were calling me to, and I quote, "head off a complaint." This is what you say to a customer? We're calling because we don't want you coming back to us complaining? How about, "We're sorry, but we don't carry the gold bowl that Teleflora shows in its photo of the arrangement. Would a plastic container be okay?" I asked if an adjustment to the charge could be made, and he said with no hesitation whatsoever, "No." He then asked me for the cost of the arrangement. I asked, "For the arrangement itself only?" and he said yes. I told him the price, which was listed on the confirmation email, for the arrangement *only,* which was $87.95. I also ordered two mylar balloons, which cost $9.99 for the pair. Adding in a wire fee of $5.00, a delivery fee of $10.00, and $6.12 tax, the grand total came to $119.06. As I was telling him the price for the arrangement, I could hear a woman in the background yelling a different price, one hundred something. I assumed she was giving him the grand total amount of $119.06. I told him that I had the confirmation email right in front of me and that the price of the arrangement was $87.95. He said, "Yah, whatever number you want to throw at me," or something very similar to those words. I was apalled. I then insisted that the price of the arrangement was listed as $87.95. He responded, "Are you trying to start an argument with me?" to which I replied, "No, I think *you're* the one who wants to start an argument." As I was still speaking, he cut me off and said, "Do you want to cancel the arrangement?" I said, "Yes, cancel the order," and hung up. Five minutes or so later, I called back and a man who sounded like he could have been the rude customer service person I had spoken with earlier, answered the phone. Plus, how many men work in a florist shop? (Not that there's anything wrong with it.) I called him a seven-letter curse word and hung up. Never again. We needed flowers delivered to a funeral home within 4 hours on the same day (unfortunately, we were unable to do it before then). I realized it was a tall task to ask for, but we had to try...When other florists said it couldn't be done, they did it! (Granted they are in the same town as the funeral home, but I'm sure this very highly-rated florist wasn't just sitting there with nothing to do; and it wasn't a simple vase of flowers either - it was a full, beautiful standing spray. (Also, most other florists said "No" before they knew where the funeral home was-it was just "too late for any same-day delivery"). My family loves this company!!! Dave and his son and family have always been excellent to us. My mother and I went last Saturday to pick up 2 roses to put on my brother's grave.
