I would give Yo-Burger 5 Stars for excellence if they carried gluten-free buns for their burgers. Many folks these days have food allergies and offering gluten-free buns would be a great service to many customers. That said, the food is excellent. Updating my review. I really like this place. The food is simply delicious. I had one experience here with a nasty cashier but she's long gone now. I've never had a bad experience here. Their cheeseburgers Are absolutely delish. I find them to be perfectly cooked, a ton of topping options, prices are fair. They produce the burgers pretty quickly as well and I like that they cook it in front of you. You can pretty much see what they're doing which I like. Ordered over the phone once for pick up and it was correct, even though the girl seemed to have a hard time hearing me. Their milkshakes are also outstanding. So creamy and good. Their yogurt is a nice feature to, good topping selection good flavor selection. Really not a negative word about the restaurant. Nice that they have some outdoor seating as well. If I had to compare their burgers to a better-known chain, I find them similar to five guys. read more

Just needed to get some lunch and bask in the sunshine. Yo Burger has big glass windows and the sun came streaming in on this great day. I started with a vanilla yogurt with walnuts, peaches, heath and it was cold and refreshing. I can tell that in the summer this will be a great place to beat the heat. So, while I was digging my yogurt I watched the Phillies game(yeah I know the Philies), but the yanks or mets were not playing this afternoon. I waited for a short time for my buzzer to ring and then I picked up my double cheese burger with bacon and pickles. It was served in a tent of paper to keep it hot and was just right. These days I want a burger to fill me up and not drag me down. Some burger are too big and you want to take a nap after eating or carry a doggy bag(I'm not one for doggy bags). I like to eat whats there and not have to carry anything away. My tummy feels really good right now and not over loaded after the yogurt, burger and water. I would go back again in a second when I'm craving a burger or a yogurt. It's nice to have a local place like this in Riverdale and not have to trot into the Manhattan. read more

Wasn't expecting much but was really surprised. Had cheeseburger with lots of add ons, French fries and soda. Everything was very good and under $10 including tax. Later had vanilla yogurt with strawberries and blueberries. Also very good. Parking is kind of tight but I will definitely be back. read more

Awesome burgers! I have been eating at Yo-Burger since the day it was established. As someone said in a previous review, it is like a hybrid of Shake Shack with it's own unique spin on it. The burgers are great, tasty and delicious, and their ice cream is also great as well. If you want a quick bite, go to Yo-Burger, it is run under the same management of Salvatore's of Soho which is also a great restaurant. Yo Burger is comparable to Shake Shack or Burger Fi, only with slightly less the price. I recently got a cheeseburger, grilled cheese with bacon, a half turkey/ half beef cheese burger, veggie burger and a milk shake for around $23. Great value and taste, especially since Riverdale doesn't have the best food options. read more

yogurt isn't particularly good and the people at the register always look confused and dazed. They never smile and never look like they know what correct change to give back. The owner's really need to make the staff more professional. The burgers are good though, so that's a plus. read more

one ****BIG SUGGESTION****** for yoburger --- if you guys had those cards that you stamp each time you get frozen yogurt and after x amount of stamps you get a free yogurt, that would rly make getting fro yo fun. This seems like a nice change to the usual burger joint if you are into the "smashed patty" style burger. They fries seemed very fresh and the shake was very thick. Service was a little slow considering that it was pretty empty but its a nice comfortable restaurant, very casual and clean. read more

I'm adding an addendum based on my last two experiences here. Today was a joke. I swear to God, the little boys behind the counter are ridiculously unprofessional, I watched two of them fight each other NOT to serve me. I don't know if they are tiny aliens, or what -- but it was unprofessional and ridiculous. I don't go somewhere to spend my money to be treated like that. Who knows, maybe it was because last time I was there, I was presented with the most ridiculous and asinine scenario I've ever come across. I asked for a double cheeseburger, but for one of the patties to not be on the burger, but on the side, without cheese, so I could give it to my dog. So, what I got was a bun with onions and tomato, and two cheeseburgers on a piece of paper. I went to the counter and said, why did you mess this up? And I was literally, literally told that it was against management's policy to ask for one patty off the cheeseburger. They either both had to be on -- or BOTH HAD TO BE OFF. I was incredibly uncomfortable with this -- not because it was the end of the actual world, but because it didn't make any sense to any reasonable human. So, I'm like asking the person: really? REALLY??!! -- and he's saying it's "management policy." And then the manager, queen of the little boys is just sitting there 1.5 feet away, ringing someone up at the other register, completely ignoring me or coming to the rescue of his cheeseburger-babyson, over this ridiculously stupid policy. YO-BURGER I have removed you from my mind, from bringing my friends and family in because of your rude and stupid staff and poor management. I will also make sure that this complaint gets to the owners, including the names of the juveniles elbowing each other in the ribs to decide who had to take my order. I don't often eat burgers so when I first went to Yo Burger I tried the veggie burger with sweet potato fries and a strawberry milkshake. Best thing about this place is the assortment of toppings and choices for your burger. Burgers are delicious and fresh, plus desserts are delicious and sweet. Definitely seems like a family place. There always seems to be children especially during rush hour. Decent service considering that the workers seem like high school kids; they're definitely attentive to their customers. Clean location. Yo burger over prices the double cheese burger. They take a single burger and cut it in half and stack it and they call it a double cheese burger. I am very disappointed in the. And by the way. I get the hot dog and the strawberry milkshake and nine times out of ten it absolutely kills the pallet with lushiousness. Lived in Riverdale for a while and always had to head to Manhattan for a killer burger. No more. Cheeseburger was giant and juicy and on a potato roll bun, delicious. I love this place! It's got a fresh and clean look and feel and is always one of the little restaurants where you can find people hanging outside on he benches listening to music or enjoying the great air conditioning inside. I go here at least once a week for their veggie burger which is made fresh every day. And of course I never leave without a top-it-yourself yogurt on the way out. Their delicious burgers on potato bread buns and self-serve frozen yogurt are amazing. I'm not vegetarian, but the veggie burger option was pretty yummy too. It gets very crowded during the school year with local high school students, but that's expected. The decor is supposed to be trendy, lots of white paint and metal, but it can make for a loud, echoey dining experience. The chairs are also uncomfortable.
