I have eaten here numerous times when I go to The Bay Plaza Mall in Co-op City. I found the food to be a bit salty. I had the hot dog which they always cut down the middle. The hot dog is nothing to sing about, but I get a nice portion of french fries, I think it's a small I had and was happy with it. I also asked for a yogurt, but wasn't on the menu and the cashier said it's called cup and I had a double vanilla cup. I love the cup because I don't need to drink on my long bus ride home. I ate outside and then as I was finished the same cashier came outside and ask me and other customers was everything ok with our food and this gave me a warm feeling because even though this is a fast food establishment, they still care. The restroom is always clean and stocked with supplies which is great because I hate to tell the staff that they needed stuff because that's their job. The toilet seat needs to be tightened, but that's the only negative in my book. Oh, and I love when restrooms have toilet seats cover and they did major thumbs up. Of course, I will return because of the great customer service I received and the inside being clean and the also have running water inside by the condiment station which is another plus, just in case you can't get to the restroom being occupied. read more

When I'm in the mood for a good burger, few places come to mind. Shake shack is one of the places that I can trust to satisfy my cravings. We ordered burgers that had fried onions, pickles, cheese and a sauce on it and it was phenomenal. We also ordered ranch buffalo fries and those were really delicious. I also ordered myself a cookies and cream shake , which never fails. The burger patties are always well.Seasoned and pressed flat which is what I like about shake shack. The burgers are also always nice and hearty, no skimping over here. The fries were crispy and the Buffalo ranch was a little zesty and spicy and very well done. Pulled up to Shake Shack on my way home from work--had a coupon for a free bacon avocado burger (bless up). Place was clean, service was fast, staff was chill, and it's pretty spacious inside which is always a plus. Now the burger... not life-changing, but solid. Shake Shack is kinda that reliable friend who doesn't wow you, but never lets you down either. The avocado was flexing a little too hard--kinda stole the show from the other flavors. Would have given a 5 star review but I was given a burger that was not fully cooked. My boyfriend noticed his bun & meat in the middle was slightly cold. Which maybe we thought it sat a little while maybe waiting for mine to come out but once we started eatting he noticed a really pink cold piece when he bit into the middle of the burger. So that kinda ruined our lunch date. But for the most part we love coming to this location & this was the first time that it happened. This Shake Shack location has become one of my favorites. The service was pleasant. The guy who took my order was pleasant and greeted me with a smile. I loved the mannerisms he presented when speaking to me, and I noticed he carried the same energy with the customer before and after me. The restaurant itself is nice. It's kept clean. I saw tables being wiped down and trays being moved. This location had enough space for both indoor and outdoor dining. My food was excellent. The orders were taken right, and the food came out hot and fresh. I mean, I have no complaints about this location at all. Although, I would ask that Shake Shack stop playing games and get a vaule menu of some sort. I mean why I have to pay for everything separately. The prices are already to darn high. I mean, can we get a break. For three average meals, I spent close to $70 bucks. For some burgers and fries! Really!? I love me some Shake Shack, but my wallet doesn't. Absolutely no issues with this restaurant any time I've ordered. Shake Shack decided to add another vegetarian option on the menu besides the shroom burger. What a great decision! This veggie burger almost reminds me of the one at Cheesecake factory with all the fine ingredients used. I opted for the shack burger in a lettuce wrap and fries, and my friend had a shack burger with bacon in a lettuce wrap and fries. We were both pleasantly surprised at how good the burgers were in the lettuce wrap without the buns and enjoyed our meals, although they were difficult to eat without as much structure. Usually I don't like Shake Shack fries because they aren't done well enough and I only got them because fries and burgers are a classic combo, but they were delicious at this location. After approximately 12 months of construction during Covid, the long awaited Shake Shack is in the last phases of construction and appears to be opening soon at Bay Plaza Mall. As of Christmas week, the construction fences surrounding the structure and barriers have been cleared away and things look to be falling into place. The Drive-Thru option I was hoping for is looking slim to none. I think a Drive-Thru would have been a convenient idea especially during these times of Covid. The signature walk up, Pick-Up Window is there following suit with the original Madison Square Park location. The fact that SS is here deserves a thank you to Danny Meyer's team for including The Bronx in this Global Burger phenomenon. Definitely looking forward to seeing it up and running. read more

I generally prefer visit a place first before ordering from them but we ordered from here once and had no problem with the delivery including no missing items so we went by for lunch today. Thankfully, this location is nice, clean and organized and the workers are all friendly! There surprisingly wasn't a line but I think that's because we went pretty early in the afternoon. There's an outside patio seating area where you can sit to enjoy the weather. When inside you place your order and then you're given a number to take to your table if you're dining in so they can bring your food to you. I know some restaurants Try to do this but normally they'll fall off and just call the orders out for pickup. We ended up ordering: a Cheeseburger, fries, a chicken shack, two milk shakes and chicken bites. Everything was fresh and came out cooked to satisfaction. I didn't see a long line for the drive through either but I haven't tried it yet so I won't be able to speak on that as part of this experience. No need to run to the city anymore. My husband is a Uber driver and every time we go there the staff are rude and they never have the food done on time. We have had to cancel three orders already. If any call coming in for this location again. Sorry to say we will not be taking it. Took an Uber for my birthday, long line I ordered almost 20$ of food, a smoke shack burger,French fries and choc shake, on the patio,6:30pm, cashier asked me if I wanted to tip, I refused-wondered if it affected my order. I saw people with their orders included straws, and realized; there were no straws out for customers, my order arrived no straw so I had to get up and go ask for one. I didn't know if this was intentional or not bc I had witnessed the worker be rude to another person a woman on crutches who tried to give him a number back to take inside, he refused and made her take it around the building and inside to the counter, why he couldn't take it out of her hand? if she was a paying customer it was unacceptable. I got my straw and started eating an realized there was no lettuce, no pickle, no tomato, no onion and the meat was totally raw. I had eaten a few bites But when I saw the meat was raw I got nauseous and threw the burger in the trash and left. I ate the fries but they were not great they reminded me of frozen fries, the shake was good but I couldn't finish it bc I felt sick. I called the manager the next day, who said he would return my money if I gave him my cc over the phone, I agreed to come by the next day however I live far was going to have to take a bus or take another Uber is 16$ also didn't want to eat there again, as the recent experience still makes me slightly nauseous, the experience was so disgusting I didn't want to return,other customers got raw burgers on grub hub it seems like there is a line cook that should fired. Update: After my first 2 encounters, Things went downhill. I've ordered twice from the app and the first time, they forgot my French fries. When I called to get a refund, they asked for my card number etc to give them refund which is sketchy because why can't it be refunded directly from the app? Why do you need my card info. That was a month ago and even after emailing shake shack, a refund never showed up. Secondly, the chicken sandwich gave me food poisoning. I noticed the first time that the chicken breast seemed different from what every other location has, it seemed smaller and a different shape and quality. Not even crispy like you'd expect. after my second time ordering the chicken, I know for sure that quality of chicken used here is VASTLY different from other shake shack locations. Theirs is smaller, dry and just not good and I could tell something was off. An hour later I was sick. Just something about a chick'n shack with fries that just does it for me. The crispiest chicken on top of lettuce, pickles, herb Mayo in between the most pillowy potato buns (drools)! But I now add in some avocado for some over the top deliciousness. The fries belong in the hall of fame! Had an app order malfunction the other night and the night manager help out big time and the food was great too!

If you do a pick up order and don't leave a tip they half a** the order. I got half of cup of cheese for my cheese fries, quarter slice of lettuce, and not a full bun. It had a piece missing. No napkins were placed in the bag. If I'm doing pick up why would I have to leave a tip? It's ridiculous to even add that option automatically on the app. read more

Ordered food for me and my cousins out out 4 shakes only two were given to us I called back after we got home and she said she would issue a refund but I wanted the shakes but she said you can order again. Then I never even got the adjustment to my card and now I see I was charged more instead of a refund I got charged for two more shakes. This location is ran by teenagers. Every time I order using the app they get my order messed up. The person in charge of packing the bags doesn't pay any attention to details. It's incredible how they never get it right. If you're going to hire teens at least have a manager that can effectively supervise the team. Today I received more than I ordered. They sent me a follow-up email to ensure that my experience here went well. And I must say the staff was wonderful and the location was nice and clean. I've been a Shake Shack fan for years. Perhaps the fact that the first one I ever went to was the original in Madison Square Park, I've become spoiled. That particular location never disappointed me. It's been hit and miss at all the other locations I've checked out. This location was a miss. My Shackburger was over cooked and way too salty, and the special sauce was not even tasted. The fries were undercooked, and my chocolate shake, while not bad, was better at other locations. The restaurant was immaculate and the service was friendly and the only reason I gave this review 2. I'm just going to say WOW for service. I have never been to a shake shack that has been this caring for others. Someone is available at the door to greet and open the door for you. Cashier was friendly and amazing, and food service was so quick! Not only that, but someone comes to check up on you while you're having your meal to make sure everything is okay.
