I was a loyal customer for almost 3 years between the gables location and here. I'm reviewing on the Biscayne location. In the last year this place has done a 360. I use to get my nails done here. Until most of the girls left that I liked. I also tried several different eyebrow tech after one specific girl I loved left as well. (Employees leaving... not a good sign) Needless to say the last straw is when I walked out of there with thin uneven eyebrows. Had to grow them out for months !!! Haven't gone back since. read more

I usually have a great experience at all of these studios however I'm very disappointed to say that I am currently sitting in the parking lot outside when they are technically still open. I walked up with 5 minutes still before they closed and the door was already locked. I saw people inside and the woman at the front desk and I made it clear I just wanted my eyebrows done which would take less than the 5 minutes they are still supposed to be open for. She would not open the door. I am very disappointed in this experience and I hope the owner sees this and lets the people working there know that when the hours say they are open until 7, that means the doors should stay open until 7pm. read more

This time not-- and they treat you like you're dumb.. and then spitefully cut your nails off when you ask for them short and round.. not to look like i bit them all off. I come pretty regularly. The employees are nice, the place is clean, and its reasonably priced. My eyebrows look fantastic. The trick to makeup application is no little hairs and threading gets them all. Threading is really the beat way to get your eyebrows done but wow does it hurt. Oh man it hurts way more then waxing but no red after burn and its better then tweezing. So suck if up beauty hurts and its only for a few seconds. I really want to have my upper lip done as well but I don't know if I can suffer the pain. Its open late which is great because I go every 2-3 weeks after the gym on the way home. Parking is in the back if you drive. If you haven't tried threading you should. I see both men and women doing it so stop by and give it a try. read more

I'm very disappointed. I've been growing out my eyebrows for about 5 months to be able to reshape them. I was sat with Marjorie. Please avoid getting them done with her. She butchered my eyebrows. I tell the front desk receptionist that my eyebrows are butchered and she refuses. Says that the stylist must show each eyebrow after being done. Yes that's true she did my left eyebrow is beautiful the right not so much and she wants to sit there and tell me they look the same. No one can glue hair back on but at least acknowledge a fuck up. I actually re-downloaded yelp because I have to write this review. WORST MANI PEDI OF MY LIFE!!! Firstly, the manicurist was extremely rude, she placed the acetone soaked cotton balls on my nails for my entire pedicure. I tried to take them off after half an hour and she had a fit in spanish (which I don't speak). From there, I sat down to do a manicure and she was screaming at the front desk girl telling her that the acetone that the owner bought was "cheap and doesn't remove gel". She really messed up my nails with the electric filer and I was bleeding in multiple areas on my fingers. She patted them dry with acetone which really hurt. It took her OVER AN HOUR for a regular manicure. When I got to the front desk to pay, I expressed how bad the mani pedi was and that I didn't want to pay for at lease one of the services, the front desk staff called the owner. The front desk staff said to the owner "this client is not satisfied with the service". I corrected her and told her that the service performed was terrible, pictures attached. She came back and said sorry I'll give you 20% off ($8). I expressed that that discount was ridiculous, paid anyway, left the store and promptly removed both my toe and hand polish. Not only was the mani pedi actually terrible, but the SERVICE WAS TRASH!! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Let me start by saying they probably have the best specials in Miami, coming from LA my standards when it comes to nail technicians are really high and expect good customer service to go with it, this is not the case at Yodi, here you will find attitude left and right I even got into a little exchange of words the first time I went, but after I saw how she did my nails i had to come back to her and religiously every 2 weeks because it was conveniently around the corner from where I lived and because Aide was so far the best nail technician I found in Miami ( still dont expect a massage to go with your pedicure) Pay them a visit if you dare and if you can handle spiciness you will be just fine. read more

Love their threading service, very clean and efficient. They ask what length and thickness you'd like. I also love their mani pedi service. Stephanie is super sweet and does an amazing job leaving your nails and feet looking clean. My only complaint is this: the other technicians there are very loud and will start talking about their personal business while clients are trying to get their hands and feet serviced. To the point were others were tuning around of how loud they were being. I feel like there's always a time and place for conversation but it was very inappropriate what they were talking about and it made me and others uncomfortable. Freaking amazing. I wish I lived in Miami just for this place! Beautiful little salon tucked away bedside a busy road in North Miami. I was down here for a mini-vacation with Bae and needed an emergency threading of the eyebrows---stumbled upon this place a walk from our Airbnb. I wish I remembered the woman's name who did my eyebrows, I can tell you is she middle eastern and knows what she is doing. Very skillfull, honest and gives you the best possible shape. I love her friendly and warm personality as well. I wanted to take her up here to Jacksonville haha. The place overall is clean, well lit and beautifully decorated. Next time I am in the area I'll be sure to stop here but I highly reccommend this place to the local ladies/men looking to get groomed properly. read more

Staff was courteous and they made sure I sanitized my hands and I think they took my temperature upon entering. I got my eyebrows threaded and I did not had to wait to be seen by the technician (I did come in at 1030am during the weekday). Excelente listener. My eyebrows technician Suru, did exactly what what I asked for. She did not thin out my eyebrows. She shaped it beautifully while keeping it full. I've had many bad experiences in the past to the point that I stopped shaping my brows for over a year. I'm glad my Uber driver told me about this place. I was passing by on my why to work and my Uber driver said picks up people from all over Miami just to go do their eyebrows at this place, and all the women would tell her how satisfied they are with the service. She was right. I'll be seeing Suru every other Monday for sure. She knows her trade well. Threading has been my preferred form of eyebrows shaping for years now but since I moved to Florida from NY this is the first place I found a skilled person that can do threading. I'm usually nervous when I have to go through the process of finding that right person to trust with my eyebrows. Since traveling to my go to beauty spot in Broward is out of the question, I looked into options in my area. After reading the reviews I decided to give this place a go. (Btw, there's parking near the back.) When I walked-in I immediately noticed how clean and modern the place is. First room is the front desk and threading stations and second room is for mani and pedi. Waiting time was short. I ended up with tech, Jennifer. At first, my panic mode went into high gear when the previous girl walked off cursing the tech under her breath. Tech explained to me what happened, I made sure I made it clear to her on what I wanted before we began. She discussed my two shaping options and proceeded. I was pleased that half way through she stopped to show me her progress; that immediately put me at ease. When she was done I was very happy that she had followed my instructions. When it came time to pay the girl at the front was super friendly but I could tell multi-tasking was not her strong suit. I go to pay and while I'm signing my receipt she's taking the next person and forgets to give me a customer receipt. And there was this whole mix up of who got what already. So she hands me the customer receipt and between answering my questions and the client next to me she almost takes back my receipt. SMH. Well I should have looked at the reviews before stepping in. the nails "technician" filed my thumb too short and uneven. at that point there was nothing to do but to even out my nail. she does not speak English and got frustrated with me speaking English to her. I was not even upset, I was telling her to file one side of the nail. She had to call someone to translate and said she would end the service making look like I was being difficult. She indeed refused to do my pedicure I had also booked for. No one told me she did not want to do my pedicure. I went to the cashier and I was told I had to make another appointment for the pedicure as Yoselin did not not want to do it. advice for the owner: hire competent people who understand a happy client is someone who will be coming back. Have employees who understand your success is their success as well. hire people who understand it is Your business and not theirs. once your clean up your team you will start getting better reviews and therefore making money. read more

Been going to Yodi for my threading for quite some time now. Its usually a quick in and out $10 for my brows. All of the ladies do a good job, you really can't go wrong. The location also does mani-pedis and other services. Had my nails done once and was pleased. It was just the once cause I have my nail place I've been going to for years but this particular day my nail spot was full and Yodis was able to squeeze me in. This is my go-to spot in Miami for threading and tinting. They dont take reservations but are great about getting you in and out. If you can get there before 4 on the weekdays there is usually no line! I also like that they have venmo/cashapp set up for tips since I dont usually carry cash. read more

This place is can be pretty hit or miss. Sometimes I leave loving my eyebrows and other times I'm stuck growing out my eyebrows after a bad thread job. Today was one of those lucky days that I actually left satisfied which prompted this review. Hopefully I can keep my good luck streak going. I don't have a yelp account but I took over my friends just to write this review. I have naturally thick and beautiful eyebrows and i went today just for a trim. I told the lady five times not to change the shape and she continued to tell me what beautiful eyebrows I had. Five minutes later she handed me the mirror, and i bursted out crying. She took off half my eyebrow and gave me an arch like the McDonalds logo. My friends even are mortified for me. I just spent $200 at Sephora buying makeup to fix my face. Ive never been so upset about any service. I just want to warn anyone with beautiful thick eyebrows not to go here and get the lady with a missing tooth. But seriously... dont. Okay ladies and gentlemen, let's talk about eyebrows. Everyone knows that eyebrows are a defining feature of the face. For some reason they are the main focal point and can make or break your entire look. With all that said, who can you trust with your eyebrows, am I right?! Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who cannot for the life of me do my own eyebrows. I used to try to shape my own brows with tweezers but failed miserably. When I used to go in to get my eyebrows done the technician would always ask "what happened". YES IT WAS THAT BAD. I would try waxing every once in a while to treat myself but since I'm allergic to wax I would break out every time. While waxing works for a lot of people, it didn't work for me. Finally, eyebrow threading became a thing. People have their own opinions about threading but to me - threading was so much more gentle on my skin compared to waxing and it didn't leave my skin with broken out. It just feels like little pinches and it's over within a few minutes. When I discovered Yodi Threading Spa, I let my eyebrows grow out and stopped tweezing completely. I relied solely on the technicians to fix what I had over-tweezed for years. For ONLY $10, you get a quick, easy, and great service. All of the eyebrow technicians are good at what they do. When you go in you simply put your name on the list and they call you in order. Most people recommend that you stick with one technician so they wait until their technician is free but I'm a little more carefree so I just go to whoever calls my name. Regardless of who I go to, I've been happy with the results every time. I've been going to Yodi Threading Spa for the past 3 years about every 3-4 weeks. I have been so happy with my eyebrows and know I have nothing to worry about. The technicians there deserve all the praise in the world! The ONLY reason why I come to this salon for my eyebrows is because it's within close distance to my home. Honestly, I would love to give this salon a better rating because there are a few gems here. There is a one young woman of Indian descent who has done my eyebrows who is great. She does a solid job but unfortunately she wasn't there today. Jenny- she also does eyebrows is TERRIBLE. She's rude, ignorant, unskilled, selective, gives appalling customer service. I checked a few other comments on here and I'm not alone in this view. The winning service today was with Aidee. She was very professional, did a wonderful job and extremely pleasant Essentially, I don't expect to make friends when I receive a service. The stars are for Agita or Asita who is great at eyebrows. She is friendly and professional and does an awesome job. Everyone else is unprofessional, rude and generally, unpleasant to be around. I was there for eyebrows and didn't see Agita/Asita so I just waited for the next available eyebrow tech. The eyebrow tech with the long black hair was the next available but instead of taking me first cone first serve, she skipped me and took care of a friend of hers even after I pointed out that I had been waiting and came in first. It was incredibly rude. If you want to do things that way, then you should allow people to make appointments with who they want... I have gone twice for nails and both times the technicians have been grumpy and rude. The first time, when I couldn't find the match for the color I wanted in shellac I told the lady I would just do regular, to which she replied annoyed that when I book a shellac mani, they block off more time, implying that I better tip her on a shellac because I took up her appointment time. The second, I had a technician who flat out told she didn't want to be there and wanted to go home. I noticed she didn't put out a water bowl to soak my hands to soften the cuticle. I didn't ask but realized later it was because she was injured and didn't want to get up to get water and clean out her bowl which I completely understand but then why not ask another technician to walk 5 ft to get the water instead of cutting my cuticle basically dry. The person at the front is really no help I the customer service department or anything else for that matter. read more

I have been a long time client of Yodi's for many years... even before they expanded to Mani/Pedis...and will likely remain loyal. I've visited all their locations, including their original Coral way one. I like their convenient locations, and fair price point given the market value in the area. Although I am walking distance to Midtown, I opt to drive up to the N Miami location because it's not as small and the technicians up north are not nearly as LOUD and obnoxiously gossipy as Midtown. I am the type of customer that regularly just goes in for the service only and NOT the chatter. But there is only so much you can take - and specifically the two dark long-haired ladies on the backwall are the MOST intolerable of all !! After a 4 month hiatus due to pandemic, I finally gave in and went to the salon for a much-needed Mani/Pedi- regretfully I went to Midtown since no one picked up the phone at N. Miami to make appt. To my surprise, Esmeralda (?) was wearing her mask on her chin at first, and later not even wearing mask correctly, didn't even use gloves like other technicians, nor even used a liner on the Pedi soak plus even knicked me on toe too without proper care either! -_- I am usually complacent with the service at Midtown, but the lack of concern regarding social distancing (were not using every other desk) or safety guidelines was enough for me, especially considering my long-awaited Mani/Pedi, the quality was subpar and frankly a frustrating experience to say the least. I felt I was doing a better job on my own during quarantine. :( This was probably my LAST time at Midtown for Mani/Pedi (eyebrow techs are great!)- will hopefully continue to go to N Miami location, even if more inconvenient- simply to not have to deal with those the ladies of Midtown because of, not only inconsiderate to CDC guidelines, but their overall unprofessionalism. As a customer, we should not have to hear their dirty laundry including how they talk bad behind each other, loud enough I am always hesitant to answer a phone call in their presence. Its unfair to draw a negative perception of a successful small business because of a few bad seeds!! at least they have other options to continue to support their business. I know this review won't change anything, but just be mindful of location by their nail technicians-- after tolerating them for years out of convenience, I hit my limit- very disappointed and equally uncomfortable, unsafe experience during a pandemic visit. read more

I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for almost 10 years now, so as you can imagine I am picky AF with who does them and how they're done. This place and the girls here are great! I've started to stick to one person after falling in love with her, but it seems most people walk-in and are seen relatively quick. The parking at this particular location has a free lot in the back, but parking at the other location can be aggravating. Pretty standard pricing for threading in Miami.
