I got the Apres extensions and was charged extra $20 for parallel service with the pedicure. After two days, one of the extensions fell off. 5 days later, I only had 3 left. The lady who did my Russian manicure cut my cuticles to the point they were bleeding on 5 different nails!!!! This a huge risk for infection. I made a comment and she didn't even care she cut me. Additionally, after one week there was visible growth out. my cuticles were cut so short they lifted in places and now have a white cast all around them. Russian manicures should last for at least 14 days before you see visible growth out. The manicure took over 2 hrs. So this place is adorable. Very clean and modern. It's just cute. The woman at the desk, Elizabeth was wonderful. She gave me directions when I called. She was warm when I arrived and I chatted with her and my nail tech Kirenia the entire process. I manicure my own nails so all I need is a gel polish. She was so careful with my nails. She took her time. Most places I feel rushed. She made me dry my nails many extra times to be sure. And when I ruined one myself...she fixed it right away and was not bothered to do it. My partner & I just wrapped up our pedicure date at Luv nail shop and wanted to share my experience. My partner has been here a few times in the past and spoke so highly of it. His experience was very disappointing. His technician was about 15 minutes late to the appointment we had booked. Something was off about the scheduling. I had a great experience with my nail technician, Gigi. My partner had Yolani and was disappointed in his experience. She appeared to be in a bad mood, rarely speaking, and when she would leave (after wrapping his feet with the towels) she didn't even say anything. She just left for 3-4 minutes. The massage he received was subpar. He mentioned in the past he was offered tea, no one offered anything to drink while we were there. Vanessa started this because she wanted a nail salon that had both great quality of services and a cute salon. We feel the quality was compromised. Had a perfectly fine first experience at Luv Nail Shop but after my second visit, I will not be returning and urge you to do the same. They switched my nail tech after I had specifically booked with one and blamed it on "a system error." We all know that the system did not make that change and to blatantly lie to my face about it without an apology... not cool. Clearly one of the tech's regulars had decided she wanted an appointment and my service got the boot. Somehow, I spent two hours here getting a manicure. Full disclosure, it was their "redefined" manicure but the time frame dedicated to this service is 45 minutes, not two hours. The tech did a fine job just like she had done the first time. Unfortunately, my nails started chipping two days post-service but that is truly the least of my complaints. Once my service was complete, they waved me off and said "Have a nice day, you're all set!" Unfortunately, we were not all set. Two weeks prior I had visited and had my old gel manicure removed and a new gel manicure performed. They explained that I was going to be charged a $10 gel removal fee but they did not charge for gel that was applied at their salon. So imagine my surprise when my phone lights up with a credit card charge notification for TEN DOLLARS more than my manicure should have cost. I thought surely, there was a misunderstanding and walked right back into the salon to inquire about this charge. The owner(?)/manager's response was a very uninterested "We only don't charge if you go from gel to gel. but you got a regular manicure." I picked my jaw up off the floor and left and vowed to never return. To literally copy and paste from their website: GEL REMOVAL IS ONLY CHARGED WHEN IT IS NOT DONE IN-HOUSE I see other reviews mention the same shady, bad business practices. Not surprised. read more

This business is not reasonable in its dealings with customers. My friend and I arrived five minutes after the grace period for our appointments. We thought we were early, but we were actually late due to a reasonable misunderstanding while booking the appointments online. (The online booking tool displays appointment start and end times.) Neither the receptionist nor the owner were accommodating or reasonable, even after explaining the misunderstanding. I was charged the full amount for services that we did not receive, which I consider stealing money from customers with unreasonable and ridiculous policies. Even after exchanging various emails with the owner and attempting to get just half of my money back, she refused and claimed that the policies were reasonable. I got the manicure + pedicure special for $50. Paola was very friendly and the whole experience was lovely - the citrus water and tea offerings were nice! My owning complaint was that she cut my cuticles too much and made my nail bed bleed. I did get 2 compliments on the color and it lasted 1 week without beginning to chip. Overall, I think this place created a nice zen environment and it was very relaxing. If I go back, I would not have them cut my cuticles though! read more

The salon itself is very clean and really pretty and nicely decorated. It's the cutest little thing and everything is extremely organized. There's nice music playing in the background and you also get offered some delicious tea. My technician was by far one of the best I've ever had. She was extremely attentive to detail, she did not rush but did a great job in under 45 min (gel mani) and was sweet. The price was great considering how professional the salon and staff is. The second time upon returning to Luv Nail shop with my dip from their salon and my gel pedicure also from their salon. I had a total of 4 nails left with the dip and this was not their fault it was mine Bc they were absolutely fine but I tend to pick my nails and it was 4/5 weeks later. The point is after I got home and checked my receipt they had charged me $20 for the 4 nails left with dip on to remove and then $10 to remove from toes. Now mind you the technician used a drill to remove from me feet so it took absolutely 2 seconds to remove the gel from toes. So $30 extra to remove the dip and gel I had received from their salon! I am not a nickel and dime person but I just find this extremely bad business practice and I am a very loyal good customer. I always do the best pedicure and was planning on being in there every couple weeks as I was trying to let my natural nails come in! When I called the owner refused to even reason with me to see where I was coming from. She said that's how it's done Bc I wasn't receiving another set of gel or dip! My go-to nail salon in Miami!! All of the nail technicians at this salon are kind, with a gentle touch. The salon is kept in great condition and is very clean. I really feel at ease here, and when accidents happen (chipped nail or not satisfied with how the polish looks), they are quick to bring a solution with understanding and respect. Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience here. I came in for a hard gel manicure with ombre, which is on their menu and left with a hack job. I've had long, beautiful almond shaped nails the last 5+ years and asked them to cut the regrowth and the technician cut off all my nails. She said it was ok because they would be round. I ended up crying through the manicure. Then I was further disappointed when the technician could not do an ombre. They charged an extra $20 for the poor excuse of an ombre.
