I have been practicing mat yoga at Yoga Haven for a while now and loved it Unfortunately, after having hip issues I was told I will need a hip replacement. In the meanwhile I started chair yoga with Ellen. It has been a life saver. I am able to enjoy many of the yoga positions while having less stress on my hip. I still feel the benefits of yoga in a safe and fun class. We also use weights which is an added bonus. Ellen knows a lot about the body and shares it with us in every class. read more

I began taking classes as a prenatal student, then returned for Mommy & Baby. Gently gets your strength back & eases aches & pains. Knowledgeable & kind instructors. Other mothers are a great sounding board for your concerns. Very helpful to hear other families are going through the same stuff & how they're handling it. Since my baby & I grew out of Mommy & Baby, I take beginner or mixed level classes myself, and I love how I am supported when I'm struggling and challenged when an instructor sees I'm ready to try something harder. read more

I loved my first experience at Yoga Haven in Tuckahoe. Took my first class on Friday and it was great. Loved the instructor, Denise! She really teaches how to do the poses correctly. I really got a great workout and was so sore the next day. This and the Scarsdale location would be my go to locations but I wish they had a Groupon or offered better deals. I know $90 for 5 classes is pretty typical in Westchester but I'm not from here and am not used to paying so much! Also, I had a lot of trouble finding the location. I kept driving up and down Main St, partially bc my gps is lacking recently. I called to ask for their exact location and nonce answered. But it is located right next to the Chase Bank. I think they share an entrance. Also, Only metered spots on Main St. - of course. read more

I have just started going to Yoga Haven in Tuckahoe and absolutely love it. So far, I have tried several different teachers & classes, however, my favorite is the 9:30am Mixed Level with Debbie on Fridays. Sadly, I am returning to work so I will not be able to go anymore, but if you are free during that time I highly suggest attending. As previous reviewers mentioned, every teacher has their own style here. Some teachers focus more on the spiritual element while others make it more of a workout. Definitely experiment with a few teachers before settling on a class. In terms of pricing, I think that Yoga Haven offers a good deal. I have been to a couple different studios in the area and they are either the same price or more expensive. The studio is always clean and the equipment is up to date. I would not be able to survive without a wonderful studio like Yoga Haven so close to me! read more

I can only speak for the mommy and me yoga class. I have been going since my son was only 6 weeks old and he is already 6 months! The class is amazing, and the teacher Sarah is awesome! She is super helpful and always explains to me how to do certain moves and corrects when I do them wrong. She is great with the babies and always willing to help out with a fussy baby so that mom can get her me time. read more

I have such mixed feelings about this place. Many of the instructors are excellent, they have a good variety of classes/times, and the studios are great. Their prenatal classes are terrific and I'm positive I escaped many of the typical pregnancy & childbirth pitfalls such as back pain due to the classes. The mindfulness portions were also great, really helped me relax and be mindful pre, during, and post pregnancy. The mommy and baby classes were a good way to get back into shape, get out of the house, and have fun with my baby. However, I didn't love the pseudo-science, moon-phase, Sanskrit-reading portion, and vaccinate-curious atmosphere, such as overtly recommending anti-vaccination pediatricians on their website and discussing placenta encapsulation. I'm not sure if you can escape this in any yoga studio but I found it particularly worrisome that while teaching pregnant women and newborn babies, both of whom are particularly vulnerable to infections, they hand out health advice. They are a fitness center, not a medical facility. read more

I had searched for a long time to find a challenging yoga class since moving to Westchester from NYC. Yoga Haven has been great. They offer intermediate and advanced classes that are truly challenging. The instructors are well-trained and knowledgeable about all aspects of yoga (beyond the asanas). This studio offers early morning classes during the week which allows me to take a class before work. (This is a rarity in Westchester.) read more

As a beginner I felt comfortable here from day one! I generally go twice a week now and look forward to my yoga sessions. There are a variety of classes, times, instructors, and two locations. Ok so I had to completely revise my review of this place because my experiences got better & better with each class. This studio offers many different types of classes, technically speaking & also with different vibes. I have had teachers who are very physically oriented, similar to palates style teaching. I have also had teachers here who are very spiritual & bring a beautiful vibe to their classes. The teachers range from calm & sensitive to spirited & bubbly. I am now a regular here & I've loved almost every class I've been to. I highly recommend giving all of their teachers a shot & enjoying yourself trying new classes :) read more

Yoga Haven is the best studio in Westchester! The teachers are amazing. The owner Betsy takes pride in how she runs the studios. There is a great variety of classes that work for beginners or advanced yoga students, and also for specific interests like Iyengar, Restorative, for Athletes or vinyasa flow, etc.. plus workshops and also visiting teachers. I also participated and was certified through the 200 hour teacher training program - it changed my life in ways I never expected. I learned not just about poses, alignment, anatomy, yoga history & theory, spirituality, mindfulness, adjusting students, sequencing, too much to list but really I felt like I gained a whole new appreciation and perspective of yoga and a new family of yoga loving friends. Betsy is a sweet, genuine and real - she truly loves yoga, cares about her students and takes time to for those who need help with a pose, an injury, an interest, etc. The studios are also always clean too.
