Went to yoga 101. I had a great time. As a newbie to yoga I was super nervous, but the instructor was very warm and welcoming. He let me use their yoga mat free of charge and showed me where to put my things. It is very warm and cozy inside. The session went better than I expected. It was a great intro to yoga. I am considering coming here again. My only issue is parking. East liberty is very busy and street parking is sparse. read more

I visited Yoga Love through Class Pass, and I loved the first class I took (Yoga Strong with Tatum) so much that I was considering buying a Yoga Love membership. However, after my experience in the Yoga Tone class today, I refuse to give Yoga Love my money or my Class Pass credits, and I cancelled the two other classes I had scheduled for this week. When I entered the studio, there was a woman having a conversation with the instructor (Juls). I took off my shoes and jacket and headed into the actual studio space, but I popped my head out to ask a quick question and to compliment the woman on her glasses. As I did, I caught the woman whispering to the instructor (hand covering the side of her mouth and everything!), and both women seemed surprised and caught off-guard. I went back into the studio space, and both women were quiet for about a minute before continuing the original conversation they were having at their original volume. That made me extremely uncomfortable, and the situation was in my head during the entire practice. To make matters worse, the same woman decided to place her mat directly next to mine. At the end of class, the instructor asked how class was and I let her know that I was uncomfortable because of what happened before the class began. She seemed shocked that I said something/that I felt this way. I know that yoga in western society is a predominately white female space, and it is not uncommon for me to be the only black woman/person in a yoga class. However, this situation was unlike anything I've ever experienced in a yoga studio or any other exercise facility for that matter. There are several other fitness options in this area that are actually welcoming, inclusive exercise *communities* (Zenergy Cycling, Level Red Boxing, Club Pilates). Tried out a Yoga Glo Candle and Aromatherapy class the other night, and I really loved it. The studio is very nice and clean. I'm also a sucker for exposed brick, and having the windows looking out over the city in the evening was really nice. Our instructor was amazing. She really talked us through all of the poses and variations, which as someone who is relatively new to yoga, I found very helpful. The class was informative and easy to follow, and I had a great time! 100% recommend :) read more

I'm so happy I found this yoga studio! Yoga Love Pittsburgh sets the temperature at around 80°F so you're nice and warm, but not dripping in sweat - a happy medium in my book. I arrived super early because I wasn't sure how finding parking would be, but I was able to find a spot walking distance from the studio. This is something to keep in mind when visiting because the only parking you can find near here is street parking. The location is easy to get to as its right above Spoon restaurant, you just have to dial in. I took a class with Kayla who was super friendly and experienced when it comes to yoga! She led an awesome class that was both challenging and meditative. I will definitely be coming here again! read more

They have some very talented instructors at Yoga Love, they are all so dedicated, creative and helpful. It's a small studio, and they work you hard, but you learn a lot. Parking can be challenging at times, but I don't have a problem with on street parking, especially if the class is after 6 pm or on Sunday. The space is inviting and comfortable. The other students are friendly. The staff is welcoming, encouraging and well trained. read more

I love this place, the teachers, the classes! I recently started practicing yoga and decided to take the new student special ($50 for unlimited classes in one month!). I had so much fun and my favorite teachers are Kayla, Tatum and Ali! The teachers guide all the classes and truly radiate good energy and the intention for the students to have a great experience. These classes have positively changed me physically and spiritually. I usually sweat a lot during but feel recharged after every class. They provide blocks and they also offer mat rental and lockers. I usually just bring my own mat. I am taking a break due to vacation but I'm planning to sign up for next month again! read more

I went to yoga love 3 times. Both instructors I had were friendly. However, neither ever gave any adjustments to the students in the class. Their website says that all of the classes are appropriate for students of any skill level, but it didn't seem that way since often the instructors were doing calling out advanced positions and not even demonstrating them let alone helping anyone in poor form or not getting the cues. Also the schedule has been unavailable to view online for several weeks. read more

Yoga Love has everything you need to sustain a good, regular practice. The space is clean and well laid out. The location is great. Props are provided if needed. Various styles of classes are offered. Trumping (please excuse me) everything else are the friendly and talented instructors. All of them are very knowledgeable go out of their way to help you advance your practice. Humor is often injected into classes. I have a 24 year practice and have attended yoga classes at more than 60 studios. Yoga Love is among the most enjoyable studios I have practiced in. read more

What a great studio! I started practicing here after wanting to incorporate a yoga practice into my routine, and have been attending classes weekly for about 2 months. All of the instructors are so nice, knowledgeable and respectful. It is nice knowing you can attend any class and have a supportive instructor leading you. A variety of different types of classes at a variety of times are offered which works well with a busy schedule. I usually walk here from where I live, but there is also 2 hour free parking in permit zones of some nearby side streets. My favorite class so far has been the Yoga Glo class, which is a vinyasa class accompanied by a candlelit room. read more

I love yoga heal for a great stretch the day after an intense workout and yoga love on Saturday mornings for an energizing start to the day! Newcomers: Take advantage of the $30/30 days deal! Never did I think I would love coming to a yoga studio, let alone a heated one. The talented instructors meet you at your level (mine was level 0!). I love Ria's Monday morning class and Joanna's Sunday yoga with weights. Yoga Love's beautiful space and energy made me and my solidly inflexible inexperienced bod feel accepted. They do make you work (some more than others, you'll learn), but I've enjoyed the sweat. Within six months of regular classes, I have noticed a huge difference in my body. Good and clean atmosphere. What I like the most there is the sunlight coming from the windows and the simple decoration. You don't have to bring your own mat, you can borrow from them and you clean it before putting it back. Normally week days in the morning there are not so many people so you have good space for yourself. read more

I found out about Yoga Love walking by on S. Highland. I'm currently taking advantage of their $30 - 30 day challenge. I've now experienced four different teachers and they're all wonderful. Highly recommended for beginner to advanced. Teachers walk around and make sure your form is good to reduce the risk of injury. Classes haven't been more than eight people. A+ in my book! read more

Yoga Love was my introduction to the practice, which started in 2018 and I haven't left. For a beginner and someone who is nervous to start new things, I found ease in attending yoga love classes learning the basics and then some at my own pace. And no mat required, they provide extras there along with props, (blocks, straps, tennis balls and rugs). The practice studio is spacious and warm (literally and figuratively!). The yoga strong classes especially, if you are looking for a sweat. Though I wouldn't call it hot yoga. No matter what class you take here, I find the instructors create a friendly environment. There is a real respect and encouragement for exploring ones' own body and practice, which is shown less with hands on adjustments and more with vocal cues during class. Though it's always welcomed by the instructors to ask and discuss poses and feelings in the body after class, which I found is where the real knowledge lies. There is nothing like learning what is right for you to take your practice deeper and the instructors here are well informed to get you there. Having been to different yoga studios, I think the teachers at Yoga Love are the best in terms of helping the students to do the poses correctly. I feel like my stability in holding poses and flexibility really improved greatly since going there. I like the one-hour structure also, good for a busy schedule. read more

The instructors are amazing. The classes are challenging and refreshing - they change up the routines each week. The Vinyasa classes are more aerobic than slow and meditative, which is what we were looking for.
