Went to Yogi's on a Tuesday night, and they were slammed due to an ad-hoc trivia night. Seating was difficult to find, but eventually my wife and I were able to find two bar seats where we could see first hand what an efficient front-of-the-house operation they have. The bar tenders, bar runners and wait staff were moving 80 miles per hour to serve their customers. Unfortunately, the back-of-the-house kitchen struggled to meet the demands of the public's apparently ravenous appetites. Our chicken nachos order took over an hour to arrive. (For what's it's worth, they tasted good when we eventually got them, but we starving to the point that we considered nearby White Castle and Taco Bell as appealing alternatives, so our judgement in that state was perhaps compromised.) The saving grace in that scenario was our bartender Leah who was doing the MOST (in a good way) on an injured knee. She communicated well with us and comped some of our items due to the excessive wait - a most appreciated gesture. Man are there a ton of big screen TVs in this place! always a great game or match to watch. Super friendly staff always quick to greet you on arrival. It does get busy on weekend late afternoon & nights, but I have rarely found seating to be an issue even at those times. Great variety of well prepared food, well stocked bar with some good premium selections available. This is not just any sports bar, they do kick it up a notch. The food is prepared quickly even when the place is busy and is well presented at the table. Staff are attentive and my experience has been that they regularly check back to "see how you're doing." Stopped by for happy hour w/friends. Drinks House Marg- 3/5 Titos & cranberry- 5/5 simple cant mess it up. $5 Ketel w/splash of gingerale & soda water- 4/5 Drinks okay. Not strong. Food- we got all shareable things Boneless wings (sweet and spicy) -4.5/5 two of us said five so we averaged. But crispy. Saucy and Good flavor. Chicken nachos- 4/5- everything tasted good it just doesn't have enough toppings. Once you get through the first layer of toppings, the bottom layer of the chips doesn't have much of anything on them. Had to order extra queso and Pico to finish. Southwest chicken salad- 5/5 delicious. The Tortillas were so good, chicken was juicy, overall crunchy, fresh and filling. All in all, really good food, decent drinks. Manhattan Sweet vermouth was stored properly and pulled from refrigeration, which reflects correct handling practices I was really excited until I saw the drink was not stirred or strained over fresh ice. It was built and served in rocks glass with NO GARNISH well maybe that's why the flavor and balance was off. The cocktail leaned sharp and thin because the whiskey, vermouth, and bitters did not harmonize. Technically assembled, but not balanced. A simple orange twist would have pulled everything together. Side Salad Standard mixed greens with shredded carrot and cucumber wedge. Served with pre-batched ranch dressing. Ingredients appeared bright, crisp, and fresh. Overall execution was visually pleasing but the dressing was unremarkable. Met baseline expectation for a side salad. Mac & Cheese Very creamy and heavily starchy in texture, suggesting slightly overcooked pasta. First bite delivered solid flavor with mild smoky note. After two bites, flavor flattened and became one-dimensional. Comfort-style execution without structural contrast. Beer Excellent lacing visible on the glass. Strong head retention and clear foam rings indicating clean glassware and solid carbonation. Technically the strongest element observed and the best part of the experience. Overall Predictable sports bar with perky waitresses and fleshy bartenders flirting with the attractive male guests. First time to dine here. Service was absolutely outstanding. The Servers tip share so a server is always there. The side of onion petals was our appetizer. They were mostly overcooked but the dipping sauce was so good!!! The tomato bisque was very good. Ceasars Salad crisp with fresh grated parm cheese....excellent. My husband had the Jamaican Jerk Tacos and Fries. He enjoyed it. The flavor was great and the fries were piping hot. Large parking area. Restrooms were clean and stocked. Work arranged a happy hour at Yogi's on a Friday afternoon - early evening. While our group had a good time I don't think Yogi's is the best suited for a come and go 40 people happy hour situation. We were over to the side with tables pushed against the wall. Some ended up sitting at tables outside when it got a bit crowded. The staff offered great service - making sure our group had drinks in hand and checking whenever someone was getting low/empty. Someone ordered a variety of appetizers which the ones I tried were all tasty - especially the pretzel sticks. I LOVE YOGI'S!!!!! I live nearby so this is my go-to sportsbar. I think their food quality sits wayyy above other chains in the area (Roosters, Bdubs, etc), you can tell just from ordering any of their appetizers that it's going to be good. I would personally recommend the pretzels, I get them everytime I go in and they actually give you enough cheese! I honestly love being able to pick where I sit and the servers always get to me quickly whether I'm in the middle or tucked in a corner. The food always comes quickly, is never cold, and they have never messed up my order. The servers are friendly and multiple people will check in on you if they see your drink is getting low/you might need the check. Plenty of TV's so you won't miss a minute of coverage and they have KENO. I would recommend this place to anyone who is a fan of sports bars because I am not sure if there is a better one in Columbus, honestly! Friends and I gathered here on a Saturday night to surprise another friend for his birthday. I had never been and wasn't sure what to expect. However, I arrived to discover a large sports bar, tons of televisions, a variety of seating, and a rather nice patio. Members of our group all staggered in at different times, but the staff allowed us to grab a large table right off the bat. Much appreciated! Six people turned to ten in an hour or so. Everyone ordered drinks and food and even though I didn't eat, everything looked good. My sister enjoyed her wings, even though she couldn't request more flats due to the wing shortage. Understandable, I know every industry is dealing with things like that. Everyone loved the pepperoni pizza too. The service was attentive from beginning to end, the restroom was clean, and everyone had a great time. I read a lot of these reviews on our way to meet friends at Yogi's for some NFL football. Sounded like the perfect place for that, according to what everyone was saying. It was a great atmosphere for football. Wow. From the moment we got out of the car, you could hear the fans cheering and yelling. The garage doors were open Benoit was a nice fall day outside. TVs for days. So many all over that it was actually hard to keep up with the 4-5 games going on at once. Cheers here and yells there. It was like my head was on a swivel! Great atmosphere for sports though. Tons of fans, all cheering for a variety of teams which was fun. The food was delicious. We got pretzel bites with beer cheese and chicken nachos to start. Since we were planning to be there for a while. Our server, Gemma, was very attentive and friendly. The pretzels and beer cheese were really good. The beer cheese is yummy! The chicken nachos were just as good as they looked. I love that they had tons of toppings AND they had both sprinkle cheese and liquid cheese. Yum! I like my flavored vodka and lemonade. They had tons of flavors so I was happy. The special on game days is listed as any flavor of 3 Olives for $4. I made the mistake of ordering what I normally get places, double in a tall glass. They actually charged me $8 each. Which is pretty pricey actually. At Roosters I get the same thing for $5.25 so I was kinda shocked at that. A white claw was $5.75 which I also thought was better pricey. So drinking there for a while game isn't cheap. After a few beverages we were ready for dinner. I got the Hot Sicilian sun with tots and my husband got the pepperoni and hot honey French bread pizza. We both enjoyed our meals very much. The hot Sicilian is a great Italian type sun with really good bread. Loved the tots option. Any time I can have tots that's what I go with. They were crispy and delicious. My husband loved his pizza. The hot honey was a lovely addition. In all. It's a great place. Drinks aren't cheap if you're wanting to drink for a whole game day. Unless you get the Budweiser's in a can. My first visit and it was a wonderful surprise. I was part of a large Meet and Greet group, around 20-25 people, who came and left at slightly different times. It should have been a nightmare for our waitress but she kept up with everything, food, drinks, refills and checking to make sure we had what we needed. And she did it with a smile the entire time. The food was typical bar food but it was good bar food. I had the double smash burger. You knew you were eating a hamburger, it came with choice of cheese, lettuce tomato and pickles. I chose tots for my side and they were crispy and not a bit greasy. So much food I had the 2nd half of my burger for lunch the next day and it was almost as good warmed up in the microwave. So glad this yogis is finally open this place it well lit, bright and illuminated. and when you come in the women bartenders look like supermodels People may not know but yogis replaces the old Average Joe's that used to be here. I do miss the root beer that they had but this place is very accessible and easy to get into even with a crowded environment you can still walk around. it's kind of weird that the kitchen is so far from the bar area so it makes it a little bit of a challenge for the bartenders. But it's great because the kitchen is open till 1:30 that gives them an advantage of a lot of places in the area it's late come and get your eat on. They make it a little bit unique the way they serve all of the servers are also bartenders, you won't have a host greet you at the door to try to sit you somewhere. They have an interesting concept when it comes to serving you don't have just one server all the tips are shared between all the servers so your tip doesn't just go to one bartender so whoever you talk to can assist you take your order they do it work as a team and they don't have certain tables. One of my favorite Parts is that they have phone chargers USB that you can have while you watch the game the music is great! The servers/ bartenders that work are pretty genuine they pretty much have their own kind of personality they don't really come at you with a fake personality. But they're real attentive and no one seems to have a big chip on their shoulder. The managers on duty are pretty aware of their surroundings and what's going on with customers. Came to Yogi's for the first time for a football Sunday. It was packed, which was fun for a football watching environment. The service was slow, but I can't fault them due to how busy it was. My one big complaint was that the sound was blasting - I couldn't hear anyone at my table. We started off with the mini corn dogs which were AMAZING. Mini corn dogs are one of my favorite foods and this, coupled with their Carolina gold mustard, may be the best I've ever had. So hot and crispy. I got a side of mac and cheese afterwards because I wasn't too hungry and it was creamy and good. Like Twin Peaks and Hooters it's a guaranteed 90/10 guy to girl ratio and the bartenders and servers are way friendlier than they should be given they are an 8 and you are a 5, formerly a 6. There's rarely a spot at the bar, but there's plenty of high top seating. Bring the party with you, it's not the type of spot you are going to meet someone new. I'll cut to the chase, if you want a solid B+ experience across the board every time, this is the place for you. Environment, ambiance, service, drinks, food, sports, patio, restrooms, people and vibes are always a B+. Yogi's may not be smarter than your average sports bar, but it's certainly smarter than Average Joes, the last joint in this spot which I felt was bland, loud, and uninspired. Fitting, situated in the old Borders Books store Henderson/Kenny, and all the book-worming bears that came through these doors for decades. Opened last fall, Yogi seems to be a big hit, being crowded every weekend. Much of the design is deja vu all over again as the majority of Joe's look was kept (Which I never criticized.) They did jut out the counter's left side giving a more bar centric gravity to the space, added a modern glass glister to the bar back, and gashed open the front for button up walls adding an alfresco feel in the warmer months. This connects to a patio making a synergetic whole to the place when the sun shines. Television at every angle, wooden table seating, and glowing beer sign fill out the bar. Ninety-percent of a sports bar is the atmosphere and TVs which seems palpable fun and plentiful,(and not blaring loud like Joes was) the other half is the staff. The bartenders here are superb. They come off as authentically happy to see you--the dictionary definition of charisma. They remember your name and smile as if you were a long list friend. They know their drinks, taps, and food offering like the back of their hands. If they keep service up like this no one will come because it will be too crowded. A nickel may not be worth a dime anymore but the quality of the food here for the price is a nice deal. I selected ( against my low sodium hydrop diet) their grilled bacon chicken club over their Nashville hot chicken which I had an eye on. But when you come to a fork in the road take it, so I went with the club.($10) It came out with a seductive aroma. The grilled chicken breast comes topped with smoked Applewood bacon (good,) cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and roasted jalapeno aioli (fantastic! Makes the sandwich.) For a buck extra I choose a mac and cheese side; it came in a unique style; in fact, it didn't look like mac&cheese but like a cheese soup. It was good but I have had better in many places in the city. Over all the meal was superb. So Yogi is a big improvement over Joes. It true that it's not over until it's over but it was over for this location of Joes. This is the third locale for Yogi--I need to try the others. The place is close to five stars; I'm trying not to over rate places like I seem to have been. I will be back to see how the atmosphere is during game day--this is the do or die for sports bars for me--how they are for Buckeye football. read more

I think this place has a lot of potential, but is still working out the kinks. Nice balance of indoor and outdoor seating and a long bar. The menu had some nice items and there's a specific menu for Ohio State games. We came in to beat the game day crowd (5:30 for an 8:30 game) and found the last two seats at the bar. It's crazy busy here! We didn't have one particular waiter/bartender, it was whoever came by (so we talked with about 4 people over the course of the meal). The music was SO loud which probably makes for an awesome experience during games but made it hard to chat otherwise. I got the boneless wings, hot bbq. This wasn't very hot IMO but the meat was good. The wings aren't very big so you may want more than 10 if that's all you're ordering. My fiancé got the Italian sandwich, which was pretty small for $10 and he left hungry. Overall, I have a feeling the reviews will change once everyone gets in the groove of the business. read more

Staff lacks leadership management and supervision. Made clear when my drink that sat empty at our table for :20 and the fact I bussed our table was brought to our servers attention she argued with me. Never in my life have I been served by someone who was arguing while being dead wrong. Tried to speak to management and got a lame excuse from someone clearly not qualified to be in that position. Looks like their success has gone to their heads and soon alienating regulars who genuinely love the place will not end well. I tried to call to discuss this pathetic situation but you can't leave a message on their voice mail. I've run a million miles behind a bar managed and owned them as well. This is the place to be on gameday! I never went here when it was average Joe's but Yogi's must be doing well here because everytime I drive passed it on gameday, the parking lot is overloaded! We went on a kind of cold and rainy day and sat out on the patio while the inside was packed. They had good gameday beer specials and lots of tv's outside to watch the game. DJ playing music at halftime and on commercial breaks with quick snaps back to the game sound as soon as the commercial breaks were over. During the entirety of the game, we were very surprised since we were outside, how many different servers came out to make sure we were good on drinks. I had a bucket of beers so it was pretty easy to see when I did/didnt need to be checked on but hey I appreciated them continuing to come out and check. The downfall came at the time of the check. The game was a blowout so we went to leave a little early. Our servier disappeared, all of a sudden the servers stopped coming out to the patio. I had to go inside, find a random server at the cashier station and ask her for my bill so we could leave. Other than that, great experience with lots of fans! read more

Fun place to watch a game. Good sandwiches, but they are really tiny for the price. I had a pot roast sandwich, and it was small and pretty skimpy on the pot roast.
