Donerick's Pub is a local bar. It has a few locations in Columbus. This is one of the better locations. It's close to a few other bars. The drinks are cheap and it's good to watch games and act like an idiot. I always get one of the weekly specials they always have. It has good Long Island iced teas. These are made with cheap liquor but they are very strong though. It's pretty cheap. These are about $3 sometimes. They have other specials through the week. Another favorite is PBR on Mondays. This location has a kitchen so you can get food unlike most of the others. It also lets you bring in outside food. It's a fun place fir watching a game. There's a bunch of big TVs along the walls. In an area with lots of bars Donerick's Pub is easy to forget about. It's mostly popular with the nearby residents. The people are friendly usually.

Not long ago I moved to Clintonville and decided to check out this local bar. My first impression upon entering is it is a dive bar. The beer selection isn't very large. They have a kitchen and the pizza is actually pretty good. I've heard the subs are good too, but I have yet to order one. On Friday nights they have karaoke and a lot of regulars turn up to preform. Which brings me to the best part of Donericks. The people. The bartenders are fantastic at making customers feel like they are at home. The bartender Dani in particular seems to know everyone that enters name and has become friends with everyone that comes through the door. Which helps explain why so many of the same faces are there every week. One criticism I'd have for Donericks is they always seem under staffed. The bartenders do a great job, but there is always only 1 there and they run back and forth more often than a professional soccer player! Donericks is a really fun place that's I am glad I found and visit often.

Great place for beverages with your friends while you watch a game. Lots of tvs and good surround sound. They often have free excellent food on big game days or holidays including brisket, corned beef, smoked ribs, and sides. Lots of fun with corn hole, billiards, darts, skee ball, and more! Staff is nice and always ready to serve. Great local watering hole.

The parking lot was full and I…read morewas lucky enough to get the last table which happened to be a high wooden table with high chairs. The two others in my party did not like the seating. It's a sports bar, with lots of TV screens but surprisingly low lighting. Lighting never effected my drinking and the "House Margaritas ($7)" had no trouble going down. The waitresses are super friendly and got more social as the evening progressed. My drinking partners had no problems with the hospitality. As for the food, Hey! it's bar food. Pot Roast sandwich ($15.50), Chicken Quesadilla ($13.25), I had the blackened Cobb salad. The chicken was seasoned well, the lettuce was crisp and all the other ingredients were fresh as well. There was a choice of dressings brought on the side and I went with the Italian dressing. It surprised me but I really enjoyed the blackened Cobb salad. I'll be back.

Seating was…read moredifficult to find, but eventually my wife and I were able to find two bar seats where we could see first hand what an efficient front-of-the-house operation they have. The bar tenders, bar runners and wait staff were moving 80 miles per hour to serve their customers. Unfortunately, the back-of-the-house kitchen struggled to meet the demands of the public's apparently ravenous appetites. Our chicken nachos order took over an hour to arrive. (For what's it's worth, they tasted good when we eventually got them, but we starving to the point that we considered nearby White Castle and Taco Bell as appealing alternatives, so our judgement in that state was perhaps compromised.) The saving grace in that scenario was our bartender Leah who was doing the MOST (in a good way) on an injured knee. She communicated well with us and comped some of our items due to the excessive wait - a most appreciated gesture. On less crowded/themed evenings, there's an abundance of TVs and food/drink specials for your sports viewing pleasure.

And I love that the portions don't get smaller just because it's happy hour. You're still getting the full-size portions, which is a huge plus in my book! The patio is also really pretty and makes for such a nice atmosphere, and our service was great. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu. I can definitely see this becoming one of my go-to spots for girls' nights and date nights!

TL/DR Great food but rude server and very loud atmosphere…read more We had a reservation for 5:45 for a party of 7. There is literally no where to stand while you wait for your table...and wait we did. We were shown to our table at 6:10. The hostess told us they had a party of 30 and party of 40, so we tried to be understanding but also-they accepted the reservations-so kind of on them. Our server had an attitude from the moment she approached our table. She was waiting on one of the parties, but still... We were sitting in the back room and it was LOUD. Like couldn't hear other people at our own table loud. We had an older person in our party and when we asked our server to come to the other side of the table so he could hear her, she didn't-so she ended up misunderstanding and bringing him the wrong drink. There was a guy who we *think* may have been a manager hanging around, but he never did a table touch, so hard to tell. We had questions because gluten free food is offered but not marked on the menu or online, it said ask your server. She was annoyed but we have allergies so...I will say they have really good gluten free options; however when we reconfirmed that she had gotten the gluten free bun she was annoyed again. The only reason I gave 2 stars (the one redeeming quality) was the food. It was all excellent and cooked perfectly. The server didn't come back to check how things tasted-but someone in our party flagged her down to get lemon wedges for her seafood pasta. The waitress literally rolled her eyes, grabbed lemons wedges from the bar and brought them in a cup that she slammed down and walked away without a word. We ordered dessert because we were there to celebrate a birthday. Before dessert came, our server cashed us all out. This is what put me over the edge: WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING she slammed down a reserved sign. When we started standing up, she picked it up. Most restaurants allow for 90 minutes for reservations to turn a table. We were only at the table for 70, so we totally weren't lingering. I might give this place another try because the food was so good, but because of this experience, I'd definitely think twice.

I stopped in on a Friday night to hear Alex Sings, and even though I came solo, I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. It's the perfect place to unwind after a long week, enjoy a good meal, and listen to live music. I ordered the Friday special, and it was a great value. The chicken tenders were fresh, hot, and well seasoned. Bobby, the bartender, took my strawberry Smirnoff to the next level by adding pineapple juice and strawberry Pucker--it was absolutely delicious! The service is what really stood out. Joey, the owner, and Bobby, the bartender, have got to be two of the coolest guys I've met in a while. They were super personable, down-to-earth, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. What really earned my 5-star rating was learning that they donate their leftover food to people in need every week. I love supporting businesses that give back to the community. They also host Wing It & Sing It Karaoke on Wednesdays, and after this experience, I'm looking forward to coming back to check that out too. Joey's Place has fresh food, great drinks, genuine hospitality, and a laid-back atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!
