My biggest gripe is that the "Bucket of Shrimp" appetizer is literally eight (8) pieces of shrimp on a bed of a bucket of ice. Overall a pretty good experience. Came in on a busy Friday night and was seated promptly. Very open with TVs but not incredibly loud. Our server was wonderful, very friendly and personable. She seemed to be stretched pretty thin with tables all over- not around for drink refills or check-ins. Overall food was delicious. They do have a heated patio and I ended up sitting at the bar as per the host suggested. Their menu cover some variety from appetizers to entrée and dessert. I got an order of Wings with BBQ sauce and the Chicken Parmesan. The overall flavor of the Chicken Parmesan is on the stronger side and I could use a little bit more sauce on the pasta. The panko crusted chicken did maintain the crispiness and good with the tomato sauce and the cheese. I also like their Wings as well. Juicy and they have a good smokey BBQ sauce. read more

Great little chain restaurant in the heart of Clintonville. Staff is amazing. We love sitting at the bar talking to Daniel. He's wonderful and very friendly. Went today for grand daughters birthday get together. My wife and I are hot browns fans and this is the "go to" on Sunday. Today was a major league disappointment with them. Our son in law also ordered it. Straight away I noticed the fake turkey. I knew it was Boarshead or whatever not "roasted turkey" meat at all. I said to him, "so what do you think about this here turkey" he goes....ummm lunchmeat. Yep, it was crap, garbage. The sauce was flat and the entire dish was put together like a moron did it. I enjoy the Rusty Bucket, and the Clintonville location is probably my favorite. Inside is kind of dim and it can either have a pub feel, or a more comfortable feel, depending on when you go and where you're seated. I love their patio. It's covered, and is indoor/outdoor and they have a fireplace and ceiling heaters, so it's nice for most of the year. RB does a good happy hour. Half off appetizers and some drink specials. My book club meets here during HH, preferably on the patio and has an appetizer bonanza. I love the peel and eat shrimp. Cold shrimp boiled in Old Bay or similar and served with both cocktail sauce and a remoulade. Messy, but tasty, and they did bring out extra wet naps as standard. From other visits, the fish and chips is solid, and I enjoyed the chicken and waffles, though it could use a little something for more flavor. I went with a friend to have brunch and watch a game and it was relatively quiet that morning, and we, again, enjoyed hanging out on the patio drinking coffee and watching the game. read more

A friend of mine and I decided to give Restaurant Week a go. Rusty Bucket was easy and their menu looked good so we arrived there around 5:30pm for dinner. We were seated right away and could confirm that everyone was wearing masks, the tables were spaced out, and plastic barriers were in place. It took awhile for our waitress to get to the table but she was sweet and bubbly and working her butt off. She was seriously the only server we saw on the floor the entire time. As for the food, it was three stars at most. The brussel sprouts were amazing and I would come back for them in a heartbeat. The rest of it was just meh. I ordered the salmon with rice and veggies and a soy glaze for my entree. It came out totally cold to the touch (my plate and my friends actually), so we had to ask them to be heated up. By then the sauce was totally dried up and the rice was hard. At that point I was looking forward to dessert. I ordered what was described at a chocolate creme brulee. I was intrigued at first, but when it arrived as a bowl of chocolate pudding with marshmallow fluff, I legit laughed. The way restaurants describe food these days **face palm** like don't call it a creme brulee. The best part was that we went on a Wednesday and Wednesday is whiskey night. $7 for any whiskey they have. We started off with an appetizer of chicken fingers with honey mustard and barbecue sauce. Delicious! I burned my mouth because I couldn't wait for them to cool down - they were just too good and I was too hungry. The fries were yummy because they were slightly seasoned and not too salty. Of the two sauces, I liked the honey mustard better. The BBQ sauce didn't have as strong of a flavor. I ordered the Chicky Chicky Bowl without cheese for my entree. Ordering bowls makes me a little nervous because I never know if it'll be decently portioned. This bowl did not disappoint! After mixing in the dressing, it was pretty big. I loved all the ingredients. The variety of textures from the chicken and pine nuts to the sweetness from the vegetables, my stomach was living its best life. On the fullness scale, I was a happy 8/10. My boyfriend ordered the Beer Cheese Burger. (He was accidentally given fries when he asked for cole slaw, but our server fixed us up once he realized the mistake.) He very much enjoyed his burger. It was filling, but he pushed it to the limit and ordered the strawberry cheesecake. It hit the spot and he was incredibly full. This was my first time here and I had an awesome experience. My family and I have loved to come here since I was young but I came here tonight for a birthday dinner and I feel like there are many things to note. I'm gonna start with the positive things... the outside patio was nice and warm. Our server was great! Fast and reliable. Her service was great! Now the bad... the food which is usually good, was nasty tonight. First off, they took the peel and eat shrimp off of the menu and replaced it with a bucket of shrimp that had SEVEN shrimp. For 15 dollars, that is ridiculous!! We had more plates on the table than shrimp in the "bucket of shrimp." For an appetizer, each person to get ONE shrimp is terrible! Very disappointing!! The coleslaw was sour, the fish was tough to the point we need a saw to cut through it, the fries were cold, the chicken parm noodles were covered in this weird sauce that was very distasteful! A lot of problems with the food tonight. This is terribly disappointing since the food is usually phenomenal! We usually go to J luis and this is proof that apparently we need to go spend our money there instead. To be honest, my dad could have cooked a better meal than what we received tonight. read more

I recently went to the Rusty Bucket for the first time and it didn't disappoint. Me and my fiancé stopped in after a night out because it was near by and looked good plus we love to try new things and when we walked in we got greeted immediately by the host and while she was going to check for the table the manager made super we got helped. We sat right down with no wait and within minutes our server came out and he was so kind and helpful. Honestly one of the best servers I ever had. He got our drinks out to us fast, we ordered a bottle of wine because Tuesday nights are half off bottles of wine and it was a good price! The food came out pretty quickly. Everything was delicious. It all came out hot, cooked correctly and everything we ordered. The manager even thanked us for coming and dining with them while we ate. Very good atmosphere. In December, we had a group Christmas party here - using their private room. Service and food were excellent. Recently. I met two associates here for a business lunch and sat on the patio. They have more than 15 different brands of bottled and can beers. I had one 16 oz. draft, $6.79. They serve mainly bar food, pizza, burgers, soups and salads. and various sides. The Rusty Bucket has an English/Irish vibe and once you get settled it is hard to leave. Well, that one draft led to another draft and their signature Bacon Burger, $13.99. My daughter had one cocktail. The Bacon Burger consists of bacon-infused, cheddar, caramelized onions. lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli. It does not look like a Vegetarian Life is in my near future. Easton restaurant: The Hostess with the attitude and missing waiter.. We were told a 20 minute wait, which was fine for a part of 5. The restaurant had several areas closed. As we watched at least two parties of 4 get seated before us in the "closed sections". When we asked if we could be seated as others before us were, they put us in the back of the restaurant at a table under the AC. When we asked to move, they put us at a same size table closer to the middle... We ordered soft drinks, and cocktails and Spinach Con Queso, drinks came one short soft drink and no Spinach Con Queso. No place setting, no App missing waiter. Main course finally comes out, 3 plates....wait... 1 plate..... ask for utensils.... Wait any finally 5th plate. Still no app and no waiter Waiter only stops by once for refills during our meal... and the hostess keeps walking by, not to ask if we are all set, just to look at us out of the side of her eye. Baby K wanted mac and cheese, and I wasn't in the mood for Hot Chicken, so we came here. Expecting run of the mill, we pretty much got it. What I did not expect was that it would be packed on a Sunday night. Some special? Watching the game? I don't know. Drinks were not refilled promptly. Check took forever. We weren't in a big hurry, and I understand they were busy, but come on, drinks and checks aren't hard. The food was good, not great. The mac and cheese was standard elbows, but clearly made with real cheese. She loved it, I tried it and liked it. She also got a fruit cup that was, again, good-not-great. Underripe pineapple, strawberries, and melon. She ate a bit, but I have seen her devour good fruit cups. I went with fish, to compare with OBON; it had been awhile since I'd had Rusty Bucket's. Decent chunks, but smaller than at OBON. Good fish, cooked well, with a good tartar sauce. I swapped onion rings for fries, and they were, again, good but not stellar. The atmosphere was nice enough. Though they were busy, it wasn't super noisy. The TVs were too far away to really watch a game. It's dark and welcoming.
