Please don't take your dogs here they abuse them. Took my dog here for years every tine I got him in the car he would start shaking and pee in my seat when I arrived he did not want to get off the car I just figured that he didn't like getting groomed. But years later I got another dog and walking them both inside they would both pull me not to go inside that's when I realized that something was wrong I felt so bad and sad that I didn't see the signs my dog was giving me they are mean to the dogs here and I am sure they abuse them my dogs were terrified they never wanted to go inside. We've been coming here for many years. The owner can be a bit stand offish at first but he quickly became friends with my dad. My parent's small dog(s) have always been easy enough. However, I have a large dog that is anxious. They usually let me stay and sit in the line of sight for my dog so she doesn't freak out as much. Which I know is inconvenient for them, so I really appreciate the extra effort on that. read more

I am writing this review to tell ppl to not bring their dogs here. I been bringing my dog here the past year and no one has ever told me there's an issue about my dogs behavior until now when I tried to book an appointment. The guys on the phone answered angry and I gave him my dogs name and he said that he had told my boyfriend that we can't bring our dog back because he bites and even when he gives my dog cough medicine to calm him down he is a liability. WTF!!!!??? You have my dog cough medicine instead of calling me all those times, my bf had no idea as well. He was at work and asked me to book the appointment so when I called him he was confused. Anyways fuck this place and their practices and the way they handled my dog, I will find another place that can communicate with me and not Fucken drug my dog!!!!! read more

I called yogi's doggie Spaw for a bath and haircut this was my first time going here they charged pricey for my puppy golden doodle. I asked for a trim and told them to call me if they are going to shave him. (I only wanted a light trim) when I pick him up he was shaved down and once we get home later we see this around his eye. When we picked up my dog the groomer was so rude telling us that we didn't advise our dog bites. Our dog has never bitten anyone nor is he vicious. We went home and then noticed his eye was inflamed and red, we took him to the vet and they advised us he had trauma to his eye. I went on yelp to his reviews and there is an exact same scenario on the reviews of another dog having trauma to the eye. This place should be closed down and taken away from this guy that doesn't even like dogs. If you love your dog please DONT BRING THEM HERE! read more

It took me a long time to come around and give this review but if you care about your dogs, don't bring them here. I took all 3 of my dogs here for several years and they always were so hesitant to get through to door and I figured I mean they're hesitant when I wash them at home so didn't think too much of it knowing their temperaments towards baths for years. I would say hair cut wise, I am a super easy client, I showed up to my appointments on time, I never once complained about their haircuts, all 3 of them got buzz cuts, pretty basic. Everything was fine until one day I brought home my dogs and were playing, giving them treats after a bath like I always do. I see my mini schnauzer act super weird like he can't see and running into things. I took him to our vet and he asked me did he get into a fight? did he run into something? any trauma experienced? I was like no??? All he does is spend time with the other dogs and his only outings are under my supervision on walks and his only time he had been without my direct supervision was from when I took him here for an appointment that same day. The vet explained it's possible they could have gotten mad at him and hit him or he ultimately experienced some sort of trauma to his eye where a blood vessel had burst. This is incredibly heart breaking knowing I trusted this groomer for years. read more

No dog grooming shop will care for your dog the way this place does . And doesn't try to upsale me ! I wanted to shave my dog (already has short hair) and Art the owner offered a cheaper option called a clean up . He said the dogs hair will still be short enough for the summer but it's not as expensive as a full shave. My dog brownie left with a great confidence boost ! Love this shop! read more

I have now noticed that he does not like doing a scissors cut he will shave and say you're dog was matted which she was not then told me the dog he was currently working on the owner neglected him and said I did too made me feel bad because I brush her every day. Nonetheless I said well it's getting warmer maybe it would be fine. I didn't like the feeling he left on me so I will not be going back. My dog did come back with fleas and was cut short. read more

I would absolutely give ZERO stars if that was an option. Brought my little Yorkie here (not matted) and this was our 4th and last visit. Every time I ask for a trim and they return her looking like a Chihuahua. If you love a "shaven dog look" this is the right place (every picture posted has a clean shaven dog). I am not sure why they have a fear of using scissors they only clip and shave the hell out of your dog. And to make matters worse they have fleas in their shop. Like a serious infestation. My husband tried taking our Shepksy to a few other groomers and our 2 1/2 year old pup was scared to walk in. My husband feared the anxiety she was displaying and gave up. I called Yogi's today to see if they take larger breed dogs and I was told to bring her right in. I was a little nervous but the warm welcome we received when we entered the shop put us all at ease. As I filled out paperwork I peaked around the corner and there she was already in the tub getting bathed with tongue hanging out. I will definitely be taking her back to Yogi's. The owner was very knowledgeable about her breed and she was sitting calmly in the back room when we got there just an hour after we dropped her off, wagging her tail. I can tell by his demeanor with her that she was in good care because he made our dog feel at ease. She came out with her pink handkerchief, nails trimmed, de shedded, teeth brushed, and a nice shiny good smelling coat! I've been driving past this place for years before I even had dogs. After getting a dog I started grooming them on my own. Well of course I had an accident while trimming my dogs nails. After that I promised that I would never trim their nails again. I'm so glad I decided to give this place a try. I've taken both of my dogs here and have not had any problems. I have a regular groomer but could not get my Zowie in until next week. So, I decided to call this place. Spoke with Art the owner for appointment, I took my Zoe in and he was a bit rude when I was trying to explain to him how I wanted her cut. I told him I wanted her to define her bangs from her ponytail. I wanted her ears trimmed and her coat trimmed as well. I went to pick her up and her ponytail was going forward in her eyes instead of towards the back. Her ears where way to short when I ask for them to only trim them, not to mention uneven. He slammed open the kennel and handled my Zow a bit rough because I complained. I was going to pay and told him I would never be back. He then started arguing with me, so I grabbed my dog and left. He asked me.... so your not going to pay? I said absolutely not! He then asked me if I do this to all the groomers...I was so taken back that I just had to write this review. read more

My mom has taken our dogs here ever since they opened because it is walking distance from her house and is 'big dog friendly'. Which was perfectly ideal as our golden would get terribly stressed in cars and it was more convenient to walk her over than to put her through the trauma of a car ride. We'd ask for simple, breed specific cuts and summer cuts. Our golden has come home before with matts still behind her ears, as if they hadn't properly been brushed out. Another time, when my golden was playing in the sprinklers, she started getting all sudsy. Poor thing had had dried shampoo against her sensitive skin the whole time! Our golden passed, but old habits die hard and still my mother returned to this groomer. More recently our other dog, a 125lb newfoundland came home with a HUGE gash under her neck. It was so bad my brother had to take her to get it looked at. NO ONE AT THE SHOP HAD BROUGHT THIS TO OUR ATTENTION. This remarkable gash had crusted over with dried blood and had blended into her very dark coat, lost among the natural folds of her skin. This dog is a huge baby and I can only imagine how traumatizing this experience must have been. I know for a fact that my girl screamed and by the look of it, this cut had bled considerably. Someone had just cleaned her up and pushed on through, never considering that perhaps we'd have liked to know about it. Her skin was also blazing red along her underside. Apparently this treatment towards their canine clients is a reoccurring thing. What a shame. Upon pickup she has always grabbed the leash and pulled us furiously towards the door. I chalked it up to typical nerves but we've simply had enough. Your groomer sliced my dog and your staff betrayed our trust. Deplorable service. I regret that we hadn't changed groomers sooner. We won't be back. read more

Took my puppy for the first time here for nail trimming (he has had his nailed trimmed twice before at the vet and didn't think there was that much of an issue) to avoid the vet charges i thought we would try Yogis Doggie Spaw and never will go back!!
