Staying in her bed for our road trip

I had been bringing my doggies to Pampered Paws for grooming for years; they are a great team, family owned and always accommodating. I recently booked 1:1 training classes with Liz for my stubborn doxie, Ella has learned so much in a matter of weeks. Liz has been great training both Ella and her owner!

Burger at the AKC STAR puppy class!

I started coming here with my older dachshund who was kicked out of the PetsMart grooming services he didn't bite but he HATED his nails clipped and would throw his body everywhere and was impossible. I took him here and they were so kind and loving with him, they knew just what to do to help him and were always able to cut his nails! After he passed away, we got a new dachshund puppy and enrolled in the AKC STAR puppy course. Our first week he barked the whole time, I was so overwhelmed I thought there way no way I would be able to train him! But with Liz's help, he became a completely different dog in 6 weeks! He actually passed the STAR puppy exam and is much better behaved at home and on walks. Highly recommend this place for grooming, daycare, and training! If we ever need boarding services this is the only place I would take my dog. Tracy and the whole team are pet lovers, it really shows.

If you are currently searching for daycare, training or grooming pampered paws is the best place for your furry loved one! Not only is it convenient to have all services in one place we know when we drop off Mamba, he's in great hands. The team genuinely cares about the well being of your furry ones. We have attended training classes and private lessons with Liz which we could not recommend enough!!! We are so thankful for all the work Liz puts in with us & Mamba. Liz truly cares about the success between you and your pup. Liz goes beyond the scope of your class by offering pack walks which not only allows for socializing but is so much fun. We only wish we signed up with Liz sooner so don't put it off go sign up for an upcoming class!

Pup after his first puppy bath

I came across this place while looking for dog training classes for my pup and I am sure glad I did! After visiting for the dog training inquiry, I have had my pup groomed (puppy grooming, not a full grooming service), attend day care, and currently attend AKC STAR puppy classes here. Every time I bring my pup here, everyone greets us with open arms and they are very good with him. For a pup who doesn't like to be separated from me, he sure enjoys going here and is not scared when I drop him off. When we took our pup for his first puppy bath, he got a bath, nail and sanitary trim as he was too young for a full grooming. They finished with his bath quicker than I expected and I was happy to see that he was not traumatized after his first grooming! (Which shows they were gentle and very good with the lil boy) During daycare, the workers are very attentive to the pups and you can watch them throughout the day on their live camera feeds on their website. You'll see that they are always in there playing with the pups and making sure no one is getting into trouble. During the puppy classes, Josh (the trainer) is very attentive and answers any questions any of us parents have. He also gives tips and advice on how to best train our pups and makes sure everyone is reassured about their pups the whole time. Overall, whether it's grooming, day care or training, I highly recommend this place!

    AKC STAR Puppy Class

This place has it all !!! We reached out for training classes for our new puppy Monty and the owner,Tracy, was so responsive and very knowledgeable. We are currently in the AKC STAR puppy class, taught by Liz, and our baby Monty enjoys every bit of it! The class is a great size and has been very helpful with our training journey. Liz and Tracy have been so sweet to our Monty and have really made him feel safe in daycare and boarding as well! The facility is very clean and you can check in on your fur baby through their facility live feed. Additionally they are affordable, very responsive, and genuinely do their best to make you and your fur baby succeed!

I've been bringing my dog Luna to Pampered and Paws for over 6 years, and Ashley has always gone above and beyond to accommodate Luna's health needs. Not only does she take great care of her, but Luna always looks amazing after each grooming visit.

    We love Pampered Paws!!

We had to board our puppy for the first time while heading out on a 7-day cruise. She has had separation anxiety issues in the past, and been a bit shy, so I was nervous about how she would do. Needless to say, the shy puppy we dropped off transformed into a playful member of the pack! I cannot recommend Pampered Paws enough, for daycare, boarding, grooming and training. This place is a gem and we feel so fortunate to have found it! And Bear looks forward to visiting for daycare moving forward

It's hard to find a groomer that does bigger dogs in the area and it's even harder to find a groomer that knows how to handle double coated dogs. What I appreciated about this place is they asked for proof of vaccination and checked for it. They also had my mom (she dropped my dog off) fill out a questionnaire before taking my dog. I've tried about 4 other groomers and none of them have done this. They always ask for proof of vaccination, but never check. The last groomer I was going to suggested a summer cut for my dog which was a pretty close shave which isn't recommended for double coated dogs. When my mom dropped my dog off here, she mentioned that and they said not to worry. They did a thorough job with him and he came back fluffy, but definitely cleaned up. Price was reasonable ($65 for the whole thing and my dog is roughly 40 pounds). My dog is pretty docile and gets along with everyone due to his age, but both my mom and I were impressed how staff handled him. When my mom dropped him off, one of the women came to our car to get him and she simply scooped him up while he didn't squirm (which he does with me!). My dog has a limp and needs assistance getting on and off the car so it was nice staff easily helped. And when I came to pick my dog up, he was too scared to leave the cage (intimidated of walking past the bigger dogs), but one of the women was able to coax him out and he jogged over to me once he saw me. I'm pretty happy with this place, but I wish all the staff wore masks. Orange County doesn't have a mandate so it's up the business. If you're very COVID conscious, I'm sure they wouldn't object to accommodating a pick up and drop off situation to your car outside (just pay in cash). They are also very busy to book in advance, but I will say my dog's first trip made the wait worth it.

    Freshly groomed!

Overnight boarding: you get a full webcam access to their suite whenever your pet is in there. The big dog area looks very spacious and the staff told me my dog LOVED the bath they gave afterwards. My dog is currently struggling to keep her eyes open after picking her up from boarding, so that's a great sign. My only gripe is the option for a bath doesn't come with a brush out or anything. Not even as an add on service. It's literally just a bath and they dry your dog in a kennel dryer. But for $30 on top of boarding, I'll take that bath option any day of the week and brush my dog at home.

After a previous negative experience, my fiancé and I waited several months before bringing our…read moredog, Posie, back to daycare. We decided to give this facility another chance because she genuinely loves playing with other dogs, and daycare seemed very different from overnight boarding. Before returning, we made it very clear to staff that because of our previous experience, we wanted to be contacted immediately about any issues involving Posie, no matter how minor. Staff assured us they would communicate with us, and based on those conversations, we felt comfortable trying daycare again. We had a few uneventful visits, but our most recent experience raised serious concerns and brought back many of the same issues we experienced before. We dropped Posie off around 2:30 PM for Day Camp. Around 3:55 PM, I checked the daycare cameras and noticed that she was nowhere to be found in the large playgroup area that we had paid for. Concerned, we contacted the facility to ask where she was. Initially, we were told that Posie had been placed in a holding area while staff handled transfers and departures. Later, a supervisor called us and explained that because Posie is "rambunctious," she had been separated into holding crates while staff completed other responsibilities. During the conversation, he stated that she had been there since arrival. This was frustrating because it meant our dog had spent a significant portion of her daycare visit separated from the group without our knowledge. Had this been communicated to us, we could have made an informed decision about whether daycare was the right fit that day. What was particularly concerning was that it appeared Posie's situation was only addressed after we noticed she was missing from the cameras and contacted the facility ourselves. While we were still on the phone with staff, we observed Posie being brought back into the play area on a leash. This left us wondering whether she would have remained in the holding area even longer had we not checked the cameras and called. When I expressed concern about how long Posie had been confined, the supervisor focused on correcting my estimate, explaining that because her drop-off was at 2:30 PM, she had "technically" only been there for about 90 minutes. The issue was never whether it was 90 minutes or two hours. The issue was that our dog had spent a significant portion of the daycare session separated from the activities we were paying for without any communication to us. What made the explanation confusing was that Posie has attended daycare here multiple times, and staff had always given us positive feedback about her interactions with other dogs. We had never been told she was disruptive, difficult to manage, or unable to participate in daycare. The first time her behavior was presented as a concern was after we discovered she had been separated from group play, which left us confused by the sudden change in messaging. Another part of the conversation that left me frustrated was when the supervisor told us that it seemed the facility was unable to meet our needs and suggested that perhaps this was not the right place for our dog. We had not yet spoken with management, nor had anyone attempted to address the concerns we were raising before suggesting that we take our business elsewhere. This also brought back concerns from a previous daycare visit. On that occasion, Posie came home with a wound on her leg that our veterinarian indicated was consistent with a bite or tooth abrasion from another dog. Thankfully it was not severe, but the skin was punctured and required monitoring. We were never contacted about the injury, and when we asked staff about it afterward, we were told there was no report of any incident occurring. That previous experience was one of the main reasons we stopped bringing Posie here for several months. We eventually decided to give the facility another chance because she enjoys socializing with other dogs and hoped the prior incident was isolated. Unfortunately, after this most recent experience, many of the same concerns resurfaced. Another concern is the overall level of supervision during busy periods. During our recent phone call, staff repeatedly described the environment as chaotic and explained that they were managing multiple responsibilities at once. As a customer, that left me wondering whether there are enough staff members available to supervise the number of dogs present while simultaneously handling transfers, cleaning, pickups, and other duties. Finally, during the last two daycare visits, Posie was returned to us completely soaked and smelling strongly of urine. We were told that staff regularly clean and mop the play areas, but both times we felt the need to bathe her immediately upon arriving home because of the odor. I am currently waiting to speak with management and hope these concerns are taken seriously.
