I'm so happy this business exists, since I was having trouble finding a car for my behind the wheel test, being new to the country and city. Dashka was my driver and she was excellent, cordial, funny and knew what needed to be done at the DMV. Her car was clean and she explained all about it, so I would be familiarized with it before the test. I believe YoGov should provide the customer a profile of the concierge, since I knew nothing about Dashka up until I met her. I recently moved to the states for studies. Being an international student, I don't own a car, neither do I have any friends who do. But, in order to get the driving license or even appear for the driving test here in the states, you would need a car and a licensed driver (if only getting the car wasn't hard enough). It's the typical catch-22 situation imo. Since I don't have the license I can't rent a car (with reasonable prices/efforts), also the driving schools cost so much with their lessons and everything. Then comes in YoGov. Honestly, it couldn't get any better than this. They provide you with the designated driver and car. The driver will pick you up an hr earlier to get you comfortable around the DMV location. This extra hour of practice, in particular, helps a lot. I had some questions/concerns about their existing system, but after talking to Ryder (CEO) I felt relieved. DO NOT USE YOGOV ROAD TEST CONCIERGE SERVICE IN THE STATE OF MASSACHUSSETS. IT IS ILLEGAL AND WILL COST YOU YOUR ROAD TEST. I purchased YoGov's Road Test Concierge for a road test that was coming up really soon. I also wanted to purchase an extra 1 hour of warm up with the car and wanted to schedule it for the day before the road test. The contact person (Fiona) informed me that in order to have a warm up session scheduled on a different day I would need to book the two hour instead. So I did, yet YoGov paired me with two different drivers and they both could not do the session prior to the day of the road test. Already pretty fishy, but since I was desperate for a car and sponsor for this road test, I let it slide. On the day of the (FIRST) road test, we were denied the test and was told to reschedule because the examiner did not allow us to take the test because according to him the 2018 Camry E-Brake was not up to regulation standard. (total BS) So we rescheduled and I luckily got another test the next day. We went down to this site and was going through the pre-test check up on the car, the brake, insurance and sponsor license. As the DMV staffs were doing checkups, my sponsor told them that he worked with a company called YoGov and that he has provided this sponsor service for a while and that his car has been approved for road test all over MA. As soon as the DMV person heard "YoGov" she immediately contacted the branch that does the licensing for driving schools in the state and confirmed that YoGov does not posses the necessary licenses to conduct those type of businesses in the state of Massachussets. She even called the state attorney general to double check and also confirmed that YoGov is conducting business illegally in the state of Massachussets. I was denied of a road test and was told to reschedule again. Even the sponsor was not aware of the legality of the services he was providing, he told me he was going to stop working with YoGov ASAP on the ride back. I filed a complaint to the state of Massachussets and to YoGov. YoGov responded by saying that there was a misunderstanding with the DMV staff but not respond to my citation of the law at all, neither did they commented on the legality of their business in the state of Massachussets. They've refunded me for the service but refuse to compensate me for the rescheduling fee and my time. TL;DR Used YoGov road test concierge for a road test in MA, turns out they do not have the proper licenses to do such businesses in the state and was told to reschedule again. I needed to get my DL replaced urgently but due to my work schedule had very limited time to get an appointment at the DMV - earliest booking I could get was 8 weeks ahead of time. Through YoGov I was able to secure an appointment at my preferred DMV within the week. After putting in my details and payment, Fiona contacted me to let me know that they were working on my booking. I wish I were the one to put five stars here. Unfortunately, I'm not. Today, I was scheduled to take a behind the wheel test at Redwood city DMV. I paid $25 appointment fee, $60 pre-practice fee, $139 concierge, just hoping to get this done quickly and without an error. However, when we did 1-hour practice and tried to register at the DMV, it turned out that THERE IS NO APPOINTMENT. In principle, it is free to make an appointment yourself, and this is exactly what I've paid for. We immediately called YoGov and they told me that they booked other DMV by mistake and I have to reschedule it. YoGov simply told me they will reschedule it and refund $50. If you are lucky and everything goes smoothly, YoGov could be great, but I am simply sad that all my effort (including practice around the DMV) was ruined. Taking a day off, finding daycare etc... and investing a weekday for driving exam was a commitment for me. I believe this is true particularly for other people who pay for this service. My driver was Leo he was great, he told me all the horror stories of passing and failing the dmv road test and he let me practice for an hour before he checked me in for my road test. I booked for a road test concierge through Skip (subsidiary of YoGov, and the program through which they book their services) and that was a HUGE mistake. Please know that the 'gov' in their name is misleading, this company is not associated with the federal government in any capacity, and is in fact just a scam service. First, it signed me up for their annual PAID subscription when I booked, which i suppose is my bad for not reading carefully enough. Totally fine, mistakes happen, I go to cancel the subscription. I can't find ANY way to do that on the site so after plenty of googling, I find their Terms Of Use and the link to unsubscribe there. I read it carefully, i have SCREENSHOTS of the TOS statement; no where did it say that cancelling the yearly membership would cancel my appointment. I even checked in the booked services tab to confirm, my appointment was still there and all good. Fast forward 2 weeks, day of my appointment, and THATS WHEN I FIND OUT IT WAS CANCELLED. I had no idea because 1) never got any email or contact about it 2) THEY KEPT THE MONEY FOR IT. If I'd gotten some random refund I would have known immediately that something was amiss. I only found out because I contacted the driver directly with the phone number they provided. In their email response to me, they claim the driver cancelled due to emergency but happily offered to reschedule me~~~ but my driver stated that not only was there nothing booked today, but she hadn't been notified about a potential appointment at all. So they failed to schedule me, blamed it on an employee who had no knowledge and STILL HAVEN'T REFUNDED ME. The second the conversation shifted from "we can reschedule you!!!" to "i don't want to be rescheduled I want a REFUND" i got RADIO SILENCE. NO RESPONSE. I'm still waiting!! And while I wait I will be leaving this review every where i can, so please do take your time Skip. I'm telling you now, this service is a scam in the very literal sense, please do not trust them with your money. read more

I used YoGov on April 17 to make an appointment for June 23 (more than 2 months in advance). At the time after some initial confusion on the part of YoGov - I received my confirmation. One day prior to my appointment - I messaged YoGov as I had received no reminders since the initial communication on April 17. I was informed that YoGov "couldn't pull up my appointment" and was offered their VIP service (which costs $15) to rebook in the coming 2 weeks. This did not work as I was only in town for the week of my appointment. When I asked to speak with a manager, emailed the initial YoGov concierge and tried to initiate a chat on the website - I had absolutely no response. I will likely not receive my license thanks to YoGov. This is a terrible service and a scam. Please do not waste your time. read more

Got my friend a drivers license test appointment in 2 weeks vs the 3 months DMV had open. Definitely worth the money

I wanted to take my behind the wheel test, and wanted a mini car (hatchBack) for the same. Before booking, I talked with the YoGov customer service and asked them if they have hatchbacks. They confirmed that they do have hatchbacks and they will provide the same. I did my bookings on getting this confirmation. On the day of my appointment, the instructor came with a sedan car. I told her that I wanted and asked for a hatchBack, but she said it depends on instructors availability. I had no option but to take the test with the same car, as I couldn't do anything in such a short time. Instructor gave me some tips before my test, and did not tell anything about roundabouts. During the actual test, DMV instructor took me to the roundabout and I failed because I did not had any idea about it. Worst customer service ever, and they even fail to deliver what they have promised. ----------------------------- Update- As soon as I posted this review, I got an email & call from the owner, asking how can they help me for my worst experience and also promising about the refund. I have used their service three times and was happy in all three of them. First time I used their service was when I needed to take my driver's exam but didn't have a car to take the test. I was referred by a friend that found out about them and also took his test with one of their drivers. I got a confirmation email and the details about my appointment. I got my appointment for the same week, early in the morning, which was not really what I was hoping for. But I would rather take the test early in the morning rather than have to wait months for it. The driver showed up about 15 min early (which was nice) and was cool enough to start the practice early. I chose to take this test in Oakland, bc it was near my girlfriend's place and I thought it would be less busy than SF, where I live. Practice was nice and Michele (the driver) was super nice. She was driving a Ford Fusion. The experience at the DMV was lame... they were backed up bc one of the instructors called in sick. So we had to wait 3 hours for my test. It was booked for 8am and I took it around noon. I ended up failing the test because I turned right into the bus lane. Truth is I didn't see it before the turn. My bad. Michele was really supportive and I got a discount to use their service if I ever wanted to take the test again with them. She was nice and dropped me off at my work, which is also in Oakland. After a couple of months I decided it was time again and took advantage of the discount I had. I thought about trying to rent a car, getting a friend to take me, etc. But it was so convenient to have someone show up at your house and take you to the test. So I decided to give it a try for the second time. This time I looked around and found out that Daly City was an easier place to take the test. I booked another appointment and got a confirmation to another appointment in Oakland. Not sure if they got my location from my previous order or if they used the zip code I typed in the form. If I could add a suggestion, I would say to try to improve the form. I replied to their email and got a response REALLY quick. I mean, it took them one hour or so. I was really impressed. Fiona recognized the mistake and canceled that appointment. She said they would try to find a new appointment for me in Daly City as I wanted. It took probably a couple of days, but I eventually got a new confirmation for the DMV office I wanted. It took another day or so until I got the confirmation of the driver that would take me this time. I was kind of hoping it would be Michele again bc I was already used to the car and she was awesome. My new driver, though (Vickie) was amazing as well! I didn't get the additional practice this time, but you still get some time to drive around and get used to the car before the test. This time everything went well. I didn't had to wait at the DMV and the test went really well. Finally passed! Vickie was super fun gave me great tips to nail my test. Oh, she was driving a Hyunday sedan. I don't remember exactly the model. But it felt like a new car and it was super clean. Third time I used their service was yesterday. My girlfriend decided to apply for a real id, but if you go do DMV's website the closest time was for September (and we are in July!). We noticed that you can eventually get closer dates by basically keep refreshing the page. I assume they appear whenever someone cancels their appointment. I have to work, though, so spending 24h doing that would not be viable to me lol. We paid for an express appointment and this time it took longer to get a confirmation. I assume they are swamped bc a lot of people from my work heard from or used their service. We eventually got an appointment, however, and it was awesome. Her appointment is scheduled for July 20th, which is not that bad (compared to September!). I think it was totally worth it. I saw that a couple of people had some bad experiences with them. I get that. It's like with any small startup but you can clearly see that they are trying to improve. Unfortunately that's the price you pay for being the first onef to use a brand new system. Or do you really think Uber was perfect from the get-go? I really recommend their service. And if you have issues, just reach out to them. All the interactions I had with their support team were great. They were responsive and thoughtful while trying solve my problems. For me, that's what matters. 5 stars all the way! So I took the extra hour practice and was happy I did so! Bernard picked me up on time and was very professional. He made sure I knew everything I needed to know. He made me practice on different routes that could possible come out in the road test. Luckily, during the road test itself, we took the exact same route we practiced on (only shorter). He made sure I was ready to take the exam and made me feel calm by giving some tips. I will definitely recommend YoGov to anyone looking for a DMV appointment. Do not use their road test service!!! In my first test, the driver's car was broken and I had to cancel the test 1 hour before the test. YoGov promised to refund me $50, but I haven't get the money back yet. The second driving test was booked 1 hour driving from where I was, while the driver didn't know that it will take so long to get to the dmv. I barely made the test and without driving the car before, I took the test and failed. I made my third appointment, and waited for more than a month. I had two poor back-to-back experiences with this company. My son missed his DMV driving test appointment because his YoGov driver didn't show up. Called the company and they apologized, asked to give them a second chance and took $50 off. Gave them a second chance. Got another DMV appointment a few days later and the second driver was an hour late! My son did not get the 1hr practice before taking the test but thankfully he passed. I was so excited to find this service. They have so many great reviews. I paid to use YoGov's service because I lost my license and was frantic to get an appointment with the dmv but couldn't because they are just inundated with requests at every single office. Due to some miracle or the stars being aligned just right, I randomly went to a DMV and although I did wait quite a long time, I managed to get my license replaced. I contacted YoGov by text message to let them know that I got extremely lucky and I no longer needed them to get me an appointment. They texted right back saying how glad they were that I had gotten it handled on my own and refunded my money with zero problem. This service is legit and if you use them I'm certain you won't be disappointed!! I would 100% use them in the future because I doubt I would ever be that lucky again!! Thanks so much, YoGov!! I scheduled a last minute appointment and paid for the booking. I waited for a confirmation email that they promised, but it never came. Patiently, I waited until the day of the appointment to call about the email and they had told me just hours before that my appointment had not been scheduled and that they need to reschedule it for another day. So I waited and called multiple times, but did not get an answer. I even messaged them on their website only to be left on read. Truly disappointed by their shoddy service and system. They contacted me a lot beforehand asking for personal information by text message, which isn't very secure or professional. Several people I spoke to thought they were a scam site. They also don't keep you up to date on what is going on, you just send them your personal details and eventually you get a text saying they have booked an appointment for you. I had to contact them to get updates, they reply within about 24 hours. The concierge driver was excellent, though they couldn't know that as they're selected on an uber based system and this was his first go. Overall, they did what they said they'd do. read more

Every time I have to do something responsible like book a doctor's appointment or go to the DMV, I wonder how anyone keeps up with these things. Who has time these days? I am lucky if I can go to bed at a consistent hour and have to remind myself to shower. I struggle with not feeling guilty about taking a day off work to get these things done so I try to fit them all in one day but that is a hassle in itself trying to coordinate. My license expired and was dreading going in to the DMV during busy season at work but thankfully complaining about it got me an introduction to YoGov! I took my coworkers advice and signed up to get matched with an appointment. It was ridiculously easy! I wasn't picky about the time I got. Jeff did a great job of texting me re: his progress and waiting until I got there when he got to the head of the line @8:50. I have recommended this service to several others. I would suggest that YoGov people get there at 6:30 or 7:00 at the latest, because I didn't get called until 3:30 and almost had to return the next day. My observation is that DMV handles all those with appointments first and assigns the letter G to those without appointments. I didn't have an appointment, because by the time I got my notice all the DMV appointments were taken. My number was G112 and if I had been able to get an earlier number, I would most likely have been out of there @2. They didn't start calling G's until @1:30. This is an update to a previous review (1-star). I was 3 weeks in and didn't receive any appointments yet. Contacted customer service and didn't get any replies. On my second attempt to contact them, they finally replied. They issued a refund per my request and ended up getting me an appointment for tomorrow, which would be just a couple days shy of the one month mark. It was reassuring to know that there was actual customer service that you can get a hold of (although it might take some effort) to sort things out. However, at the end of the day, this service is a gamble. It is not a 100% that you will get your appointment within one month, but you'll likely get your money back if you don't. The best thing to do is make an appointment yourself (even if it is 2 months out) as a backup plan, and then give this a try if you are really in a time pinch. read more

I live in Charleston,SC. I needed a DMV drive test concierge because it was too hard to coordinate using a family members car for the driving test to get my license here in Charleston. I looked online and found that YoGov has a service called Skip that offers exactly this service here. I was so pleased and relieved. I paid the $249 dollars for the service but the day of my driving test the concierge driver did not show up at all without warning. I called the service and they gave me some excuse about an emergency. I rescheduled everything for a week later and the exact same thing happened again this morning. This is by far the worst company I have ever paid to provide a service. I cannot imagine a worse way to run a business. If you live in the Charleston, SC area, or anywhere else I can imagine, do not use this service! And if you do, don't be disappointed when you find out that no services are rendered and you have to wait a week to get your refund. If I was more skeptical I'd even go as far as to say that it is a scam, but you'll just have to find out for yourself. read more

Amazing Service I just moved to the USA and was looking to get a drivers license. Believe me it is not easy for someone to understand what all needs to be done to get a license in USA. The written test appointment I got on the DMV site was 6 weeks away and of course I did not want to wait that long, I just stumbled on the Yo Gov site while trying to find an earlier appointment. I did some google research to figure out if they are legit and then signed up for the written test appointment. YoGov promised an appointment in 2 weeks. The first appointment that was provided to me was actually 3 weeks out but the team continued to get an earlier appointment they sent me another one that was 2.5 weeks out and then finally one that was 14 days from the time of my booking with them. Once the written test was cleared, I also booked for the behind the wheels test. The DMV provided appointment was for 2 months out and in 2 days of my booking with them they gave me the NEXT days appointment, so 3 days from the day I booked with them. As I am new here and also alone in the USA, I also took their service that provided the car and a licensed person to come with you for your driving test. Misha was amazing, she knew all the stuff that one should expect at the DMV and also knew the windows the process , lines etc. It all went super smooth and I got the license in the first attempt. YoGov is an awesome service that I found absolutely by chance. I needed a car and a person who could take me to the DMV early in the morning. And after asking many friends I concluded that it was either too early for them or there were some problems with the car. I am 19 y.o. so I couldn't even rent a car. Two days before my exam I was really upset and was about to give up on the idea of getting a driver license. BUT, when I was so close to that step, I stupidly decided to google "what to do if you don't have a car for DMV" and guess what? I found many results that were suggesting mostly driving schools until I found one website that was talking about YoGov. I immediately read the review and filled the application making an appointment for Tuesday 7am. Yeah, i know, 7am seems impossible, but i wanted to have a good practice before the test, which was planned for 9am. And after paying and receiving a confirmation number, i realized that it's actually happening and this system is working. Then the concierge texted me saying that he will pick me up at 7am. After that, we were driving and talking about different stuff and it really helped me, making it less stressful and more doable. We even had time to go and get a cup of coffee. After checking in the DMV, filling in the paperwork, we were sitting in the car, waiting in the line. BTW there were no issues with the documents or the car. My concierge was supporting me till the last minute when the examinator came which i am really thankful for!!! I passed the test on the first try and the tips the concierge gave me really helped me out. So after having a nice experience, i would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to get their license. I think it's better to spend some money, without stressing out about car, papers and get your license on the first try, making it a good memory than suffering from it many times. Thank you YoGov!
