We knew after our first meeting with Gina that we were in good hands; she made it all so easy on our end. The deli here is amazing! I got the enchilada lunch special and it was so filling, clean and delicious for only 7$ or something, but the entire cooked food area was beyond orderly and the glow of the baked chicken was so goldenly perfect I ended up staring at it for a minute I was so mesmerized by all the perfectly cooked food. I'll be back to take a picture lol, but also great organic section too. They have everything you need here-support this place over China-Mart, though Wal-Mart to their credit is starting to carry some made in the U.S.A. stuff and we as the consumers need to vote with our pockets by looking at labels too. read more

Here on a holiday, staying in Hope. Hope has very, very little in the way of groceries and this was the place to stock up we were told. A bit different of a setup. One side reminds me of the typical grocery store, the other section reminds me of a Whole Foods/Sprouts style market. In other words, what are you looking for and you will find it here. It's a nice store but the layout of the aisles makes zero sense. I'm always confused as to where an item is when i go in. Some items that you may assume are in the natural side of the market are not, and Vice versa. So you end up having to look in two places on every single item. The order of the aisles also isn't very intuitive and some things in the store are blocked off so you can't tell where they would be unless you went all the way around through the next aisle. It just makes no sense. Other than that i do like the variety of brands they have. They have Simple mills brand crackers which have been discontinued at a certain other store than shall remain unnamed. read more

I love this place. I shop here as often as possible. They have a natural market part off to the right when you walk in, and in the very back they have a fresh market for meats and fish. I love buying my dinners from there. They often have chicken jalapeno poppers, and just jalapeno poppers which are both delicious. I always try the new things they make, and everything has been very good. I love that you can truly shop the outer isles here and be healthy about your choices. They have a huge selection of organic products for babies and I get all my bird food here (I make it fresh). Amazing selection of produce/greens/veggies/etc. And the staff is always friendly. read more

I ordered a birthday cake here for my Mother-In-Law's 80th Birthday. I told them the flavor and frosting we wanted a what color of decoration. It was ready when requested and was beautiful. The cake was fresh and tasted wonderful. I highly recommend the blueberry filling. read more

I've shopped here for as long as I can remember. I always loved the delli's pizza. But tonight everything changed. I went and got my slice of pizza, and thought why not walk around the store and shop while I eat it?(Being that I had already paid for my pizza.) As I was walking down the chip isle I heard someone say "Get him!" Before I knew it a taller gentleman was running at me full speed. I tried to move out of the way thinking there is no way he was running at me. But the man tackled me to the ground, got on top of me and proceeded to choke me with both hands! An employee ran up and began kicking me in the head! The whole time the man choking me was yelling. "You trying to steal from Dusty Johnson? Nobody steals from Dusty Johnson!" (Come to find out Dusty Johnson is the manager of yokes.) The man from the deli eventuality came to my rescue. Yelling "No stop! He paid for the pizza!" Still being choked I managed to pull my receipt out of my pocket and show it to the man on top of me. He examined it, got up, and spit on me! As he walked away I heard him saying. "Nobody steals from Dusty Johnson." The man from the deli gave me a new slice of pizza. Since mine had been knocked to the floor as a result of being tackled. I am truly afraid of that man and never will be returning to yokes! The pizza gave me food poisoning. I was in the hospital for 3 days due to dehydration. read more

Absolutely love Yokes. Always clean, great products, stocked even at odd hours. We always stop here either on the way to Montana or on the way back to Oregon. Wish we had one in Portland they're better than most of our grocers. read more

Items in fruit/veg area with no marked prices, nobody around to ask. Checkout was slow and very under-manned at 1pm. The previous week they had self checkout, not sure what happened to that? Apparently it is an employee-owned business, so can't blame Management! read more

Best option for grocery shopping, especially if you're on this end of town. Great selection: produce department has a lot of organic options and they carry products I haven't seen at other places in the area. Caution if you're using a credit card and are from out of town; on two different trips months apart, my card has been declined here even though there was no reason it should have been (and I'd used it at other merchants in town the same day). Clerks did not seem empowered to help (a call to the bank would have cleared things up quickly). read more

This is a fun place. I come here with my husband to pick up funs beers and sodas. They have every flavor of Dry Soda, so we come here often. The Gluten Free section is more then a shelf, but a whole section. I'm not gluten intolerant, but I find myself shopping this section when I have people coming over. I also really like the deli. I get their pasta salads, and my husband likes their pizza. read more

We spent a week in Days Inn right across the road, so we shopped in the Organic part of Yokes.. We loved it and they had a lot more organic foods than we can get here... the store was always clean and very nice workers... we are planning to move to Idaho in the Spring, we would like to move somewhere close to Sandpoint so we can go shop at Yokes when ever we want.. read more
