I signed up for 7 hours of lessons and a driving test. For my first 6 hours I had Yolanda teaching me. She was the so helpful in calming me down when I first drove. She really helped me become a confident driver and taught me how to not be scared of LA driving. I also went on the freeway and that's what initially scared me the most. However, with Yolanda, she fixed that so easily. I was a fresh, new, baby driver and I had no idea what I was doing. If you want an instructor that will instill good driving habits and amazing techniques I highly recommend Yolanda and her services!!! She's professional and on time! She's also easy to talk to and funny! For my 1 hour warm up and DMV driving test I had Fred. He's funny and will be firm when it comes to your mistakes. I highly recommend Yolanda's Driving School because thanks to Yolanda and Fred I passed my behind the wheel test on my first try. I am a very nervous wreck when it comes to taking tests and honestly I thought I was never going to have a license. The last time a drove a car was about 10 years ago (only in residential areas) which made me even more nervous to get back on the main intersections. Both Yolanda and Fred are very friendly,warm,funny and responsible when it comes to picking and dropping you off for the driving lessons. The prices are very reasonable too.. My child had a tremendous amount of anxiety leading up to taking their behind the wheel test. My daughter had Yolanda as a driving instructor last year. The first time my daughter took the driving test Yolanda took her but had to leave before she completed it. My daughter felt so abandoned and totally failed :( We did a few more training hours with Yolanda and she said she could take her the second time but it would be extra money. My daughter failed again. Yolanda seems very nice but often times was on her phone during training. She also told my daughter "you'll have no problems passing" both times which gave her a false sense of confidence. After failing twice I thought Yolanda would reach out to us and try and work with us. That didn't happen. Now we have to find a new instructor and start all over again. Between their customer service (shoutout to Ana) and the excellence of their instructors, it is money well spent. I am very Grateful for Yolanda preparing me for the driving test on my two hour lesson and even attempted to get me a Same day appointment (didn't but she tried ) showed me what the DMV examiners mostly look at and what I mostly needed to work on.In so little time I learned very much . Yolanda's driving school had such nice instructors that helped me pass my drivers exam. I passed my exam at the Pasadena DMV with Alexandra, who was a very nice instructor who calmed me before my test and cheered me on. This was my fifth time taking the exam. Before Yolanda's driving school, I had driving anxiety and failed 3 road tests. I practiced with Robin who really pinpointed what errors I was making and refined them. He gave me so much confidence in my driving and he was very careful with instructing me with my driving anxiety. Unfortunately, he didn't work during weekdays so I took the exam with another instructor. I failed my fourth time because of a picky examiner but on my fifth attempt I passed! It was a long journey (three years, one bad private instructor with my first permit, lots of money invested) but I finally passed and I have Yolanda's driving school to thank. For me it was more of a formality since I have more than enough experience but it ended up being very helpful. Things such as traffic checks were not my strong suit but my instructor for the first 2 hour, Christian, helped me a lot and kept me in check.
