We came here last week to take their free introductory class for my 5 year old. He's pretty shy at first and doesn't like loud noises, but at the end of the 35 minute class, he was begging me to sign him up for more classes. The only "loud noises" are the 4-6 year old kids shouting in unison, "Yes, Sir!" (super adorable). The prices are very reasonable, especially with their promo going on right now that includes the uniform and a month of unlimited classes. Then you can choose from 1 to 3 classes per week at different price tiers. I was really impressed with the space - clean, colorful signage, family friendly, and inviting. We even found the other parents to be friendly as well...they were applauding my son's efforts, knowing it was his first time. There are two rows of chairs along the side of the room where parents can sit and observe the class. Another wall is all mirrors so the kids can easily see the rest of the class and themselves. There's a smaller equipment room off to the side with a water fountain, so no need to bring bottled water. Because it was Friday evening (so the most popular class), there were a handful of young instructors helping out in addition to Master Yu. I loved that. Their ages ranged (from what I could tell) to high school age to college... they were all super supportive and knew their stuff! Sometimes, adults can be intimidating to little kids, so to see younger Tae Kwon Do students helping with the class instantly put my son at ease. The class is well-structured with Tae Kwon Do instruction, but also exercise drills that start with stretching. Sometimes the counting of the moves is done in English, and sometimes in Korean (love it!!). The class ends with all of the kids bowing to their parents and saying, "I love you". There is a theme of teaching the kids respect and courtesy throughout the class, and I think that's what I took away most from this facility. While my son may think he's training to be a Lego Ninjago warrior, I know that he's actually learning valuable life lessons. We're very much looking forward to making Yong In Tae Kwon Do an important part of my son's life! read more

My son is in his 3rd year at Yong In Tiger Tae Kwon Do and our experience with them has been wonderful! He started as a shy 4 year old in the Little Tigers class and has developed confidence and skills as he's advanced and grown into the Juniors class. Master Yu and the instructors make learning enjoyable for the kids so they want to return week after week. They participate in several tournaments throughout the year (and host one, as well), which provides the students many opportunities to test the skills that they are working on. There is also a great family atmosphere and camaraderie among the parents. I recommend Yong In to anyone interested in martial arts in the area. read more

My entire family has been going here for years. We had tried a different TKD school in the area when we first moved here but were not happy. We have NEVER been disappointed that we switched. Master Yu and his assistant instructor are amazing with all of the students, especially the young children.
