There is no surprise to the fact that Mac Computers are the best selling computers in the USA, and that iPhones and iPads are the most popular in their field. Plus Mac's marketing team is extremely effective in promoting products and software, so it makes sense that they have moved almost everything to become web based, with only the hardware being sold via retailers.
Yoobee is a retailer that sells Mac products, and they only do the hardware bits, so if you need software upgrades, then you need to go online. If you need advice, then you need to go online... And this is where it all falls flat.
The guys and galls working for Yoobee are nothing more than sales people. They can punch in a price, and print a receipt. More than that, it depends on the person of the day. I doubt that they get any Mac training. So it is very frustrating for shoppers to get answers to everyday problems, as you would expect them to assist with small everyday issues.
I'm not sure if my beef is with Mac or Yoobee, but I do feel that a specialist shop should hire staff with a more than average knowledge, or at least bother to train them. I love Macs, but you might as well buy on price, and for that Yoobee is too expensive, and there is no added value. read more
