The measure of a good Chinese restaurant's food for me is, sweet and sour chicken, young chow fried rice, garlic/szechuan/spicy sesame wontons, and fried dumplings. At China Star these measure up pretty well, but the rest of the menu is a bit hit or miss. They do offer black pepper chicken though which is one of my favorites. I order mine without onions as they load up the plate with onions, but I can't eat them. All of the dishes I listed are tasty and I'd routinely order them. I had chicken wings that weren't too good, their dumplings aren't that good (except for the spicy kind), and some of the other plates are mediocre.
