I really wanted it to just run straight through, but had multiple different surfaces at the time (HW, tile and vinyl). Luiz walked through all the options with me and gave me a great price. He came a few days later and did the whole project in under 2 days, including having to move my furniture from side to side to get it all done. I already have him in mind for my next two projects (including replacing my kitchen countertops, new backsplash and 2nd floor flooring)! It's not just that he was trying to up-sell me that bothered me, it's that he did so in an insulting way, constantly noting how much work the house needed, how my family should take better care of it and basically calling us cheap. In actuality, we would have paid Paulo to paint the exterior of the house if he had spent less time insulting us and more time focusing on doing good work. He missed several spots on the ceiling, painted over the trim by mistake and didn't come back to fix it. He also took advantage. We asked him for an estimate for finishing the remaining trim and instead, he just painted us and sent us a bill. Now that he has "completed" the job, he won't respond to my requests for a receipt. Overall, it wouldn't have taken much to make me a happy customer. He just had to do the job and be nice and we would have given him much more work, but that wasn't the case.

Their showroom is extensive, and you're greeted upon arrival. Betty quickly honed in on what we were looking for, and took us straight to the section that could meet our needs. After showing her the granite we already have, she brought out several samples and a few that varied a bit from what we said we were looking for. Well, we brought a sample home, and the one we fell in love with was actually quite different than what we thought we were looking for! They have a huge array of products at different prices. Our selection just happened to be on the low end, at $11/sq. ft. Some other marble tiles we viewed were as much as $50/sq. ft. You definitely get what you pay for - $11 was a little more than we were looking at from Home Depot but the quality of the product and the service were so much higher at Cloutier, it's worth it!

Miguel worked with my timeline to insure I could have the exterior door at the bottom of the hatchway into our basement framed and installed within 24 hours of him installing the hatchway. Some settling of fill around the hatchway after some heavy rain two days later and Miguel was there within 2 hours to fill and compact. Another small amount of settling happened in front and he was there to fill and compact within two days (I texted him on Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend and he arrived before 8:30AM in Tues to fill and compact.
